I have a lifelong resistance to doctors, lots of waiting and they see you for such a short moment…read morethat what is the point? I've also moved a ton so have never had a chance to develop a rapport with a Doctor until now. I have been seeing Dr. Falquier for 3 years now and LOVE her. I have been (until the last 4 weeks) been a healthy young woman and only visited her on the routine occasions for the regular check ups etc. about a month ago i developed a sever back issue that is still going on. I have seen her about 4 times in the past month as she is tireless in trying to find the right resolution for my pain. She is so friendly and understanding, I know that she has my best interest at heart. I'm also very glad at how young she is as she won't be retiring anytime soon and I hope she is my doc forever. Everyone at the downtown location is very courteous and fast, and friendly. I've hit the Urgent care 3 times and always been seen very quickly. All that aside though, Dr. Falquier rocks. If you've never had a bond with your doc I seriously recommend checking her out. Good luck!!

Another 5-star review for Dr. Falquier, but it bears repeating - she's awesome!…read more I came across her because she was in the same office as someone on the list of San Diego's best doctors. That doctor wasn't accepting new patients but Dr. Falquier was, and boy am I thankful for that. Finding a good doctor is always tough, and after a couple of false starts, I'm really happy that I found her. She's totally on the ball, makes you feel comfortable, genuinely seems to care (imagine that!), and is funny to boot. I love Dr. Falquier, and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a new primary care physician.

We are very fortunate to live close to this hospital and even more pleased with the type of care…read moreand communication that was present today. From the minute we brought our friend in the ER wing for a severe migraine headache, to the last call to come and pick her up, the nurses and orderlies were most personable and efficient. The doctor on call (Dr. Wang) seemed confident that he could help our friend and after a series of questions and specific behaviors that he observed, he recommended a "infusion cocktail" that would take a few hours to perform. After a total of 4 hours, and lots of warm blankets, making sure our friend was comfortably lying down, and ice water (for me) we were able to pick her up and take her back home - headache free. My husband and I have taken family and friends to the ER for years and to my recollection, this was the fastest-in and fastest-out with success that we can remember. We also wanted to give a high-five to "Keisha" Logan and "Kaiwai" = It takes a great team to run a hospital!"

On Monday, July 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM, I visited the hospital due to a referral from my stomach…read moresurgeon. The surgeon had recommended an emergency room visit for abdominal pain/vomiting. Upon arrival, I remained quiet and sat alone in the emergency room. This was my first experience at this particular facility, as I had only visited Scripps Green and Scripps Lajolla. During my ER wait, I felt anxious and apprehensive. The atmosphere in the emergency room was unsettling, reminiscent of a crime scene. A security guard wielded a long red stick, threatening to strike a homeless individual who refused to comply. The homeless individuals present responded with aggressive behavior, including yelling and screaming. After approximately one hour, I was summoned back to the hospital. The only available bed was located in the hallway, not in a private room. I endured a two-hour wait before receiving a CT scan. The CT scan technicians were unprofessional and sarcastic, giving rude looks, exhibiting a lack of courtesy and respect. Furthermore, four male nurses or staff members stationed at the entrance to the registration area engaged in inappropriate behavior, cursing and acting in a manner that belied their professional roles. Many of the nurses walked the hallways with egregious attitudes. NEver seen four of the female nurses act this way, I really was asking myself. ..Why am I still here in this ER and not driving myself to Scripps La Jolla, or green hospital. I Simply asked one of the nurses where the nearest restroom was..she gave me a go to hell look and walked right past me, not even answering me. In contrast, my attending physician, Dr. Katherine Ross M.D., was exceptionally pleasant and attentive. I had no complaints about her bedside manner. I am scheduled to undergo surgery at this hospital in the near future, but I have decided to cancel the appointment. I intend to seek care at a safer hospital where I feel secure and where professional medical staff conduct themselves with professionalism and respect. I will thoroughly review my medical bill with my insurance provider to ensure that I am not overcharged. While I appreciate my surgeon's expertise, I will not undergo surgery in an environment that induces fear and discomfort. I strongly advise individuals considering this hospital to exercise caution and explore alternative options. I have great insurance. I am not going to be paying to be treated like a piece of Garbage, to be scared and frightened in a ER. UCSD Hospital, Scripps Lajolla, and Scripps Green are all safer alternatives. Only.

This guy is great! From the start he was non judgmental about anything I had to say or needed…read moretreatment for. I have no complaints about his staff or office. He gets refills done quick when I need them and most of the time I don't have to go into the office to pick up my scrips. One of the few doctors that saves paper and is helpful at finding the most cost effective ways of getting me my medication. Whenever I see him he makes certain that we touched all bases and nothing else can be done with the current visit. After seeing him for nearly 6 or 7 years, I had a life changing event and he takes even more time just to listen and make sure that he is providing the best care possible and by spending the extra minute, he once again will make sure that there isn't anything more he can do to make my life better. Although he does take insurance, he doesn't rush like most doctors to the 6 patients an hour that is required for most doctors accepting insurance. If something requires more time and attention, he will make time to help. He makes me feel comfortable about talking about even the most embarrassing issues and dealing with the situation in the most dignified manner. Finally, when he doesn't know exactly the right treatment he will refer to someone that is more knowledgeable in the field that the ailment requires. We see things the same way about drugs, meaning less is more. He doesn't have that mentality that "there isn't anything my prescription pad cannot cure". It's more of a less drugs is healthier in the long run. Plus, his signage inside every room is great. Check the pictures! So those people "shopping" for doctors this isn't your guy for getting your fix he's a doctor, not a drug pusher/dealer. All in all, I'd recommend Dr. Shamblaw as a solid base for health care for anybody. Solid GP/Family MD. Side note: sorry it took 6+ years to write my review.
