We made an inquiry online and same day, Beki called us and helped us make a reservation online for the next day. The ranch was easy to find and very beautiful when you arrive. We were greeted by Hannah who was also our tour guide. She thoroughly explained how to properly ride the horse, gave us an agenda beforehand and made sure we were safe throughout the trail. She took some awesome photos of us too. Any question I asked, she answered. Hannah was very informative, kind and patient with us. Her passion for horses illuminated the tour. So glad she was our leader! The horses, May, Marigold and Willow - wonderful. They were professional and well taken care of. The horses on the ranch are super healthy and didn't give anyone problems. They are just as happy as us guests. Can't wait to come back.

My family & I kept our horses & trained with Jennifer Medlock for many years. She started her…read morebusiness "Showtime Farm" out of our personal facility without overhead or the expectation to share a percentage of her earnings with us. She introduced us to a con artist who she was supposedly dating at the time. Chris Conner wrote up a false contract (she signed the approval of) to sell our show horse to new owners. We had decided to honor the contract once it was revealed, as the new owners had begun making their payments already. It was never our intention to sell the horse completely, but to find a partner in ownership instead. Jennifer removed our horses from the property one night without our permission under the claim that Chris had made a threat to their safety, which we later found was untrue. She took all horses besides those not associated with her lesson program. Only after their removal, she called to notify us. Once we found a new location for my mother's personal horse (who Jennifer had left behind) we planned to move my horse (whom she had taken) to the facility with him. Jennifer asked permission to keep my horse (Casey) on a free-lease agreement, as I had moved out of state to pursue my education, was then traveling for my career, and no longer riding. Her terms were: she would use him for her lesson program, provide his care & use partial lease agreements with students of interest to contribute towards his care. I agreed to this, since I would not be able to commit to my riding as I once did. I trusted her word over the next few years, when I'd contact her through phone calls & messages, that he was in good shape & being cared for with no complications. There were a few times where her business was slow and my family would write checks to cover his cost of care. We had never been notified of any severe health complications or troubles. Around 2012 I decided to begin riding again. I would visit the farm for occasional lessons & noticed that Casey's health had started to decline. I was not well-versed in animal husbandry at the time & took her word that he was "just aging & having a harder time keeping weight on". By 2013 I had started volunteering at a Thoroughbred Rescue and Recovery center & was learning about husbandry on a level which Jennifer had failed to teach. Casey's health was rapidly declining & as I shared his photos with my colleagues, the discussion began that his conditions were more likely due to neglect rather than age. Casey was, at that time, being kept outside, with no shelter, in a very small paddock, exposed to flooding & deep mud. When asked why he was not provided with a stall, she claimed he did not like them, and she had to deal with him having severe colic during a storm when she placed him in one. I was never contacted about this (or any) colic episodes. I was soon notified that her leasing client would no longer be doing a partial lease on him & we were to take over on his expenses again fully, ending the free lease. Fortunately, I was at an age & in a place to begin providing care for him on my own, with the help of my fiance (now husband). We decided that the cost of care with minimal accommodations at her facility was unsatisfactory, and that due to his declining health, he should be retired from her riding program at that time. We had the opportunity to move him to facility which would provide him to free access to a personal stall, an acre of grazing pasture, and would place him in a closer location where my family could visit with him daily. Jennifer was extremely volatile in her reaction towards our decision & reacted with threats against my family & myself, as well as extreme verbal assaults, despite my attempts to keep things diplomatic & peaceful. The following day she tried to reconcile over the phone, but our decision had been made. We moved Casey to a new facility shortly after & dedicated all to his recovery. He was rated a 2 out of 9 (with 1 being the thinnest) on the Henneke body score, by our equine vet. He was over due with zero records provided on multiple seasons of vaccines, dental care & hoof care. He had severe skin infections from his head to his tail with no signs of treatment. He was given minimal nutritional care, when he was in need of a very specialized senior diet. He showed obvious physical signs of neglect and behavior likened to possible trauma (abuse). She failed to report his health conditions, tell the truth about his reason for declining health, pull him from her training program to recover, or notify us of her inability to provide proper care from the beginning of his decline. Casey is now 26 years old and lives with us in Northern California in perfect health. I have before & after photos. I have decided to post this as she continues her work in Florida and I continue to encounter her supporters online who verbally assault me. I should have pressed charges then.

My wife used to keep her horses with and train under owner, Jennifer Medlock, for nearly a decade…read more By the time I met my wife, she was starting to notice the quality of care decrease. It was not until 2013, when my wife started volunteering with an equine rehabilitation center, that we obtained the knowledge and secondary professional opinions that her lesson horse was in neglectful circumstances under Jennifer Medlock. He was malnourished, suffering from skin infections, was overdue for vaccinations, hoof care, dental work, and was being kept in less than favorable conditions without shelter. Jennifer insisted that his condition was due to age rather than neglect, but after seeking professional input outside of Showtime Farm, we decided to relocate my wife's horse and retire him outside of the lesson program that Jennifer was still utilizing him for. It was my understanding over the year I was involved, that my wife's horse was being kept with Jennifer on a free-lease verbal agreement after relocating him to a new facility without prior permission. The entirety of that story can be seen in my wife's review. Jennifer had been partial leasing him to her students plus utilizing him for her lesson program for profit. We attempted to pursue his relocation and retirement in the most diplomatic way possible, but were met with verbal assault, slander, and threats by Jennifer and her close associates. Due to our finances being dedicated to the recovery of my wife's horse, we did not pursue legal actions, but regret not doing so. We still encounter verbal online attacks from her supporters several years later. My wife's horse has since made a full recovery and is now turning 26 years old under our personal care. He has been relocated to California with us and is living a happily retired life. I do not recommend this woman's services, as my personal experience with her has proven her actions dishonest, untrustworthy, neglectful, and potentially abusive. I would be extremely weary of her training and boarding methods and all those whom closely associate with her. Pictures of my wife's horse are available for viewing on her YELP review as well.
