I really appreciated her knack for using simple language and examples to help me understand everything. This put me at ease immediately and was very helpful. Additionally, Katrina was very prompt and personable. Even though I contacted her during the holidays, she got back to me right away and kept me updated on her progress the whole time. She has a warm, professional manner and is incredibly hardworking. I heartily recommend Katrina and look forward to working with her again.

So the EFF has a list of attorneys, and I kid you not I wrote an email to every single one of them. Katrina (P.O.V legal services) was one of the first to actually reply back to my email. After receiving replies back from most of the attorneys I decided it would be best if Katrina represented me. Once we met she informed me exactly what was going on and the different options I could take, which gave me a sense of relief. From there on she was extremely helpful, if I ever had a question I would shoot her an email and she would reply and answer back pretty fast. She worked with me around my busy work schedule as well. To summarize I can say that I am very pleased with my experience with POV(Katrina). So if you were like me a few months ago frantically looking for an attorney for matters like this, go with POV!

I am thoroughly disgusted with Attorney Chi Nguyen's lack of professionalism and communication…read more I found her through Yelp in July 2025 with glowing reviews. After a July 4th consultation, I hired her to handle my parenting plan matter (not my protection order, though she gave advice on that too). What followed was one of the worst professional experiences I've ever had. Here are the main issues: Never in court - She never once appeared in person, only via Zoom. We paid her the same as anyone else, yet she didn't show up physically. Unprofessional appearance - On Zoom, she dressed in casual T-shirts, not courtroom-appropriate attire. Paralegal overseas - The paralegal assigned to our case (Bernard) was working permanently out of the country. This made direct communication about our case nearly impossible. Bad legal advice & dishonesty - She advised my child to drop a protection order to "help" with a 50/50 parenting plan, then denied ever giving that advice in court. This damaged our case. Unprepared in court - Judges were visibly frustrated with her lack of preparation and awareness of required next steps. Communication failures - She ignored the client portal (where we receive notifications) and instead sent critical updates by regular email, which caused us to miss deadlines and hearings. Documents were submitted incorrectly and late, resulting in continuances, sanctions, and extra costs we had to pay ($700). Recent failure - For a GAL hearing, financial documents we sent in late August were submitted at the last minute. She failed to consult us on which GAL we preferred, leaving us blindsided in court. We left court feeling defeated every single time. Yesterday's hearing was the final straw--we fired her immediately. Hiring an attorney is stressful enough; you need someone professional, prepared, and communicative. Chi Nguyen was none of these. Do not hire her. I only gave 1 star because Yelp wouldn't let me submit my review without doing it.

Out of 100 lawyers, I was able to retain her, and she was knowledgeable and showed genuine concern,…read moreand we haven't even started our partnership.

I called Michelle for advice on a family law matter involving my ex husband (who has a Domestic…read moreViolence finding and a CPS finding of abuse and neglect). His coercive control, child abuse, and frequent allegations of contempt of the visitation order were just a few of the many ways my ex husband continued his DV behaviors toward our young children and me after I divorced him. I rationalized: I am a teacher, I am educated, I don't react, and I was certain I could reduce his damage and control over our lives by establishing firm boundaries, "low -contact" and using the law- all on my own. Nope, I was wrong. You know the saying, "It takes two people to argue"? Well, these rules don't apply in DV cases. One person can keep an argument going without your engagement at all. It's called, "Mental Flooding." It takes cooperation from BOTH people to stop conflict. By the third contempt hearing in less than a year, I was mentally exhausted from the gas-lighting and professionally harmed by his repeated smears and character assassinations in court hearings that his attorney wrote into court orders, and sent to my school. I was let down by the law. My children were scared, running away from him, and slipping behind in school. I was ready to give up asking the court for relief because I wasn't getting any, and just focus on helping my children cope and strengthen their resiliency and self-advocacy skills. Michelle and I first met over the phone. I explained the issues, and she said it might be risky to file an appeal, but the alternative to filing was that my ex could show cause to take custody of the children if I did nothing. This was the 9th day out of the 10 days you have to appeal an order. I told her I was almost ready to give up, unless she could give me a reason not to. She asked me how many children I have. (I have three). She told me they were the three most important reasons why I had to decide not to give up. She advised I let her file a motion on Monday, and take the next day to think about it- no pressure. It was Friday, and I told her the last day to appeal the order was the next business day, Monday, but she looked up my case and already knew that before we spoke. Her preparation prior to our phone call impressed me. I was organized and able to send her all my documents by Sunday night. She worked on my case early Monday morning and filed my Motion for Revision by the deadline that same afternoon. It felt amazing to have her representation. I finally felt safe and protected from my ex's abusive use of litigation for the first time in three years. She confidently took my case and successfully proved that I had not denied my ex visitation, but in fact, my ex was dishonest and not a credible reporter. He did not show up to pick up kids on most days, left them alone at school-after school, cancelled more visits than he actually used over the previous year, and harassed our children's teachers in the process of setting me up to appear as though he was being denied visitation. Michelle organized the evidence, and presented a very strong appeal to the judge. She proved I consistently followed all orders. I finally got the relief I deserved after Michelle Dellino and Dylana Jones successfully got my Order on Revision granted. I highly recommend her for any family law matter, but especially Domestic Violence cases. ALL DV divorces are very complicated and unsafe. DV is different from "high conflict" cases. In High-Conflict cases, one or both parties are unable or unwilling to agree, collaborate and let go, but don't abuse the other. DV includes coercive control, exerting power over the other, physical, emotional, and financial abuse, harm to children and their protective parent... ongoing...even after DV treatment is completed. It is not appropriate for self-representation. Like many others, I represented myself because my ex controlled our finances. I had no access to my own income for an attorney. I believe if I hired Michelle the day after my ex assaulted my son with a baby gate, she would have immediately secured protection orders and then a final parenting plan that would have prevented ongoing problems we still have. My hindsight is 20/20, but Michelle's legal foresight/precognition is 20/20.

The attorney said they would not be able to take my case and needed to hand off to a colleague. I asked to meet with that colleague and of course pay the form for that time included in the meeting to make the decision to sign on with the firm. They would not allow me to meet with this attorney that was going to represent me. It seemed odd and I wasn't comfortable signing on without speaking with that attorney first.
