While the place can get really full on weekends, I prefer going during weekdays as there are not too many dogs lined up for grooming, and the groomers can really spend time on my dog (and the freshly groomed scent lasts all week too!) The price depends on the grooming, but since I have a short-haired mini dachs, the price is slightly affordable at 400. The service starts with the groomer gently cutting the dog's nails, followed by cleaning the ears with baby oil (if your dog has special ear medicine, you can bring that too), then followed by a bath. The Purple Groom uses a tub and a handheld shower to really clean the dog. This is then followed by drying the dog with a blower, and once your furry friend is all dried up, powder and cologne are applied. In addition to dog grooming, The Purple Groom also retails Royal Canin dog food, as well as some accessories and medicines such as tick removers, pet cologne and pet carriers, beds, and dog nappies. What I really like though about The Purple Groom is how they handle the dogs. Personally, I've been requesting Christian to groom my dog as he's very gentle with dogs and you can really see that he's just really into pets and is very professional and knows what he's doing. Also, if you are busy, you can also leave your pets safely at The Purple Groom as they have ample dog cages while their owners are still out doing errands.

If ever you're coming from the parking area, and see lots of people crowding over a window near the mall entrance doors, those are Furry Tails groomers doing their best to groom our little dog friends! I've always been satisfied with Furry Tails' services, from dog services and to their actual customer service. They're polite and accommodating, just approach them and you'll either find what you're looking for or gain a piece of knowledge or two. Another time, my other dog came home with ticks and got sick. :( Since then, I made a point to find a groomer that not only made my furbabies pretty, they also had to be people who were very caring in the way they handled them. The reason why I like The Purple Groom is because, when I ask them to give my furbabies a specific cut, they don't ask questions and just do it. For example, I always ask that my Toy Poodle has to have a Bichon cut (I like her to look poofy all the time). Also, for my Yorkie, he is a boy but I ask that they give him a "girl cut" and they would know what I mean. Their regular full grooming package includes shampoo, hair cut, nail trim, ear cleaning, and teeth cleaning. The grooming prices range from Php450 for a small breeds and Php500 for medium breeds. I usually have to pay a bit more for my poodle because her fur is always in knots. Also, I like that they will text me a message when they are almost finished grooming. :)

Run out of cat food and litter? Not a problem. Need emergency medicines? They're just a trike ride away from my place! I sometimes just wish they carry more brands of cat food though, because at the moment, they just carry two. One of those is the brand that makes my cats throw up. I gotta hand it to the vets here, by the way. They have the patience to put up with my constant calls and checking of their stocks. I hope they're not wondering why I don't take my cats there for the purpose of medical care though, because I will probably break the news: "YOU'RE SO EXPENSIVE!"

There were also some stalls selling puppies and cats, and the look of those poor little fellas waiting to find a new home tugged at my heart strings. Not that I'm going to adopt them or anything. My little girl really enjoyed that part of Tiendesitas. She wanted to stay there longer, but I was afraid it would trigger our allergies so we had to go. I promised her we'd go back there with our puppy, if I can manage the long ride from the south to Pasig with two kids and a dog.
