Staff is helpful but stay out of the way, trainers are available but don't hard sell, equipment is good, tons of free weights. If you go early it's usually pretty slow. There's a good amount of serious lifters but no one's ever made me feel bad or self conscious. After a few weeks people start saying hi to you. read more

The reason I am posting on here is because posting on his Facebook, he is clearly filtering out the messages. During the pandemic, this owner was still charging his members for at least 3 months. Let's start off by saying that this is illegal. You can not charge someone for services you are not providing. I know he is refusing to refund anyone. Reasons why I contacted the attorney general to report them. I will get my refund one way or another or this gym will be shut down. This owner posting on Facebook about our memberships is not appropriate methods to take reach out to members. He needed to reciprocate the same energy that he has when he wants to collect his payments. He will call you, email you, or send you a letter. Let's not talk about the headache it is to even attempt to get out of that contract. That you, physically have to go in person or write a letter. I could care less about his sob story about keeping the lights on. When your business is blooming, none of us, as members reap the benefits of your business. You have had the same business for over 10 years and have yet to update the gym or have all the equipment needed. You clearly pocket all the money. This is morally and ethically, just wrong. Especially during a pandemic! Let's not forget the loan that was given to businesses due to the pandemic and unemployment financial assistance that he might qualify for. I suggest everybody file a complaint to the attorney general and get the word out to the community. I've already made them aware and have sent them screenshots. If I could give this gym a 0, I would. If he was smart, he would refund everyone. When the IRS starts going through his records and sees how he was charging people during a shut down, I am sure they will start investigating as well. Pros: Decent location Good amount of free weights and cardio machines during non-peak hours Never had security issues with my locker or anything like that Very affordable Cons: Parking situation is unsafe and bordering on ridiculous Lack of gym etiquette by members that seems to be reinforced by the employees (People hanging out on machines,bags being left on the floor,empty water bottles on benches.) During peak time it's not possible to get in a full workout due to overcrowding During evenings you will find a lot of screamers in the free weight area, which is uncomfortable to say the least Some employees seem bothered and put-out at all times Blaring music from fitness classes floods the workout area and is deafening As you can see there are a lot more cons than pros. This gym could be really great if they doubled the parking lot size, enforced a gym code of conduct, and brought in some people who have a passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals. This gym has so much potential only if the staff cared. Parking is limited but you can park on the side street and I have yet to see people get ticketed for that so there is parking if you want to workout. Let me go through the things I observed that makes me give this place 1 star 1)Most of the staff are always chatting with each other and you cannot tell who is staff and who is not because they don't wear any gym T-Shirts indicating they are staff. 2) the clases thought by Ken are super boring and the same thing all the time 3) I actually checked. 2 of their trainers Ken and Carlton are not even licensed to be personal trainer (hellooooo liability....) they don't even look the part so I would never hire either one of them to train me anyways. 4) no point complaining about something because they don't really care about members. 5) they just started crossfit over there but I go left to go to a different location because they don't crank up the music, they only have 2 great coaches Lisa and Brian, the rest they give crossfit a bad name I wouldn't recommend this gym because it is not a motivating environment and the staff as well as staff manager, Shelley, don't seem to care that much. The gym overall is in good shape and has a variety of equipment, and has classes at do-able times. But the staff is, for the most part, sub-par. The people who work the front desk and some of the workout instructors can be very rude and unwelcoming, even ridiculing. Overall I do not feel comfortable working out in this environment. I love this gym! No frills. Lots of equipment. You don't have to awkwardly do squats while 10 ppl stand there waiting for you to be done . No meathead guys trying to work in sets w you bc there are always open benches or machines. Love the Cable machines, free weights, and you don't have to pay more a month to get the wifi password like at that God forsaken Hell hole Blast fitness. You don't even NEED a password. The women's only room is huge w a good selection of equipment. During the day there are 2 open studio rooms I can do bear crawls in without looking like a psycho. The parking does get tight around 5-6 , but.......this is the city. Better than trying to drive through moms and their screaming kids at the strip mall planet fitness in Dedham . RT 1 traffic? NNoooooo thank you. All the staff is friendly without being fake and saying some corny lines like " Have a healthy day!" or whatever they say at that Hell Hole Blast fitness. read more

This place is alright. Parking is limited. The front desk workers are ok when they are alone and not talking o other employees. I think they should at least ask how people are enjoying the gym. There should be some sort of way that we can recognize the workers from the members. There is only one woman that works behind the desk that I'v seen work out. She works in the morning. She is very feindly and helpful. The gym is equipped well, but by the rates of people joining it is becoming packed. No bikes available after 4:00. It is just packed. However, the staff , particularly the counter help are ridiculously rude! I call to cancel my subscription and literally had a confrontation because I asked why I have to come in to cancel my subscription as opposed to mailing it in. I asked to speak to one of the owners or a manager and was told neither was in. I asked when or how I could get in contact with one of them and was told to try back later. I love this gym. The staff is all very friendly and helpful, I never feel out of place or awkward while I'm there. It's a very basic gym, but it has everything that you could want/need from a gym without all the unnecessary things you have to pay for every month with other gyms. The membership fees are the best in the area and I see more and more people each time I go. I started with 3 free sessions with a personal trainer and that was a great way for me to learn what I need to do in order to achieve the results I wanted, and show me how to use the equipment. The classes they offer are great for people at all levels of fitness and everybody who uses the gym is open and into making new friends. My family and I has been members of this gym ever since it was located in Milton. This gym is perfect, it has everything you need. They always offer free classes for members and they will have a saunas soon. Compare to other gyms, this place is twice as big. I mean come on its 22,000 square ft. The parking lot is big, but get full fast because so many people goes around 5-7pm. This gym can be a tad bit expensive, but they offer special rates sometimes. You get three free workout with Gary, one of the owners of the gym. If you are looking for a gym that has a lot treadmills and equipments then this is the right gym for you. This is an awesome gym with great staff and people. I took advantage of the free Tuesday night 7 pm Yoga with Tanya and it was AMAZING!!! I have heard for ten years how great yoga is for you and how it will help my back, my only regret is that I didn't try yoga before. Tanya helped all the students with their postures and poses so I didn't feel awkward but welcomed and nurtured. While doing the poses I realized a lot of it consisted of the similar exercises I received from Pt at the New England Baptist for my back, I also noticed it was similar to a lot of the gymnastics exercises my 6 year old daughter has me doing. It's great for your back, a lot of great stretching for your entire body, and relaxing. I highly recommend this class, don't wait years like I did biggest mistake I have ever made ! read more

I have been a member at the gym for about 2 years now. This gym is amazing!! The staff is friendly, always being nice to me as well as others. Ths gym is full of weights and machines. They also have a very cool weight loss challenge where you win money and loose weight. I tend to go to about 3 classes per week and I love them all. The hot latin buns class is awesome, wow!! So is you want a place where you can go get an awesome workout and meet cool people, then personalized fitness is for you. Ya the parking could be a little tight but you can also park on the street, no big deal and every gym always will has busy times. But I dont let that stop me. This place is absolute trash. The owner Mark is a complete jerk and cant mind his own business and continuously makes rude remarks about everyone and think he's some type of god. He will harass you for using certain types of equipments and pressure you to not stay on it for too long. On top of that the equipment is always broken and he refuses to replace or fix it. Great place. Owners are very knowledgeable of weight training and technique. Arguably, one of the premier gyms in a 25 mile proximity.
