I just (5:30 same day) got a message that I made an appointment at a location that is closed until 1/24. So we can chalk this exasperating experience up to H&R Block which enabled and encouraged me to make an appointment at a closed location (they couldn't have put a sign on the door?), then subjected me to the horrors of their automated telephone system, which eventually told me no agents were available, then -- without asking me -- sent a message, failing to apologize for anything, letting me know I now have an appointment 5 days from now in a different town.
