I've spent the last few months letting my Pomeranian's coat grow in order to counter the butchering…read moreshe endured from another groomer. When I called to set up the appointment I recounted our experience with the other groomer, and the employee I was speaking with was appalled at my story. I asked if their groomers were skilled in scissor-cutting double-coated dogs. She asked me to hold while she consulted the groomer. As it turns out, the groomer who took care of my dog has owned Pomeranians in the past and is well-versed in how to groom them properly WITH scissors. So I made the appointment and was told that it would probably be only 60 to 90 minutes. That was surprising for a bath, haircut, and nail trim...or maybe I'm just used to the other groomer and their 3 hour grooming windows. Riley's even calls to give you a 15 minute heads up that the grooming is almost complete. My girl looked good when I went to pick her up. She had a bath (presumably with unscented doggy shampoo since she didn't smell like an exotic dancer.) She even had a little bow in her hair. That was a nice touch. Maybe next time I'll ask them to paint her toenails. The most important thing is that she made my baby look like a Pomeranian again. It's gong to take a while longer to get her coat fully restored, although it may never grow back properly 100%, but the groomer was able to even things out so it doesn't have that weird look that we'd had before. At any rate, I'm pleased with the job Ms. Jackie did, and we'll be back.

Such a great place for healthy treats, toys etc. the manger is amazing super healthful. Thank you!!!read more

This used to be a good place to purchase dog food but not anymore and I will be looking for another…read moreplace, even if I have to pay more. I have three dogs and I feed them very well. Pet Food Center would always give a 10% military discount and on Monday's would give a 20% military discount. When you are purchasing well over $150 a month on food alone, this adds up, and should be appreciated as a loyal customer. Well, as of the first of April, 2023, corporate has decided that they are losing too much money in this military town of Clarksville, TN and they will no longer honor ANY military discount on food. But we can still shop their junk and get a 10% military discount on anything else but food. We worked for pennies on the dollar while in the military and put up with crap many times, and now the big businesses cannot spare a few pennies to the military to feed their animals? I just wonder if the military discount discontinuance was across the board or just in this one military town. One of the clerks told me why it wasn't being given anymore. Which BTW, they cannot keep a groomer there and there is a great turnaround on cashiers and managers and staff. Hmm, makes you wonder. All I know, is that I don't have to shop there and there are far too many other places that I can shop and even have it delivered straight to my door. I think you have made a huge mistake by taking away this discount because many military that I know will start shopping elsewhere because it is a slap in the face. It's bad enough to quit giving the discount but to do it because corporate is losing too much money. Give me a Break.

The service was absolutely atrocious! The small pets manager Haily was very rude and kept giving me…read moreattitude when I asked questions about how to care for a ferret. She said "what are you a dumbass" when asked if I could give the ferrets diet food for them ass they seemed a little chunky. The worst part was that I was with my 5 year old daughter and she said that my daughter wasn't competent enough to care for a ferret! Best believe I'll never shop here nor would I recomend it so long as she works here.

I have tried talking to the trainers and even the owner and got told basically she didn't want to…read morehear it. I have said all of this to the owner personally. -horrible communication, and it gets blamed on clients -not putting out quality training -price is TOO high for what you're putting out -lying about customers feeling that have been told to owner -owner treating trainers horribly -trainer treating other trainers disrespectfully We have been so disappointed in our training. Stanley was NOT ready to pass public access. We barely passed and we have a dog that's only good at walking on a leash. The miscommunication between the desk and the trainers was horrible and instead you blamed it on ME, the person paying your company to help us. We were told we could apply for scholarships but was NEVER told what it could be used for or when to apply. Also I asked multiple times when I could use the scholarship, was told it can't be used for the public access test (which is $210 too much) and wasn't able to be used for task training. We even did our public access test together with another team and there was 0 discount for either of us. I am HUGE about sending people to Legends Acres and my loyalty is huge but I will be suggesting many others including Tiffany's company (one of the trainers who left while we were training due to the communication and many other issues) and whoever we have to pay to get our dog up to service dog standards and will tell my HONEST opinion about the company from now on. Also the talking down about trainers by one trainer in particular was not very professional. I waited to write this until I was not emotional about the situation like when I called about another miscommunication issue back 6 months ago and the owner directly spoke to me and downplayed everything we spoke about and gaslit me saying it was a me and the trainers miscommunication when the trainers were telling me they wanted to do training and you weren't allowing it.

I'm not connected with Legend Acres in Stewart, TN, but I want to make people aware of this…read moretrainer. Owner/operator of Legend Acres, Kristi May, comes to Jackson for dog training classes on Sundays. My dog is doing so well, not just learning "tricks," but also behaviors. I learn cognitive exercises that he enjoys, how to "set him up to succeed" in his learning, and to strengthen our bond. At Legend Acres, she and her team provide so many services for dogs and horses. She has multiple degrees related to horses, dogs, animal facilities management, etc. Look at the website : legendacresboarding.com. I strongly recommend her to dog owners here in Jackson (and elsewhere).
