I had a brand new nurse, Harley who took care of me on night shift and she did a great job. I think she is going to make an excellent nurse as she goes along. thank you to all my nurses for doing such good work and special thanks to Jenn for excellent technique with IV's.

Everyone here is super-nice and respectful. 2. My privacy has been respected. I mean, they keep the door shut when you're buck naked in bed, or having a procedure performed. 3. Everyone is genuinely interested in helping you recover your health so you can get back to your life. Cons: 1. Sometimes when you use the call button to summon some help, they might forget about you. (I'll grant that you might be trying to reach someone when it's super-busy, but this happens more often than I'd like to see. Surely there's a solution to this problem.) 2. The menu is BORING! There are only so many days a person can eat overcooked scrambled eggs and tough turkey sausage. Thankfully, you have a little wiggle room if you can get hold of their "Menu at a Glance" which has a few different options you can request by calling down to the dietary office. 3. I use CPAP therapy, but I was only allowed to use a hospital-approved machine. A very loud hospital-approved machine with a very ill-fitting face mask. I mean, it got the job done, and I didn't suffocate in my sleep, but... That's all I can say about that. All in all, it's been a good stay, if you can forget you're in a hospital. I realize that everyone's experience with TriStar Horizon may differ. We've all heard the horror stories about different facilities. As for my experience, it's been pretty good, no horror stories and only a few minor inconveniences. No major complaints. I'm happy I chose to be treated here. And I recommend them.

She had surgery on her ankle and has been in so far for 8 days. She cannot put any weight on it and will be in the hospital for about another 4 weeks. I do want to point out and highlight one employee especially who has gone way above and beyond in working with our family and that would be Tena one of the Social Workers. She is very friendly and goes out of her way to help any way she can. She has been working with us and following every lead and suggestion to try and help with the rehabilitation needed for my mother-in-law. She thinks outside the box and does not quit or give up. She is the best and I say kudos. The hospital is extremely fortunate to have an employee like Tena on staff. Thank you!

In the Emergency Department, my first hospitalist was in over his head on my complex cardiology/EP case. He repeatedly attempted to administer and adjust medications in ways that affected my cardiac safety and required pushback. He then became defensive and suggested he and his staff would intentionally provide lower-quality care if questioned or criticized. He was ultimately fired from my case and replaced with another hospitalist who provided much better care. That said, the nursing staff here on C7 is excellent, and I cannot recommend the nursing care team enough!

A review written in haste, or in anger, for example, won't be helpful to the patient who trusts it, and could even be harmful. I have been to this hospital several times from the mid 90s (excruciating and unstoppable headaches) through the mid 2000s (gallbladder removal, unstoppable headaches, mammogram, blood work, hiatal hernia surgery). For the most part, everything went off without a hitch. In a nutshell, I can say I have always been treated successfully, politely and attentively. I can not say that all my combined experiences were without issues. My gallbladder removal surgery in 2005 went fine. My recovery was not the simple 'out-patient' experience. I went in on a Thursday and came out Sunday evening. I could not get over the sickness from the anesthesia. That wasn't the hospital's fault, but my body's inability to overcome quickly. While recovering from that surgery, a nurse in training and her supervisor came to give me a shot for pain. She rolled me onto my side and I was prepared to fill it stick my butt. She did not. She, instead, gave it to me on the side of my leg, hitting a nerve over the side hip bone. I spent almost a year in physical rehab to regain the ability to walk properly. I was subjected to endurring a 'nerve damage test', that involved having a needle inserted under my skin and electrical pulses sent through it. The needles weren't inserted locally to my damaged area, but a variety of places from top to bottom, front to back, of BOTH legs. That was torture. According to numbers you find online, the 'readmit' (readmission within 30 days) for coronary, pneumonia, and heart attack is on average 25%. Put that into perspective, Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tn averages 19%. They have several events throughout the year that benefit the community. They also host the Winter Wonderland in December to help collect donated food items for Amen Food Pantry. http://www.yelp.com/biz/winter-wonderland-2014-corinth This hospital has grown and expanded tremendously since 1969. It has diversified into heart health and coronary surgery. A brief list of the hospital's services are Behavioral Health, Cancer Center, Critical Care,Food & Nutrition,Emergency Medical Services, Home Health & Hospice, Heart & Vascular Center, Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Heart Valve Clinic, Laboratory Services, MRHC Clinics, Pediatrics, Orthopedic Center, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Care, Sleep Lab, Surgical Services, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Women's Health, Wound & Hyperbaric Center.
