They have a HUGE fenced in yard to let the dogs run which really helps them burn off energy and relax them, making for a much better boarding experience. The kennels are all recently updated, clean and bright. They are also very large. Plenty of room for my 2 dogs to move when boarded together. It is way out in the country (it was about a 25-30 minute drive out of town for me) but totally worth it! I never worried about my dogs when they were in the care of Northern Paws. This place really set the bar high when I was looking for a new boarding facility after moving to SD.
