There are usually many people at the park when the weather is nice. There also are many dogs, some of whom enjoy a dip in the water. Outside of the walking trail, there are tennis courts, basketball courts and soccer fields. There also is a field house.

The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. This is a lovely and quiet walk, with a few look-out balconies and a nice bridge. You can park at bridge park or the parking lot provided and enter the trail from there. We love this nature walk!

But once you start heading onto the path, you discover that there is more to this place than you see from the parking lot. If you want to get right next to some small waterfalls, like touch them with your fingers, this is the place to visit. The waterfalls are smaller, but I liked that we could get up close to the water and experience it in a tactile way. Being right up in the water's business allowed for some really great photos, too -- the waterfall area is a great place to take photos. The hike through Indiana Run Falls is very easy, but there are some areas that require walking up and down steps, so it might not be the easiest hike for someone in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller. Otherwise, this is a great place to visit, and it's a good hike for kids because it's very short and sweet.

There is a basketball court, a play area for smaller kids, a larger play area with slides and climbing features, a set of traditional and toddler swings, and a neat little slide that meets up with a nice seating area with benches. There's a very nice water fountain that includes a bottle filling station. An interesting curiosity is a large stone-looking artificial ball near the playground. It appears to be some sort of climbing structure, and it was quite interesting to the kids to check out. It's a nice playground stop.

This is a beautiful park that has a very large grassy area, a shelter house with a few picnic tables and bathrooms. There are a few tennis courts, a nice section with old large trees that provide wonderful shade in the summer months. There is a nice play ground with slides, swings for the little ones and a few larger sets that the older ones can climb all over. The city keeps this park looking very nice. We love coming here and spending a few hours here every week.

Which is perfect, as when the train goes by, we run up as close as we can to watch it go by. It has a baseball diamond and a nice soccer field - so plenty of space to run around, and a nice wooded area that you can hide in for shade. The swings are also the "toddler/infant" swings, which my eldest is getting a little big for, but he can climb on top of every piece of equipment there as it is.

Nearby is a solar picnic pavilion that generates solar power and offers great shade and picnic tables to take a break from all of the fun. There's a large pond near the parking lot, a memorial located behind the municipal buildings and police department, and winding paved paths that take you around to all of the sights and sounds of the park. The parking lot is good sized and offers some EV charging stations.
