They arrived right on time, parked a big van mobile grooming salon in my driveway and took about 90 minutes on each dog. The dogs are happy to not go into a new stressful environment and thrilled to get in and get out quickly. Paolo did a wonderful job and his calm energy worked wonders even on nervous Nelly Finnegan. I didn't have to drive across town twice to drop off and pick up. (Gas ain't cheap!) And, I had a very productive day inside while they were outside. Time is valuable! Van has a professional adjustable table, clean wash tub, and all tools neatly organized. He was very professional and explained the process to me so I felt good about the experience. A word to the wise, and it makes sense but he does close the van door when he begins the process, so be aware of that feature. He explained it was safety reasons. He also explained part of the service: Shampoo wash Thorough clean and brushing Undercoat brushing Thoroughly rinsing the coat Blow dry Last brush, and style. Just moved in the area and after my Nalu got kicked out of Pinole Pet Smart for being aggressive. The groomers there are bunch of amateurs. We've decided to look for a mobile groomer. Have been using Joao Paulo for about the last year and have nothing but great things to say about his services! He has been super helpful and great with Mochi. He always does a great job cutting his hair down because we struggle with mochis upkeep since he can be reactive and won't let us brush his hair. This last service, mochis ears were bleeding and I wasn't sure why. Joao Paulo assured us there was nothing that happened in the grooming service. After further investigation I thought it may be a hemotoma but wasn't sure how to proceed. Joao Paulo was amazing and came the next day to help us clean mochi and look at his ears and showed us he has an allergy and he is reacting because his hair is shorter now. Okay so let me give you a break down. I have a 9 month old puppy that I'm super over protective with because he's my first ever dog. I took him to a groomer before but they didn't do a good job. But then I found out about mobile grooming and Paulo's page popped up! I was a little nervous at first because I read all the reviews and he had some not so nice reviews. But then also had some amazing reviews. So I decided to book with him anyways to make my own decision. And let me tell you... BEST DECISION EVER! He was right on time! Even a few minutes early! (I saw some comments about him being late.. but come on you guys. He does mobile grooming and drives. So please be patient and be kind and think about traffic. He's trying his best). He communicated very well via text and responded right away. And told me what services he provided and for how much. For the services he provided and convenience.. the price is amazing! And yes there is a language barrier HOWEVER, he knew exactly what he was doing and pointed out what he was going to trim! The experience itself was even better I was able to leave my dog with him and hung out inside my house. Paulo seemed like a nice guy and I appreciated that he used Google Translate to help us communicate. However, he wasn't very communicative before the appointment--I had to text him for his ETA. While he did clean my granddoggy (a French Bulldog) well, her nails could've been trimmed a bit shorter. Most importantly, she got frightened during the grooming process. When he turned on the generator, she got spooked, broke off the leash, and scraped her belly after jumping down. She was visibly trembling, and so was he. I only knew that because I came outside to check on her and that's when it was clear something was wrong. A sturdier leash and more awareness around sensitive breeds would help prevent this from happening to other pets in the future. read more
