I dislike giving these types of reviews, but I was a loyal customer for many years. I gave them pants that were too long and I started to cut and hem the pants myself but then realized I needed to get them hemmed professionally. I brought the material that I cut off along with the pants I paid $100 for the pants and they charged me $50.00, which was fine for the ask because I wanted them to reattach the cut portion and then hem the attached portion of the pants. I gave them two weeks for the job. I came in and they never attached the cut piece to the pants and swore up and down that I never requested them to do that. They simply hemmed the pants. When I brought this to their attention they swore up and down that I only requested to hem the pants. If this were the case why would they have in their hands the piece of the pant that I cut off??? I thought don't argue with crazy and just left. read more

I have been using the tannersville location for over 10 years now for my business suits, blouses, and assorted dry cleaning. They have great prices, the regular service time is pretty quick, and I've always been very pleased with the quality. I love that they provide a pre-pay discount. If you need anything spot checked for stains, they have little tags they'll pin on where you point out the spots. Same if you need anything sewn up or buttons replaced. Point it out, they tag it and take care of it. Really nice staff, who always have a smile and a quip when I come in. read more

The reason I am writing this review is because the clerk cursed me out today at the Tannersville location simply because I wanted to know why my item was not completely pressed as she said was a part of the reason why I was being charged 31.00 for press only. She said it took her over an hour to press it. I was surprised by her answer. Then how come only part of it was pressed? Then she accused me of bitching. She said, and I quote "I don't want to hear your bitching." I don't want to hear your shit." "Get out of my store." It is not her store. She is not the owner. I was speaking to her calmly, conjugating my verbs, and using proper English, respectively asking her questions regarding the service I had paid for. I have had problems with this cleaner, and have not asked them recently to clean any of my white or light clothes since the summer when I took a two-piece white suit to them for dry cleaning and they gave it back to me grey and not white. The owner's response was a blank look. Like I did something wrong. The second event was my red Apostle robe was returned to me pressed but not dry cleaned because they promised it was ready for an early pick-up. The robe collar was still soiled and the pin that I had placed on the collar to mark it for recognition as the place to make sure it was to be cleaned, got overlooked, bagged, and returned to me the same way I sent it to them. But I did not sue the cleaners, or bring in my receipt to be reimbursed for what I paid for it to be cleaned. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. But when I question the reason for the charge of 31.00 for press only, you don't have the right to dismiss me and curse me out and tell me that I'm bitching. My advice to anyone out there, If you can find another cleaner, please do. Save yourself the aggravation. It is not worth it. read more

In August of 2023 I brought in a custom made bedspread to be dry cleaned. It was washed. The liner fabric and top fabric shrunk at different rates and so it didn't lay flat any longer. The sage color also faded to gray. The owner, Steven Chung, said he would wash the shams and decorative pillow cases so they also faded. I told him I would have my seamstress make another and he could pay for it. He said he would have his seamstress make it. I gave him my bedspread to give to her, the fabric manufacturers name and fabric names, yardage needed and repeats. I told him it took a long time to get the fabric so they should order it right away. When I went back in to the store to ask about it, he told me they were working on it and that he "thought" she had ordered the fabric. Everytime I questioned the progress he would say we're working on it. After 6 months of no progress I filed a small claims and a judgement was placed against him. He still hasn't paid. I took the bedspread to a new dry cleaner and she was the seamstress he used. She told me that he was supposed to order the fabric. read more

The only reason this place gets two stars, is thanks to Michelle in the broadheadsville location and Maddie in the tannersville location. I first took the things I needed dry cleaned to brodheadsville, where I asked Michelle if they could be done by the following day, she actually said no but she could call the location in tannersville to see if they could get it done by the following day. Steve answered in the affirmative so I drove about 30 minutes out of the way to drop them off at the tannersville location. When dropping them off in Tanner's real, Steve assured me that they would be ready by 11:00 or 12:00. Today, when I arrived Maddie couldn't find them so she called Steve. Apparently, Maddie and Steve had a conversation after which Maddie gave her phone to me to let me speak to Steve. Steve seemed unbothered by the fact that my clothing was not ready and said that he had forgotten to put a rush order on it. Even though as I was leaving the building yesterday, I asked for assurance that they would be done by Thursday. Steve replied "yes at least by noon". I thought by now it would be common business practice to not promise something that you cannot deliver on. Now on to Maddie, as I left today, without my suits, Maddie called me. She said that she had made a few calls and got the person who ran the machinery to come in and then I could pick up my suits today at around 4:00 4:30. So once again thank you Michelle and Maddie for going out of your way to try and help a customer. At least someone in this business knows about customer retention! read more

If I could give these goons 0 stars, I would. I submitted a black suit for dry cleaning service. I happily received the dry cleaned suit within days only to find out that I had been given someone else's jacket. The fabric didn't even match my pants. It was OBVIOUS that the jacket belonged to someone else. After a month of "looking for the jacket," business with Personal Touch forced me to buy a new suit. To this day, they still have not found my jacket. I called numerous times throughout the month, and I was always told that I would receive a call as they were searching for the jacket. Guess what? They never called. I asked for reimbursement of the purchase price of the jacket, and Mike only stated that he would have to talk to the "owner" who is NEVER ACCESSIBLE. For your sanity, find a better dry cleaner who will be honest with you. Good luck. read more

Count/inspect the items you are receiving back, count your change and be careful with items of value. I am pretty understanding and generally give people the "benefit of the doubt" but I no longer trust them and have heard similar stories. First incident they insisted I picked up two brand new (and pretty expensive) items without bringing in the receipt... yes, I do that sometimes but in this case they either helped themselves to it or gave it to the wrong person. I took note but did nothing. We recently had to return to insist that a unique/expensive item was not included with our order. Following several minutes of us describing the item, posturing and acting, the article was magically produced from the back. Now all the times I got the wrong change back come to mind and although this post won't recover the cost of my previously lost items, I find satisfaction in the thought that they may still have to pay for them via the stain on their reputation.
