My Coco has been going here for about 3-4 yrs now and I think they do a great job of grooming! My baby comes out looking very cuddly soft and adorable with her colorful scarfs! I expect a few basic things from my groomer aside from the obvious things... 1. The groomer likes what they do/enjoys dogs and grooming them. 2. My dog is in and out in under four hours which I always request the best time to come in order to make that happen. 3. I always tip well in order to ensure my requests are honored. After taking my small dog here for years the service started to decline. The lady that owns this place used to be friendly and nice and now she acts like she hates her job and it shows. When you get there they hand you the dog before you pay which is super annoying because you are trying to hold your dog and pay at the same time. And last time I went there my dogs were there waaaay too long and as soon as I put them down they pooped all over which means they were not taken out the whole time they were there!! absolutely unacceptable!! I've been taking my puggle here for a couple years now and they are great! Reasonable prices and the can usually get your pooch done in about an hour or so. If you have a bigger dog you might want to call ahead cause they might not have time for yours. The hours are slightly random and not the most convenient. read more

Went here last summer to get a tick removed from the inside of my small dogs leg. First off, right when you walk in, you can see that the place is a complete mess. I understand it is a place that keeps animals with fur every day. But there was hair EVERYWHERE. It looked like the place hadn't been cleaned since it opened. Second, the lady running the place took a look at the tick, just grabbed it and yanked it, even though I had inquired on the phone if they could remove the whole thing, head included. (it can cause infection) So sure enough, the head was left in there, then she proceeded to squeeze the crap out of the spot. When she couldn't get it out, she was decent enough to tell us it was free of charge. Um, thanks? All of this isn't even touching on the wall of dogs kept in cages just yapping and yelling the entire time, that didn't seem taken care of. This place needs to be cleaned, reorganized, more staff hired and a lesson in professionalism. I literally wondered what numbers I could call to have the business inspected by a health professional. Stay far far away, cheap prices aren't worth putting your loved one at risk. read more

Decided to try this place out after hearing good reviews from a co-worker. I understand that my dog is a squirmer but during all her trips to the groomers for these past 8 years she has never been cut until her visit to Pet Bath and Beyond. She has two cuts on her belly as well as her nails were cut too short and uneven. You can definitely see that she cut the quick of her nails. I will not be returning nor will I be recommending this location to anyone! Yeah the price was cheap but I'd rather pay extra to ensure my dog is properly groomed. read more

I went to Pet Bath & Beyond based on the recommendation from a friend and because I wanted to support a small local business. After my experience this weekend, I will NOT be returning. I took my dog there for a full grooming and not only did she drag my dog across the room on his pinch collar in front of me and put him in a kennel, but she was incredibly rude to me and very unprofessional. There were many other dogs in kennels barking/crying which made me think that she must do a good job if she's THAT busy; I think I was fooled. Three and a half hours later after calling to see how much longer it would be, I went back to pick up my dog and he was NOT himself. I could tell that something was wrong. For a dog that normally isn't phased by groomings, he had his tail between his legs and was acting out of the ordinary. Upon our arrival at home, I noticed that she had cut 3-4 of his nails (including his dew claw) so short that they would not stop bleeding, she had cut his hair down to his skin on his front arm, hind legs, and under his chin. These were just things that I could see, who knows what else happened while I wasn't there. The appropriate thing would've been for her to make me aware of what happened and apologize. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning. read more

I agree with the previous comment regarding not taking the dogs out while they are there but really like the groomer. She takes her time and is good with my dog. I have a hyper 10 month old Pomeranian and she did great with him. She did give my dog to me before paying (which I don't mind because I miss him while he's gone) but was helpful because she noticed pieces of hair that weren't even near his ear and snipped them. Her prices are fair. Definitely recommend! read more

Went today to get my pointers nail clipped He is a mess usually for nail clipping We usually put him up on a table to clip however the owner did not synchronize w me when and how to place my dog up that during the process she hit my eye with my dogs head This should not be my responsibility to assist with the handling of my dog and she should obtain enough help to run her business I'm usually not the type to complain but she doesn't care about the safety of your dog either as over the summer she had left her screen door partially open and my dog darted out. Thankfully I was able to lure him back. While there she also said that one of the huskies were annoying . I've gone there for several years and she would be smiling but now looks like she really hates her job I personally would want my dog to be in the hands of someone I can trust and who loves animals . This place is great. The owner is very good with our little dog. She loves going and getting her hair done here. Good prices. She even referred me to a dog sitter who I outstanding.
