As a newbie to any permanent makeup and a tattoo, microblading virgin, I was understandably nervous . There was timely communication from first contact to appointment to confirmation. I knew exactly what to expect with masking and sanitation protocols for our safety throughout. Jane calmed my anxiety by explaining the entire process and each step as she artfully, safely, patiently and with the expertise of a professional in her craft since 1994, executed gorgeous, natural looking brows for me. She started like a Dr with medical history paperwork, taking my whole of humanity into consideration prior to getting into the meat and potatoes of the procedure which I appreciated! Jane assessed my face/canvas and drew what she believed would be beautiful for my structure and let me see for agreement. We proceeded to the microblading process and I feel it couldn't have gone better with knowing which parts would be painful vs rest breaks and the tlc I felt from Jane considering all my allergies and well being. Christina is super sweet, professional, and easy to work with. She was attentive during my service, making sure to do frequent checks to gauge my comfort. I can see this being helpful for someone getting a first tattoo because she doesn't want a client white-knuckling it through pain or discomfort. Fortunately, the location of my tattoos and Christina's technique kept me very comfortable the whole time. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable about her craft and loved that she shared education with me throughout our time. Obviously, a hand tattoo carries a risk of fading quickly, which she was transparent about. That knowledge and honesty are qualities that make me trust my artist. When we initially discussed pricing for my piece, I had a brief moment of sticker shock. However, I want to emphasize that I found her pricing extremely fair considering the quality. You can see in my photos just how delicate her lines are compared to the lines in my other work. When making permanent alterations to your body, you don't want the cheapest option available. I had a consult with her where we looked over lip blush photos I liked & she took her time selecting & mixing a color combo we thought would compliment me. The process took a little over 2 hours. It was fairly painless and the healing process was easier & shorter than the time it took for my eyebrows to heal. There was a bit of peeling the second day but other than that I just kept my lips moisturized. The intensity of the color decreased a tiny bit after the second day. It's been a month now & I am still happy with my results. It's a subtle natural tint & I just feel like I look better with no makeup now that I have the permanent tattooing.
