There's a very nice patio area (we ate inside) and I saw that they do live music on the weekends. (We visited on a Monday.) There's an entrance to the restaurant via the hotel and obvs. vice versa. The hotel looked super nice! We were staying at a hotel across the lot and didn't want to drive anywhere for dinner, so we were happy to have the place available for us. We had a group of seven adults and a baby, and when I called late in the afternoon, they were able to accommodate us at exactly the time we desired. From the moment I pulled up, I had a good feeling. The exterior has that historic charm, and inside it's beautifully updated while still keeping the character of the building. We were seated in a semi-private room overlooking the dam, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The service was fantastic - attentive without being overbearing - and the food absolutely delivered. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, from the smash burger to salmon and rice, shrimp, steak, and even the French onion soup. Everything was spot on. And I have to mention the dirty martini with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives... incredible. Every single person in our group enjoyed their meal, the drinks, and the atmosphere. Highly recommend - this will definitely be our go-to spot the next time we're in town.

The only oddity about this place was parking. Be ready to parallel park on the street. Very odd parking situation.

Everything about this place is fantastic, starting with the food and then moving on to service and ambiance. A Rochester restaurant owner admonished me for being too negative about places here but, when I have really good food somewhere else, I cannot help it. Anyways, though I had breakfast, the lunch specials looked really good, too. You can't beat home cooking. Bottom line, it's too bad this place isn't closer.

My friend loves their Langostino Lobster & Shrimp. I think he orders this every time we go. When my sister came up on her last visit she chose the Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese and raved about it. They also make a fantastic Strawberry Daquiri Of course there's a full drink menu with several other choices, but my sister and I prefer these. What's great about Green Mill is not only can everyone find something they like, it's also nice on the pocket book. Their prices are comparable with competitors like Applebee's and Chili's.

My husband and I both opted for burgers, for which there were numerous options, some quite unusual. I wasn't bold enough to order the Juicy Lucy with peanut butter, but I did get the one with an overeasy egg cooked into the upper half of the bun. The meat was very tasty and well-seasoned with what appeared to be steak seasoning--cracked black pepper, coriander, probably toasted garlic and onion powder. The burger came with a generous side--a full-sized basket of tater tots, nicely crispy on the outside and enough to share. Fortunately, Wednesdays are "burger nights," during which you can order a burger without a side for a discounted price ($12 rather than $15) and also get a discount on your second drink (not applicable, as I had a soda and my husband had just water). My husband had the Salty Dog burger (sour cream, provolone cheese, chopped green olives) sans side; he said it was good, but "a bit busy." Service was good--friendly, helpful, but attentiveness dwindled toward the end of our meal, resulting in drinks running dry. The ambiance is rather lacking--the floors are cement and the ceilings low, so it is LOUD when there are other people in the restaurant, but it the restaurant also makes no pretense of being anything other than a basement burger/beer joint.
