I called the service department to get my 22 4Runner serviced. They gave me a 7am appointment. I drove from Carlsbad to the dealership and arrived at 645am. Nobody at the dealership. Someone finally got to the dealership and I asked them where the service was. I was informed that it is at Permian Ford across town. Went to Permian ford and got there about 815am and was told they would try and work me in. Two questions? How in the world would I know I needed to go to Ford when I called the Toyota dealership? Why didn't they call and ask if I was going to make it? They took my phone number down! How about saying on your website that the service department is at Permian Ford. I will not be back! read more

I recently got a new car from Permian Toyota, i absolutly love the car but i have had nothing but problems with the dealership! First off i had to give them the same info 3 times for what reason i dont know. Second it took them 2 1/2 months to pay my old car off which dropped my credit score because they let me get 3 payments behind. Then i am currently about to be on my 3rd temporary plate. When i called to ask about my plates they said they are still not in and they can not give me another temporary that i will just have to wait! I guess they think I should just take the chance of getting a ticket for having an expired plate or not drive at all. I would have much rather kept my old car if i would have known all this! Its been a hassle and inconvience! I will never get another vehicle from permian toyota!!! read more

We bought a used GMC Terrain from Permian Toyota never again. After completing the purchase, we drove 40 miles and the check engine light came on. No problem said the salesman. Bring it back in and we will put it in the shop for repair. I returned the next day at the time stated by salesman. Lo and behold he did not show and when I pushed for help another salesman set up a meeting with the sales manager to get things rectified. Walked into the manager's office and then had to stand in front of his desk with him not even acknowledging my presence for at least 5 minutes. Now that he had my attention he stated that he would send some one over( I live in Texas, 40 miles away) and drop off a loaner car and pick up the Terrain for repairs. NEVER happened. No phone calls, emails, etc from them and NO ONE answered any of my phone calls or messages. The dealership looks great but the business culture of their operations is killing them. They care not about their customers once the papers are signed. I will be visiting the Hobbs BBB in the very near future as a start. read more

08/20/14 False Advertisement, they posted a 2012 Toyota Tundra on Autotrader, I inquired about the vehicle, went through the application process, was approved, then told me after all this that was an inaccurate price because they where hacked, but for several days continued to inaccurately post the add, the used car salesmen name is Johnathan. Dishonest sales tactics and frankly a scam. Update 08/27/14 They still have that same Tundra posted for the same price that Johnathan said was incorrectly hacked, this is now a total of 2 weeks that I know of that they have not corrected the error. I was very pleased with the saleswoman who I worked with to buy my 4Runner. She works for Permian Ford and happened to be at Toyota for a promotion sale they were having. But now it has been 16 days since I bought the vehicle and they still have not paid off my previous vehicle. This has caused me to have to make a payment on a vehicle that is not even in my possession. I'm aware that I will be reimbursed by my bank for the payment, but it shouldn't take more then 10 days for a dealership to payoff a vehicle (that's why they ask for a TEN day payoff quote). I worked at a bank for 7 years dealing with people's personal loans and it NEVER took more then 3-5 business days to have someone's vehicle paid off. I tried multiple times to call, I left voice mails that went unanswered. When I finally was able to get someone on the line he said he would look into the problem and call me back. I never received that call. So I went into the dealership to try to get to the bottom of this, and the "manager" I spoke with told me the person who does payoffs was out for the day, and to call in the morning. So I did, and I continued to get voice-mail. Later that afternoon, I received a phone call stating they have not been able to finish the deal because they needed proof of address from me. Why did it take TWO WEEKS to ask me for proof of address!?!?! If I had to guess I'd say the paperwork was set aside, and forgotten about until I called them. Nobody at the dealership seems to have any clue what they're doing and seem extremely unorganized. I also asked them why I have not received any information about my new loan, and the "manager" hands me a piece of paper with the banks name and number and says "you need to call them to find out", turned in his chair and that was all the help he was willing to give me. If you're planning to buy a Toyota in the Hobbs, NM area I would high recommend you go to a Lubbock TX, Odessa/Midland TX, or Roswell, NM location. read more

I just purchased a pre owned Jeep from Angel Cantu at Permian Toyota. I was treated with complete courtesy and respect by everyone at the the dealership. I had arranged for financing with a 3rd party lender prior to my visit to the dealership and expected to use it once I arrived; however, when Jacob the sales manager saw the rate & terms I was getting from my lender he asked if he could try for a better rate for me. I said sure, but didn't think that he could because my rate was very low. He went to his office, called his preferred lender and within 5 minutes came back to me with a loan that was a full point lower that what I had arranged. I didn't expect to have things work so well when buying a car. I am very, very pleased with my experience at Permian Toyota and will recommend the to my friends and family. I am a very "Prior & Proper Preparation" type of person, so you can immagine how pleased I am to have been surprised by the professionalism displayed by this group of folks.
