Jerry, the owner, had left his business card in our door. We were looking at getting our front yard landscaping done and decided to hire him. I explained to him what I wanted and even pointed out my neighbors yard and told him I wanted it exactly like theirs. He promised he would get it done and we wouldn't be disappointed. We were and still are highly disappointed. The cement that he poured was uneven and literally crumbled and cracked the day after he took off the moldings, the turf was bumpy, uneven, and had no defined border making it look extremely messy (he had told me he was going to put a border but he "forgot") and the rocks were just average. He took our money and did not come through with what he said he would do. I also want to point out that the business is not registered in the city of El Paso nor does the owner have a general contracting license. Do not hire him. read more

These folks have removed pigeons, improved my lawn and today they removed a tiny Brown Mexican Bat. I was headed to my front gate and saw a small ball of black in the corner of the gate. I thought it was torn landscaping paper and took a good look before I went to pick it up. It was something tiny and moving! It was trying to burrow into the crevice of the gate. I immediately called ProTech and they arrived within 20 minutes- it was 6:30 PM on a Saturday night! They removed the creature and told me that it was a Brown Mexican Bat and that it was rabid as determined by its actions. Yes, this pest control visit was costly but if my little dog, Luciano, went out there and decided to play with it, or if it bit me (I am always in flip flops and open toe shoes right now) it would have been a night mare. Good Salesmanship, unsatisfactory service and performance. Charged a premium for a pest control solution, w/warranty and "commitment" to ensure that the solution would be effective. They applied their pest control measure, but they were marginally effective and incomplete. I notified them almost immediately, and they reiterated their commitment and promised to follow up. They did not follow up for several months, and made several promises to come over but never did. Only excuses. They finally did their "follow up" several months after, and only after constant complaints by me. The solution was never effective, but their lack of service and "stringing' me along for several months was extremely frustrating. read more

Unfortunately, I have to give them 1 star. About mid May, I found their website online and called them. I sent an email. The phone listed, barely anyone ever picks up. I never got a reply to the email. Eventually, I got in touch with one of the folks there, I cannot recall his name. He asked that i sent him a text with my address and that he would be by at 1400 that same day. At 1300 or so I received a call, saying he won't probably make it to my house that day, but will call first thing in the morning to let me know what time he would arrive. He never called back. This was my first visit from Jerry's lawn maintenance crew...I'm VERY happy with the job that was done. The crew is professional & polite...and the price he charges is incredibly fair considering the past quotes & shoddy work I've experienced in the past. I'm looking forward to having my yard fertilized. It's my understanding that his specially formulated fertilizer is nothing short of miraculous!!! I'll leave an update once it's been done. We've use Pro-Tech for years now, and we're very pleased w/their service. Owner genuinely cares for customer's needs. We schedule them for routine monthly spraying but owner's always on the lookout for termites, birds damaging the roof, or any potential dangers that could cost us money down the line. Owner is great at offering advice on ways to save so bigger problems don't occur. This company has integrity. They won't offer a product/service of theirs to profit if it's not in good conscience beneficial to the customer. I've heard many times, 'We do have that service; I could do that for you if that's what you want. But honestly, for your situation, you don't need it. You'll just be wasting your money.' They have been backed up and had scheduling issues in the past but they always discount their rates to accommodate any inconvenience. And, really, for the above & beyond service they provide, it isn't much of an inconvenience at all. If you care about quality service, great rates, non-toxic products, and all-out helpful people, Pro-Tech's the place to call for all pest control needs. read more
