I met Colleen 5 years ago when she did an amazing job on my eyeliner and eyebrows. I was very happy with her work, she is a true artist. During Covid I lost track of Colleen. So when I saw that she found a new home at Luxx Salon Suites in Gilbert I immediately booked my appointment for a touch-up. My color had faded to a charcoal grey color as seen in the top picture. We decided to add a pop of color to update my look and make everything match my hair and coloring. In the bottom picture you can see the finished look but the camera does not do it justice. I was referred to Colleen to correct a microblading job I had a couple years previous. I went to have my eyebrows redone by a more experienced person who then pointed out what was done incorrectly and would need to be corrected before she could proceed and that is when I was referred to Colleen. I had my first visit and it didn't take me long to notice the difference in skill set! I had my first appt and the very next day I could already see how much better my brows looked!! I just had my follow up and am currently healing. I felt like I could trust that she knew her stuff after she pointed out things that I did not see as to why my brows were not what I wanted. Amazing art work on your face!!! She takes the time to get it right and is very professional. I was never nervous about getting my eyeliner or eyebrows done. I had seen many botched procedures that I was concerned at first but she did amazingly well and you can't even tell it is permanent as she makes it very realistic. As someone who has had my eyebrows done by three different people I feel qualified to say that Colleen is everything one could ever want in a permanent makeup artist. Colleen is an actual artist (like for real for real artist - if you're lucky she will show you some of her work. Amazing!), and isn't that what all of us are looking for? Her eye for symmetry is unparalleled. My eyes are not symmetrical and the two ladies I had do my eyebrows previously did them exactly the way I did them so I looked perplexed. All. The. Time. Just when I had given up hope, I found Colleen's website. I left a message and she promptly returned my call. She answered every single question I had and we made an appointment for the following weekend. Colleen's studio is warm and inviting, just like she is. She listened to my concerns regarding symmetry and color (my previous brows had faded to a nice shade of orange), and then penciled them on in such a way that they looked better than they ever had before. Colleen asked how I felt about the shape being a little different and made sure I was happy before proceeding. While working, Colleen made me feel totally at ease and she was very in tune with my comfort level the whole time. She corrected my brows at no additional cost and they are perfectly symmetrical. The color actually matches my hair (imagine that!?) and I get complimented on them quite often. I've had her touch them up once in almost two years and that was only because the skin products I started using made my eyebrows fade. I recommend her to any and everyone who asks and, quite frankly, to some who don't. There is no reason for anyone to have bad eyebrows as long as Colleen is in business. Granted, she is not the cheapest out there but for the quality of work she does I feel she could charge a lot more and it would still be a good value (but don't, okay Colleen?). When I was a kid, I had a nervous habit of pulling my eyebrows n lashes with my fingers... Suffice it to say, eyebrows n eyelashes dont grow back as easily as the hair on your head! Having to draw in my eyebrows was tedious... So I decided to try permanent makeup... The first artist was not so great... She did not know how to draw at all... So then I went to Colleen in 2007... And I have been going to her ever since... I've had one touchup in 2011 and I'm gonna see her again this year 2015... It's true... She is tough to get a hold of but I swear to u... So I was looking into getting permanent makeup done for my eyebrows. I went over many websites and i was convinced Colleen would do great work just based off her website. She seemed young, artistic, and had great feedback, so i booked an appointment. She responded immediately to schedule an appointment. When I met her, I felt really good on my decision. She was nice, helpful and educated me on the process. She shaped my eyebrows and made sure I approved before she got started. She did shape my eyebrows very well. However, after I paid $340, Colleen advised the price included a touch up because the healing will cause gaps from the scabbing. Colleen made it seem like it will be no problem to schedule a touch up. Well, after healing I asked her if I can schedule a touch up because my brows still had a few gaps and she made one longer than the other. She completely ignored me. I texted her a few times and she wouldn't respond. At the time I was busy with work so I couldn't go to her shop and I live far from her salon. I gave up trying. I was really disappointed!!! She made a good impression but i guess she only cares about her clients on her first visit. I thought she was this young ambitious person who was trying her best to keep business going but instead it seems like she just takes your money and does a half a** job. Oh well, it was a lesson learned and karma will get back at her. I recommend to not get work by her. Better yet, i regret getting my eyebrows done. read more

I won't recommend her because she has made me look like a raccoon! I spent 5 hours having my eyebrows and both upper and lower eye liner done. I am a blonde which is the main reason for wanting my brows done. They are way too dark! My eyeliner is very dark and wide. I text Colleen and she told me to come back in and she would use a blending process to fix them. We set up the appointment and when I got there she told me she couldn't do it that day because not enough time had gone by. It wouldn't have mattered so much, but I live an hour away. We set up another appointment for the following week. She then told me that most permanent makeup artists will not do the blending process because they don't know what they are doing. She assured me that she did know exactly what she was doing. After 3 hours of extreme pain, I looked in the mirror. My eyes were very swollen, but it did look a little better. She assured me that the color would lighten up after the swelling went down and to give it time. I woke up the next morning with watery, red eyes. The next morning I woke up with my eyes stuck shut!! I was really scared!!!!!!!!!! My eyes were totally bloodshot to the extreme! I text Colleen to let her know what was happening to me. She said that it wasn't caused from the blending process and that I must have gotten an infection from some where else or I was allergic to something. She told me to stop using the vaseline that she had given me. I told her that the only thing that I was going to put in my eyes was sterile water. I tried calling her to let her know that my eyes are still screwed up, but she doesn't answer her telephone. WHAT am I supposed to do now, live with my mistake of trusting her. I had even did my homework of thoroughly checking her out before I went to her. I actually saw and talked to a couple of people that she worked on.
