What a beautiful gem right in the plains of Kansas, you find this great restaurant and really cute town of Salina, Kansas. I travel for work so I'm always checking out new spots in love trying new places. They offer outside patio and inside dining as well as bar seating. The restaurant is very clean on the outside the inside and the surrounding areas. The bathrooms were very clean. They have table cloths that are changed after each customer. The decor is welcoming and feels fancy. My server was very sweet. She was kind. She explained everything. She offered her suggestions when I asked for advice, but she did also have her own recommendations, which I appreciated. She was an attentive to my needs. She also just converse with me as a regular person which I enjoyed. It wasn't just about the menu. The food was great. I had a side salad, my main course was a fillet with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and I tried the butter cake. To drink I got the pear mule with cinnamon. No complaints whatsoever. The salad was the freshest salad. I've had in a while, and I love the fact that it was not out of a bag.. the fillet was perfect. The mashed potatoes were perfect and dessert. The butter cake was phenomenal. My short visit here in Salina Kansas has been great and I thoroughly enjoyed eating at this great restaurant in a small town.

Definitely a shiny oasis in the plains of Kansas. I was familiar with the YaYa's in the Denver Tech Center, as it was my dating hub. Marley greeted/served me with cheerful attentive energy at the busy bar area. I went for a lighter snack of the Bruschetta with the Olive Tempanade, and a side Caesar. Great mid-upscale dining in the heart of Salina.

Yaya's is a quaint Euro style woodsy-chic bar & eatery located in the downtown area. They offer hand-tossed, oak-fired pizza & other Mediterranean eats are served at this woodsy-chic bar & eatery. I had the spinach salad which is served with baby spinach, spiced walnuts, dried cranberries, gorgonzola, cranberry sage vinaigrette. It was light, yummy and refreshing. As my main, I opted for the penne carbonara which was served with roasted chicken, sweet peas, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, parmesan and black pepper garlic cream. This dish was fabulous and my absolute favorite carbonara in a long time! The restaurant is decorated nicely, it's clean and spacious and the staff was great. Will recommend this spot to my colleagues when visiting!

It was an unexpected treat to find YaYas in Salina, Kansas. The food was excellent across the board. The Mezza and the Bolognese were the clear stars of the evening, though the ravioli and shrimp risotto should not be overlooked. Service was equally impressive--Eaton was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly committed to doing a great job. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and from the moment we walked in until the time we left, every member of the staff greeted us with genuine smiles.

    Angel hair pasta with chicken

Went there as a group. They seated us pretty quick. They were not super busy. Liked the overall feel; elegant. They forgot the calamari we ordered; brought late after we reminded them. My angel hair pasta dish was good, but the beef Carpaccio was lukewarm. My folks were not impressed so much. Maybe next time we will try some other dishes.

It was an okay visit. We were seated quickly but waited a long time to meet our server. She's was decent but rough start. The food was OK. We expected more. My friend had the beet salad and it was tiny with very little greens. The waiter brought more. I had the lasagna. It was very dry, so I didn't finish it. The ambiance was clean, almost steak house vibe. I wouldn't return.

My dad and I had lunch at YaYa's when I flew into Salina. Darius was our server and he took great care of us. The bread was some of the best I've ever had. The baba ganoush was wonderful. I ordered the half salad, half sandwich. The Bill's chicken salad and C.B.S. sandwich were great. My dad is a picky eater and he loved the salmon piccata. They cooked the asparagus so well, which most places don't do. The restaurant had a charm to it. We can't wait to try other dishes there.

Had the shrimp risotto and it was amazing. I would order this again without hesitation. We were seated quickly and the food came out quickly. Had some Truffle fries as an appetizer, crispy fries are my favorite. This place is very welcoming and comfortable!

Definitely a place to go if you're near Salina. In a. quiet dining room, a white tablecloth, excellent service, outstanding food, and cocktails were a delight. The 1987 (smokey scotch on the rocks) and mushroom toast were a perfect start for a cool fall evening. The entrees were both delicious.

Now I've become something of a semi regular at the Meddy's closest to my house in the KC metro so I know what I like. It's sort of maneuvered its way into my number one spot for fast casual food and their delivery is always right, always a good portion, and in general always tasty so we get it a fair amount. When we were recently in Salina we opted for Meddys as a semi healthy option with my in laws since we knew we all liked it and we hadn't checked out this newer location in central KS. First thing to note, it's spacious and beautiful inside just like all other locations I've been to. The decor is lovely and this one boasts a nice patio, which we took advantage of on a rare nice August afternoon. As usual, we all enjoyed our food, and I was especially impressed as this location was offering kids eat free for dine in on Sunday. I'm not sure if all locations do this, but it was a nice surprise since we had two kids in tow. It was busy but we got in and out in a reasonable amount of time and enjoyed our meal. I'd recommend to anyone looking for something a bit healthier in Salina.

The ambiance is very serene and calm; I like the tree in the middle of the seating area. There is also an outside patio with a tv. There are tvs inside as well but it doesn't give sports bar vibes. We were cold from the rain so soup it was for us and it was delicious! Fresh ingredients that warmed the soul. I really enjoyed our meal and recommend stoping here for lunch.

The mirrors and windows were dirty, and my booth had crayons, hair, and crumbs both in the seat crack and on the floor. There was also gum stuck underneath the table. As I waited, I watched an employee cleaning nearby tables. They wiped the tabletop and even cleaned the floor, but they completely neglected to clean the booth seats. I also saw another employee wipe down the half wall next to the booths without using any cleaning spray--they simply rubbed it with a towel. Watching those cleaning practices made me even more concerned about the restaurant's overall cleanliness. The menu was very large with lots of items to choose from, but there were no daily specials or featured menu items, which was a little disappointing. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries and mozzarella sticks. The burger was very disappointing. The beef had almost no flavor except for the crusty outside, the mushrooms were raw and didn't seem fresh, and the tomatoes tasted old. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they came straight from the frozen food aisle, and when I broke one open, water poured out, which was very unappetizing. On top of that, the wait for my food was much longer than expected. Overall, the cleanliness, food quality, and long wait made for a very disappointing dining experience. Based on what I experienced and observed, I don't plan to return unless these issues are addressed. (When I tried to address these concerns in person, I was greeted by a woman who identified herself as "one of the managers," which suggests there are multiple managers responsible for the restaurant at the same time? Which was weird. Makes me wonder how the kitchen staff is set up. Is there a head chef and does everyone communicate to each other? I shared my concerns respectfully, but what was even more disappointing was discovering that many of the same issues I experienced today have been mentioned repeatedly in customer reviews going back as far as six months. In many of those responses, management assured customers the problems would be addressed, yet I observed many of the same issues firsthand. That gives the impression that these concerns are acknowledged publicly but not consistently corrected.)

A server took my order so I waited an hour for my dinner and everyone else had finished eating before mine everyone arrived. Will was our server and was overwhelmed but between Will and Manager Emma made it right for me and I was satisfied with the recovery of the errors. Things happen and just have patience with the staff if possible. I was starving so I was wanting to be upset but breathe and let them do what they do. I appreciated them for making it a good experience instead of leaving and give terrible reviews or bad tips. That's a no no. Just speak to them. I went 5 star because of the effort given once a problem occurred.
