Food is okay and price is great here. Senior and lodging options and potential coupons for locals work their magic. Perkins is an acceptable standard of food for a positive dining experience with foodie subpar food. I enjoyed my fish, broccoli, and even the portion size, but I didn't love it personally. My friends seemed pleased with their meals. Quality service here- she brought back more To Go containers for a last minute request.

From high end steaks to everyday burgers and then my favorite..... breakfast served all day. It is very spacious, so it was easy to get a seat even on a busy Saturday morning. Complete with a cozy fireplace, it is clean, well appointed and has an inviting atmosphere. The sound levels can be a bit much, and since it's a family place, you will occasionally be dealing with a screeching/screaming child. But overall, a very nice dining experience. Coffee and water came quickly with a complimentary bread and muffin basket. I ordered a special style eggs benedict with a croissant and melted Swiss cheese under an herbal hollandaise sauce, (instead of an english muffin) and my husband ordered a wonderful homemade turkey barley soup and the hot turkey sandwich entree. The food was very very good. It is worth every minute of the forty minute drive from our house!

The menu means towards middle-American classics: turkey sandwiches, meatloaf, pork chops, etc. The twist? There's a maple-syrup theme snuck in wherever it can go. The glaze on the baby carrots, on the pork chops, on the chicken breast? Yes! Maple! The service is skilled and efficient, the people-watching unparalleled, and the portions are enormous for the listed price. Figure two meals for the listed price, and it seems a better deal! Limited wine and beer list; gift shop on premises for maple syrup and jams as souvenirs.

We had the entire back room to ourselves. Our waitress was attentive to our large group. It's definitely got a polished casual, wine bar sort of vibe to it so you can pretty much dress however you want. It's not the normal sort of place you'd go to for breakfast necessarily, but it was open and my friends swore by it. My kids got hot chocolates and the adults all got Irish coffees. The hot chocolates were decadent and delicious without being scorching hot. PERFECT for the kids! My friends loved their Irish coffees as their typical go-to. I like my coffee a bit on the sweeter/creamier side and this wasn't really it with a bit of that coffee bitterness still coming through that was a bit of a turnoff for me. That's just me and my personal taste though, so take it with a grain of salt. My kids shared a French toast with blueberries (no kids menu available, it seems) and it was HUGE. They will usually pound an adult portion of anything between the two of them and even this was too much. There were 2 extra thick slices to start and there was easily a half slice left, enough to fill a small to-go box up pretty solid. I got the burrito which came topped with salsa (ranchero) and cheddar cheese plus a side of shredded hash browns. The hash browns were half crispy and half limp but still quite tasty. The burrito itself was a good size though not enormous. While nothing mind blowing, especially for the $19 price tag, it was a solid meal overall. One of my friends got the lobster eggs benedict special and said it was life-changing. It was $24 and came with a massive hunk of lobster meat. For a $3 charge over the standard benedict, that's a steal and smartly priced for a good heaping of lobster. Getting the food out seemed to take a little bit of time, but the server was good about checking in on us throughout and the other staff we spoke to were also very friendly. Overall, a solid experience. Definitely paying a little bit extra for the ambience and ski resort town, but I'd still come back to check out the lunch and dinner offerings for sure!

You know you're close when your phone goes into SOS mode and you fully commit to pancakes & maple syrup as a survival plan! I learned something new on this visit. We were initially shown to a table, but since only 3 of our 4 party members had arrived, we were asked to return to the lobby until everyone was present. The server assured us that once our fourth arrived, we'd be seated with the next available table, and that's exactly what happened. It gave us a few extra moments to watch pancakes methodically and continuously be poured, flipped and served from the griddle. We had the chance to sit in the original dining room, which features beautiful hand-painted murals. The booth cushions are well worn from years of use, adding to the charm and nostalgia of the space. The room itself felt bright, warm, and inviting. Service from Michelle was prompt and friendly, even with the steady pace of the restaurant. We ordered three AYCE pancake and sausage plates, coffees, a kids' pancake, and a maple milkshake. Pro tip: skip sugar and add maple syrup to your coffee. Trust me! Whether you're visiting with a few family members or bringing a large group, the Maple Tree Inn is a place full of memories, tradition, and perfectly maple-infused breakfasts. Remember to bring along cash or a check since digital payment is not an option. Breakfast served at all hours, and as I learned to my delight, so is the lunch menu! I explained to the waitress I'd been working nights, so the meal I was looking for did not include eggs. Could I get the soup and salad lunch special? She didn't bat an eye, and it was 7:30 am. The atmosphere at that hour was very much a retiree coffee klatsch; familiar and joking. The coffee was a bottomless refill, and the waitress knew all her customers. The decor of the restaurant leaned towards maps of Canada, snowshoes, and antlers. I absolutely loved what was on the plate as a side: The soft, fluffy, toasted and buttered roll. It was a cross between a Parker house and a crumpet. Delicious! The French onion soup was nicely toasted, with a cheese unknown in France: mozzarella. The side salad was large enough for an entree, and they were kind enough to bring me oil and vinegar when I requested a vinaigrette. (The balsamic kind, which they had, was too sweet for me). I'd love to come back and try their flaky-looking cherry turnovers or danishes.
