I'm really at a loss to describe a very recent experience I had with this shop...but here goes. I ordered a Heritage 22lr Rough Rider for a plink around gun for my son. When I went to pick it up from my FFL the Fedex box and the Heritage box within the Fedex box were both in perfect condition. I opened the box and the gun was pretty beat up. Several deep nicks along the top of the frame, exposed metal on just about every sharp edge and some paint damage on the sides of the frame and cylinder. I realize these are not high dollar guns, but that is no excuse to accept damaged goods. Perrys offered to have the gun sent back and refurbed by Heritage at no charge with a two to three week turnaround (my guess it would be much longer given current environment). They would not take it back and give me a full refund saying that warranty work had to go through the manufacturer and that was what the manufacturer wanted to do. They cited their no refund policy...blah, blah, blah. I could understand that if it was damaged in shipment, damaged by me or something other than coming from the factory damaged, which Heritage acknowledged in writing that they have had some issues with packaging (a whole other story). Today I get an email saying I will get a refund of $44.00 (total of original purchase was $144.36) since my FFL wants it out of his shop and he called and got a label to send it back. So...to sum it all up...$144 dollar purchase from Perry's that shows up damaged, they and Heritage admit it was damaged from the beginning but neither will step up and replace it with what I paid them for, which was a NIB, factory fresh gun. Not a refurbed gun after waiting who knows how long, even with a $35 discount offered by Perrys. Pretty poor customer service on both parts given all the facts...and there is no "other" story or exaggeration with this. Really hard to believe given all the good things I've seen and heard about them. Be careful. read more

Since I was a teen I have bought a lot of products from this store. From rifles, shotguns, and handguns to safes for them all...they have it. You may even find some hard to locate items. Their ammo selection is unsurpassed as is their selection of suppressors. read more

i've been to the shop 2 times and on the phone with them 3 times. its a busy store with a large variety. "most" of the workers are nice and friendly, but my last visit was soured by the manager or owner. (blonde hair, white female) shes a bitch and made me never want to go back. im a new gun owner, and had a question. the interaction made me uncomfortable, and made me feel like an idiot and liar. i can only imagine how the employees deal with her. prices are a bit high, but cant blame it during these times. read more

I bought a Glock 42 from Perry's Gun Shop on 08/31/2015. The gun was fine the first day I brought it home and I shot 24 Winchester hollow point rounds through it. I didn't want to target practice using those. So the second time I fired it, I bought and used 100 full metal jacket Winchester rounds. The gun started to have feed and ejection problems immediately when using these rounds. Once I went through all of those, I bought another box of Winchester rounds and the same thing kept happening every single time I fired it. I went onto Glock's website and discovered that there is a manufacturing defect with the Glock 42. I wasn't upset about this because problems occur with anything that is mass produced. On 09/08/2015, I went back up to the store to let them know I had an issue. They immediately began to tell me that my problem was limp wristing before examining or firing the gun. I even told them the type of ammo I had used and that it had 224 rounds put through it. Instead of listening to my problem for details, they were not listening to me at all. They acted as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I was given 2 options which both charged me more money. Option 1 was to have a unlicensed gunsmith look at it and then be charged to fix it. Option 2 was to be charged $50 to send it back to Glock. I was also told that Glocks were great guns and that Glocks don't have problems like this. I left the gun there for the gunsmith to check over the gun to see what could be done. I ignored their attitudes and belittling when I dropped it off because all I wanted was for my gun to be fixed. In less than 20 minutes, I was again told that the problem was limp wristing and that the gunsmith saw no problem with it. I drove right back to the store and picked up my Glock.They were rude, demeaning, and insulting toward me both times I went in there. I didn't make a scene nor was I rude to anybody in that store the both times I went in there. I spent $489.00 in that store on 08/31/2015 for the gun, grip extension, and 100 Winchester hollow point rounds. I will never set foot in that store again. All I wanted was for them to make it right by sending it back to Glock or fixing it without charging me since I had only had the gun 9 days.This has got to be the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Also, I was just in there the day before around 11:00 to look at a IWI 9mm for $629. I was wanting to go back up there later this week to purchase it but I don't see that happening now. read more

Excellent selection of ammo, maybe the best I've seen in the triangle area lately. Good selection of all type of guns today. I've purchased things here for several years and would have given 5 stars if the staff was not so rude. The staff here are the most arrogant, smart assed sales people anywhere I shop. If Barry is available, deal with him, he is the owner, and seems to appreciate your business. I am not sure I will go back for a while after the way we were treated today. We asked the old lady that is always at the cash register a question, she snapped that we needed to ask the man over behind the counter, got no better response from him either, he was more rude the the lady. They were busy but still had several sales people just standing there doing nothing. Went in the the intent of purchasing a couple of cases of ammo and a AR-15 but Fuquay Gun and Gold here we come to spend our 1500.00 or more. read more
