Great food on Monday. Great waitress Sue. Tuesday it was like the restaurant rolled over and died. We didn't get to sit in Sue's area and th service and food was like a first grader made it. The waitress was slow and rude. The food was not as advertised or very great taste. It took 30 minutes from order to served. I will say this the manager made the whole thing right. He offered to replace the food and if we had had the time we would've let him. He did contact us to a bar five meals and gave us a 20% discount so we will be back next year when we passed through. read more

Biscuits and gravy with hash browns is what I get every time I eat at a Perkins restaurant and my mom always gets the potato pancakes. Every Perkins we go to, they are consistent in the food tasting the same at every location. The coffee is good and i appreciate when they serve vanilla creamer too. The service was terrible and the waitress had her family sitting at the table next to us and she never came to check on us and took an hour to get our food. I feel sorry for them not having enough help. With that the food was decent but who puts cheese on biscuits and gravy? That definitely needs to be taken off. Prices are very comparable. The best thing was our server, Richard. He was very polite and made sure we were taken care of. read more

Service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's a good server who is on top of making sure you are happy with your experience other times they could care less. Food is not bad but sometimes will take a long time to come to your table. Even when slow and no one is in the store food has taken up to 30+min wait. read more

I know Perkins isn't thought of as a high-quality restaurant to begin with, but this one is truly exceptional... in its unexceptionality. The problem is--this is basically the only place to have breakfast in Norfolk, which I simply can't get over. The service is fine enough but the food, both time I went, was terrible. Came here with a group of 3 on a Saturday night. Hardly anyone in the dining room and took 2 hours from when we arrived until we left. The waitress told us that only 3 people were working that night which was unfortunate. It was 30 minutes before we could our order and about an hour and a half to get our food. Gravy for biscuits was VERY watered down and tasted gross. Eggs had the consistency of rubber. Hash browns were lukewarm and mushy. Bacon was okay but the rest of the meal sorta ruined the overall experience. I would not recommend breakfast period. When I went to wait it was 1pm on a Sunday and only 25% capacity was allowed and not met. Sat immediately placed order and waited. And waited. Watched the manager console the table next to us for their order being wrong. Waited longer til finally our food was brought out with my order completely wrong. Now it's not busy at all. My order was quite easy. And by the time it would have been remade the Mrs would have been sitting and waiting on me. So I decided to send back the rediculous order. It has gotten worse since the place opened 2 years ago. To the point were I won't go back. Last time there the waiter served the adults first before the children. After that my youngest Daughter order a grilled cheese sandwich when it arrived it was two cold slices of cheddar of cheese in the middle of two slices of toasted bread. Ha hello. How do you screw up a grilled cheese. When asked to fix it they through it in the microwave and brought it back with the cheese so melted and the bread so soggy that it looked like shit. They didn't do anything to make it right for us. The only thing that was said by the waiter was the manager was cooking and he needed lessens on cooking and that was all he said. We stopped here on our way through and read the reviews on here not expecting much. The food was great and waitress was very friendly. Food came out piping hot and within 15 minutes. Got a coffee and strong like I like it as well as fresh. One of the better Perkins I've been to and there are several of them in Omaha. read more

The food was great. That is why I gave it 3 stars. I watched from the waiting area and witnessed a server deliver food to a table. (I noticed she was chewing gum.), I she then used the back of her hand to wipe her nose. I kept saying to myself not her don't seat me in her section. No surprise! My luck sucks, and was sat in her section. Just as I expected she was a horrible server. I am a former server of 20 years. I'm an automatic $5 bill. I joined yelp just so I could warn any potential future victims driving through Norfolk, as we were last night. During a 5 hour drive, we were lured in by the thoughts of comfort food after a stressful day. What a disappointment. We should've turned around and walked out with our first impression from the rude host. The food was very slow being served. My food wasn't even warm... It was COLD. I asked the waitress if the food had been done for a while and was just sitting in the kitchen and she responded ,"I have no idea." She was very annoyed when I asked her to please bring hot food. When I finally received my new plate, everyone at the table was nearly finished, I only received part of my meal, and what they brought was COLD! I asked if they would bring the rest of my meal, which seemed to again annoy the waitress. By the time I got my eggs, we were getting ready to leave.
