I called first thing the next morning and Donna scheduled me right away. While there Donna was so helpful and the receptionists made sure I was greeted. Our technician, Jennifer was very nice and handled Claudette very well. (Claudette is a scardy dog when it comes to the vet. The moment she realized what was up, she tried to leave!) Dr. Allen was great too and very patient. Within 30 minutes, we were finished! Happily Claudette is fine. She has some medications and her mother is now at ease. However, she may have a new fashion assessory, a cone. The hospital is clean and inviting. Also the exam rooms are very well lit and not intimidating. What I really love is that the exam table is also the scale!!! The scale lifts from the floor! Needless to say, I was very impressed as I had not been there since before Katrina. Dr. Chris Baudy spayed and neutered over 600 community cats in 2024 and has already fixed over 400 this year. Being able to perform 30 surgeries in one day is not a talent that everyone has and it is not an easy job. We are so very lucky to have Dr. Chris in our community working on one of St. Bernard's biggest problems. Thank you Dr. Chris and all the staff at Paris Road Animal Hospital. I brought her in a carrier, she had on a collar, and there was a blanket in her carrier. I met a rude lady when I first arrived. She wouldn't let me in and asked if I was supposed to be there. When the receptionist left me in, I signed and paid and even jokingly asked, "Is she going to be in good hands?". My kitten collapsed less than an hour after surgery. She was cold and barely moved, so I rushed her back to them. They wouldn't let me go to the back with her, and I heard her yelp, so I assume they gave her a shot. Considering that when she came back, she was back to life. Despite her collapse and cold ears, paws, and nose. They also ear-tipped her, which was an illegal procedure done without my knowledge. I asked them about this, and Christopher Baudy told me it was only a small cut and did not offer anything besides that. They also tried to tell me that they didn't know she was owned. I am so hurt and heartbroken by my experience. They did nothing to help me or my baby. Please be aware of these guys!

Hi folks! This vet,…read moreNOLA Animal Clinic, misdiagnosed my cat and she died tragically in our arms three days after our $400 vet visit and hours after they called us and told us that she was fine. I posted a grieving statement on social media as a comment on a private post within 15 minutes of my cat's death. Dr Lily Rai, who I have 4 mutual friends with, is the owner of NOLA Animal Clinic. Someone thought it would be wise to screencap my private comment on a private statement and send it to NOLA Animal Clinic after they killed my pet through misdiagnosis and neglect. In return, someone at NOLA Animal Clinic thought it would be wise to call the police and file a police report on me while I was inconsolable. I'm here to make sure that everyone knows about it, as well as about a poorly run clinic that in all likelihood killed my pet due to neglect and misdiagnosis and then, rather than reach out to me when I was upset, thought it was better to call the cops. The worst mistake anyone could have made was to call the cops on me while I was grieving. I can be fully within my rights and not break any kind of law and let everyone know of my experience. In fact, I told the policeman that I spoke to exactly this and he seemed to agree. I also asked him to inform the folks at NOLA Veterinary Clinic that this was coming. Maybe they'll learn that calling the cops isn't a great idea, after all. This is the tip of the iceberg of problems with cops and power structures in America. In exchange for the kindness of the folks over at NOLA Animal Clinic I'm going to upload something that they posted just a few days ago on their social media account. When I see someone post some ALL LIVES MATTER content in our unprecedented times, I have to assume that they are either racist, incredibly stupid, or both. Please keep in mind that their practice has of clientele that is mostly people of color. Thank you so much NOLA Animal Clinic for "caring about people, no matter what color" and being alarmist and being cop callers when you, accidentally or not, caused the death of someone's pet. Please make them famous. I will also publish a copy of the police report as soon as I get it, where a private comment that I made to a private audience was reported as a public threat by someone who is trying to intimidate me into silence rather than trying to make amends or communicate with me, which was always an option. To be honest, I had no idea what they were talking about when the cops called because I was in a state of deep grief and sorrow. It was only when a friend saw the comment buried in a post with over 160 comments that I figured out what they were talking about. This whole experience has been Kafka-esque. They had my phone number, which they obviously gave to the police. They could have communicated with me directly, but rather than that, someone over there decided to be Becky Cop-Caller and make my day worse. When you call the cops on someone, you absolutely know you are attempting to do harm to them. It is unforgivable. I hope everyone over at NOLA Animal Clinic sleeps well tonight and someone else causes them pain when they are grieving.

She took my dog "for vitals" and didn't return for several minutes. Another staff member said they were waiting for the doctor, but as soon as they noticed me watching, the rope came off and she was returned. Later, in the room, she got a shot while I held her -- no barking, no movement. Clearly, the rope and aggressive restraint were unnecessary. Their social media shows gentle, happy animals at outreach events -- no ropes, no towels, no rough handling. What I saw today was the opposite. We won't be back. Update: we've found another vet after reviewing the video from the visit and watching their TikTok making fun of the feedback from our experience.
