I have been to this Perkins multiple times thinking it's got to be better than the last time but I think today was the breaking point for us. Been there enough to know to keep track of time. Got to the restaurant at 9:40, seated at 10, ordered food at 10:07, received food at 11:10, got check at 11:58, stood at register for 8 minutes before someone helped. They were not swamped by any means. This is every single time we have been. Doesn't matter if its 8am, 2pm, or 6pm. I ordered the pot roast skillet. it had no good flavor and chucks of hard stuff in it that I'm not sure as to what it was. the flavor was chemically and disgusting. We love Perkins! I especially appreciate that they are open for the holidays. I have a son the lives in Salina and we go to Perkins for breakfast on Sundays. Last year we found out that they were open on Thanksgiving, so we went. It was busy, but not bad. Food was delicious. Service was as good as could be expected for as busy as they were. This year, it was a whole different game. Loads of empty seats. People waiting inside and out in the vestibule. I tried to ask the cashier how long the wait was, but she walked away without acknowledging me. I asked some people standing inside and they said 25-45 minutes. They said they'd been told there weren't enough waitresses. Of all the days to be short staffed, today wasn't it. There is no way management didn't know how busy they'd be. And I understand finding it hard to get people to come in, but you should offer a special incentive to those that work it. Not just holiday pay, but an extra day off, to use when they want. Work them shorter shifts unless they say they'll work more. At the end of the day, these people make Perkins a great deal of money. If you treat them good, they'll do right by you. Today you didn't just fail the public. Your manager failed as a boss. Your company failed as an employer. Do better! read more

The service was absolutely terrible. Our server had no interest in treating us. The food came out pretty good but the order was wrong. When things got fixed she didn't come up to us again until she came to ask if how the food was and hand our check when we were still eating. Everything was rushed with her service. After she gave us the check we did not hear from her again. When it came to paying, they messed up the split and took 10 mins trying to find someone who could fix it. With that, she didn't even give an explanation and had to give me the difference in cash and no receip. Went here about three times every time we have gone they don't know what they are doing. A person would take our order then two more people will come to take our order so there's no one in control. Tonight we waited an hour for our food to finally arrive 7:47 got served at 9:10. An appetizer is supposed to come before the main course but it came with our dinner. There was even ketchup on the straw they handed us. The bathroom was exactly like a gas stations there was diarrhea all over the toilet and pee on the seats. There's no way I'm coming back this is such an unclean place during a Covid outbreak that's not good for anyone. There's no motivation of having hygienic goals in this place. The restaurant was very clean and well presented. There was not a big crowd so the restaurant was fairly quiet which is something I enjoy. The sweet tea tasted funny but I think it might just be the brand. I got the spinach and mushroom sizzler. It was fantastic for a healthier option. The flavor was really well put together. We also got a free slice of pie for the Monday special. It was the absolute best coconut pie I have ever eaten. I highly recommend this bakery for any sweets fans. read more

I was not at all satisfied with this place. Took a long time to take our drink order. It took a very long time for the food to come out. I ordered the turkey and dressing with a baked potato. It was delicious my husband got the chicken biscuit with gravy meal and it was so flavorful and i wanted to eat his meal I got the basic breakfast it was eggs Turkey sausage and hash brown but it was still delicious. My fiancé got "The Everything" sizzler and all we could see was potatoes and an egg absolutely no meat minus the very little bacon bit sized ham.
