The staff is amazing with dogs and treats all of them like they are their own. The dogs are all having such a great time there. They have plenty of play areas where they get to hang out with each other. My dog gets so excited when he gets to go. I honestly have to convince him to come home with me when I get him. When he comes back he is so worn out from playing and having a good time. I feel bad I don't take him there more.

When we got there to drop them off I was told they don't have a fenced in yard for play. That they walk them twice from 8-10 and from 3-5. The website says they have raised beds. It was a thin black mat. So I left our dog beds. Which took up the whole entire inside kennel. We called on our way home from 3-5 to inform them we would be home the next morning and they never picked up the phone. My concern is did they even come back from 3-5 to let them out? I called at 7:50 am the next day to tell them we were on our way and he told me he was running late. At 8:10 he gets there. I walk in and the stench is so bad it almost knocks me over. One of my Shepard's chewed up her bed completely, which totally not in her character. The other bed made it so we took it home. It also had a terrible odor to it. So I got home and unzipped the outer cover to wash it and it was soaked through with urine. Even the inside stuffing. So not only did I pay for my dogs to be ignored, not get to run outside, and to be forced to sleep on their urine soaked bed. I also had to pay for two new dog beds. I will not be using k9academy in Henderson again for dog boarding.

We tried a different place in Evansville before finding Specialty and I got the feeling they did not like my dog and I honestly think she could tell. We went for a few weeks, but she never got over expressing anxiety and stress when I picked her up. I was really nervous about trying a new place but Cortlynn and Jen were so reassuring. We've been going to Specialty for a year and a half and it's even better than our place in NC (which was pretty darned good). She's always happy to go and never nervous or anxious when I pick her up. I also LOVE the community work Jamie does and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to that.

They have a great daycare staff, outstanding groomers, and clean facility for boarding. My dogs look forward to daycare and I look forward to their exhaustion when they come home. Either way i paid it but this place is terrible, they hurry out to bleach the area which is needed but never picked up the bags of poop( nothing to do with me) in the parking lot ! Over all the tech was nice Dog did die . I had pup 6 days. Choose wisely this place is terrible
