I ate at Perkins recently and it was a joke. I got the 2 egg omelette with ham and cheese. The poor thing looked lost on the plate it was so small. If I was the cook I would have been embarrassed to serve it. The waiter was very nice and good at his job though. read more

Food is okay and price is great here. Senior and lodging options and potential coupons for locals work their magic. Perkins is an acceptable standard of food for a positive dining experience with foodie subpar food. I enjoyed my fish, broccoli, and even the portion size, but I didn't love it personally. My friends seemed pleased with their meals. Quality service here- she brought back more To Go containers for a last minute request. read more

I was at the Olean Perkins today 11/7/2022 with my grandson and his friend. It took a long time for our food to arrive although they were busy and the boys ordered hamburgers which probably takes awhile if done right aside from that my scrambled eggs were luke warm and hash browns tasted undercooked. The waitress never came back, not even to clear our table when we were all done. She gave me the check when our food arrived. not so much as a thank you or how was everthing. I had to order scrambled eggs bc last time I was ther the eggs were under cooked and runny. I didn't complain then. My grandson has a slice of pie coming and as I paid the check to the very rude cashier I went back to the table and still no pie, finally saw our waitress and signaled her and she said to my granson "Oh, you're pie". he said wrap it up please, to go. we left. I won't be going back to Perkins again. read more

I usually choose this restaurant for date night with my boyfriend and enjoy the food. Wednesday night we went one full hour before close and were greeted with the cook yelling from the kitchen about having already closed a grill down, I said it was fine we are only two people. We were rushed to order, when I asked for more time to look she went back to kitchen and we would hear yelling again, and waitress saying they wanna get out of there at 10. Needless to say, the two workers managed to drive us away from your business like I think they intended, we walked out and let them know that. Terrible experience, went to Applebees who also close at 10 and had a great experience there. Not our date night spot anymore, when a customer is made to feel unwelcome, do not recommend. read more

My husband and I were on a road trip and agreed not to eat in any chain restaurants along the way. We both also agreed that we had to make just one exception for Perkins. We don't have any near us in New Hampshire, so we had breakfast there. It's everything Perkins should be. The food is perfect and the people are friendly and welcoming. Carol was an excellent server and we were glad we stopped in. Everything was clean and well maintained. I think we lucked out with seating because it was early enough on a Sunday that most people were still in church. read more

Worst service ever, went here after my graduation and the wait has been almost 2 hours now. And no food. This has been the worst experience I have ever had at this Perkins. Not to mention the waitress of 4 tables not assisting any of them well. We were sat first, and the waitress forgot our order completely. The Good: A good menu and a helpful, experienced staff. We've been coming for about 15 years on Thanksgiving and other times, and we've seen the same (mostly happy) faces over and over. The Bad: The place is getting somewhat shabby, and they have removed the salad bar. Parking can also be difficult during busy times, as the lot is a strange shape. Overall, recommended. Hopefully, they'll have the funds to fix up the place one of these days. read more

Served me slop and the manager would not fix the mess when delivered. Told me that because I complained, I was barred from ever coming back to the restaurant. I didn't catch his name but he was a morbidly obese manager and the other guy was very inbred looking with black hair, (some black hair dye running down his neck and with a very pronounced over -bite.) I'm not sure but one of the waitresses may have called him Luke. He just stood there giggling at the mess. No, this is not a troll post. I am very serious. This is the only place where I was treated like a war criminal. My "meal" looked like it had been dropped on the floor. The plate was greasy and the food looked very old. Excellent restaurant! The food was tasty, the service was exceptional, and the bakery always has tons of options for desserts! We bought a caramel apple pie and it was out of this world. I highly recommend stopping here! read more

Beth and Carol are the best! They really care about their customers. I enjoy a breakfast that is available on the week days but didn't seem to be on weekends. Carol explained how to make the order and this morning Beth took care of us and was ready to accommodate my request. Breakfast at Perkins is enjoyable because the staff is so great! read more

Staff is helpful and nice. The salad I had (with extras per my request) was great! The rest of my fam had various items and said it was so so. The tables and benches were quite dirty. And the restaurant had an over all foul smell, like cow manure. read more

I used to love going here but as of lately it is like they either don't care or they are trying to hard to cut corners , my last three visits have been unsatisfying from chicken so tough you couldn't cut it even with a steak knife , we were told that new owners took over , we decided that we would try it again after a bit and we went for breakfast I ordered an omelet and I ate a few bites and low and behold a hair , yuck ruined the whole meal. My husband decided to go there again and I said okay , I ordered my meal and when I got it the top was very warm but the potatoes were cold . The people behind my husband had to send their food back and being discouraged I asked for a to go box and decided to maybe warm it up at home. We get to the car and my husband said you should have complained the people behind you did but I didn't want to say anything until we left . I probably won't go back. Hadn't visited Olean Perkins for years and was surprised at the changes - all positive - that were in store. It was great seeing the extra room open (the one used for tour groups, I guess) and my order of noodles Strogonoff was expertly prepared. My companion's salmon looked fresh and was nicely seasoned to her taste. The service by Sim was excellent - polite, interested in our order and with a great sense of humor. We look forward to future visits. read more

We visit Perkins once a month as a bus trip. Big staff change , waitress was wonderful , food was not good at all and it wasn't just one of us. Waitress tried to get us to return, but won't happen. We are sad. read more

i feel like this place is the restaurant version of a person with DID. sometimes it's decent and you can enjoy it. others, there's hair in your food, they give you the wrong bill, and they serve half of your meal while they're finishing the other part. and also, their toilet is a piece of crap but that's for another time. long story short, sometimes i wish when i went there, i was a vampire so i could go stand in their sunroom and burn myself to death. read more

We have eaten here a lot over the past 15 years and usually like how we are treated and the food is OK too. BUT - last weekend we took the grandkids out to eat after church and I ordered one of their tangled burgers (has fried onion tangles on it) and the burger was very good & so tall I could barely fit it in my mouth. BUT I started getting sick about 7 hours later and was sick the whole next day. So I think from now on I will steer clear of their burgers. I do love their eggs benedict, hash browns & muffins too. I ordered the fish fry which can with a salad and I added a cup of soup. The salad and soup can in a timely fashion. Was hardly a third of the way with it when my main dinner came. The waitress attempted to move aside the salad and soup so I took the plate and set it off to the side. She then said that I would still get another filet and it was coming shortly. The two fillets I had were under cooked, the firies were over cooked. The third fillet came with the bill and she said she was going on break and presented the bill as I was just starting my cold dinner. I was so glad to be helping her get to her break!!! read more

We just went yesterday morning especially for their Potato Pancakes which we love!! So glad they are still on the menu there !! And just love love love the syrup varieties too.
