We called on Hirby Pest Control, you want to know why, and they are the best in town. You can call on any other pest control company and never receive the service, which only they can provide. Their service men are very customer service oriented, their appearance is very professional, and the quality of their product, AMAZING. Their services range from bugs, pigeons, bats, fleas, ticks, bed bugs, lawns, trees and much more. I had the opportunity to chat with one of their service men and they have been around since1974. Their presence in El Paso is strong and I have taken it upon myself to ask about the name, apparently the owner is Eddie Beard, they apparently had a baseball team for kids back in the day. Recently I've had a horrible issue with them that I wish had been resolved in a more polite manner. I scheduled for Hirby to come and spray for ticks, which happened. I had to reschedule the follow up to a later date due to us being out of town on business. When I came home, there were still ticks crawling around not only outside but inside as well. This made me upset because I am paying $150 and there are still ticks? The man, Victor, came for the follow-up and I showed him that there were still ticks. He explained that after this service there would no longer be any more. Soon after the service, I found more ticks. I quickly called the company but as another person noted, my phone calls seemed to be getting "dodged" for days! When I finally got a hold of them Rose insisted that it was my fault because I had rescheduled and the follow up needed to be within a certain amount of days. I am not arguing with that, but how in the world is a customer to know this? I was not told this and would have arranged for someone to be at the house for the second spray had I been told. Why would I pay $150 and set myself up for failure? I asked if they could please return to spray again because there's really no reason that spray shouldn't kill the ticks. She said she'd send him the next day, Saturday, and spoke to me with attitude. Victor, always very friendly, came the next day and told me he would continue coming for free until the ticks were gone (which I have recorded on one of my home cameras.) Lo and behold on the following Saturday I have a charge on my credit card for $46 from Hirby. I called all day and my phone calls were "dodged" yet again. Finally Rose picked up and then said she would call me back in ten minutes, which never happened. I called again today, Monday, and Rose told me she was asking Victor why he charged me. Then she told me it was because I had rescheduled the follow up and since it was my fault they charged me again. I told her that we had already spoke of this and the fact that I was not told when the follow up needed to be and that when she set up for him to come she never mentioned I would be charged nor did Victor while he was with me. She repeatedly told me why it was my fault (yet again.) I explained to her that me getting charged on my card without my knowledge is illegal. She then said she could only give me credit for my next visit. I told her I do not want credit because I will no longer be doing business with this company and I would like the money back on my card. She said oh okay and then told me for my information that I should oblige to what I'm told with whatever other company I go to. This rude comment along with her attitude gave me peace in the decision to find another business. I told her yes ma'am, thank you. And that was that!

Max made time to come to my house the day I contacted him despite his very full schedule, and took the first steps to rid my house of a couple of mice who have apparently moved in. He listened to my description of the problem, inspected my cupboards, closets, the garage, and all areas where I said I had seen evidence of mice. He then set bait traps around the house and said he would be checking on them in a month; pretty much guaranteeing that the mice would be gone by then. He said to call him if I saw anything concerning prior to that. I want to thank him for his professional, personal and friendly service. He set my mind at ease that he had the situation under control, and that it was not that dire as I had caught it and called him early. I explained to him what I wanted and even pointed out my neighbors yard and told him I wanted it exactly like theirs. He promised he would get it done and we wouldn't be disappointed. We were and still are highly disappointed. The cement that he poured was uneven and literally crumbled and cracked the day after he took off the moldings, the turf was bumpy, uneven, and had no defined border making it look extremely messy (he had told me he was going to put a border but he "forgot") and the rocks were just average. He took our money and did not come through with what he said he would do. I also want to point out that the business is not registered in the city of El Paso nor does the owner have a general contracting license. Do not hire him.

I thought it was torn landscaping paper and took a good look before I went to pick it up. It was something tiny and moving! It was trying to burrow into the crevice of the gate. I immediately called ProTech and they arrived within 20 minutes- it was 6:30 PM on a Saturday night! They removed the creature and told me that it was a Brown Mexican Bat and that it was rabid as determined by its actions. Yes, this pest control visit was costly but if my little dog, Luciano, went out there and decided to play with it, or if it bit me (I am always in flip flops and open toe shoes right now) it would have been a night mare.
