I needed food for Scaly and I've been looking around the Enfield region recently so I decided to take the bus to Winchmore Hill. Tara's friend who works for Tara 2 days a week immediately struck up a conversation with me about my 1920's cigarette holder (sans cig) and about her daughter being a fashion designer etc. Good Times. I found some food for SBFS and it was a bit expensive (2.75) but quite fruity so I thought "why not?". They had a nice selection of cuttle bones and bird toys including a wooden swing for 6.99. There is dog and cat food here and the smattering of other animal food as well. Tara's friend complained about handling the stinky rawhide bits of pig ears and things. I felt grossed out given my dietary habits.. but hey I'm not a dog. I do own a collar but that's a different matter all together.

Even an anti-depressant drops. Ricky won't leave her cage even with the door open. The bird was abused before she came to Hornsey. I wish I could help Ricky. In terms of the store, they sell all types of animal food including bird feed (which is what My Boots is interested in and therefore what I am interested in). The bird food was really cheap (1.25 per bag) and even less for the crap sunflower seed ones. Boots needs his food fruity. He's a premium mix little Grey man. I don't really get the Garden Shop part of the name. I believe I saw some flowers out front but nothing else really. This is pet food store. No Bird toys but some cat and dog accessories. I wish I could try to get Ricky out of her cage. I think she liked me. The staff has tried, maybe Ricky will come around.

Stacked to the rafters with pet parafenalia it's the place to get all your pet needs met. As for prices, I was pleased that everything was at a descent price compared to some other places I visited. Before I discovered this pet supplies store, I was buying from Amazon, which was often sold out of the only type of litter I liked. When I found this store, I saw they had a huge selection of everything, from dry and wet cat food, to raw treats to litter, toys...you name it. Prices are really competitive - beats or matches what I have found on Amazon but without having to wait for shipping. Their membership card is free and a portion of the store's proceeds go to charity of your choice. You can also find small pets here: small birds and parrots, gerbils, rabbits and chinchillas. They also have dog grooming. Those who say you can get a better deal at Tesco obviously aren't picky about the quality of products they are getting for their pets. I don't buy my cat any processed junky crap you find at Tesco and Sainsburys - I once had a cat develop IBS as a result of that sh*tty food. I only buy grain free organic now with as few ingredients as possible. I want my cat to live a long healthy life and stores like this make it possible. They treat what ever animals they have here really well. There are no dogs sold here, which is a good thing - I don't like the idea of pet stores selling dogs anymore. But they do sell plenty of doggy treats for all you pet lovers out there. This is where I pick up my dogs chocolate buttons, which are so much cheaper here then they are in Tesco's. They sell a few different types of birds here, like love birds and parrots. Plenty of fish too, and some bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters. I melt when I see anything furry or fluffy, so I try not to come in here to much, as I would probably leave with something squeaky.
