I have been here twice while visiting Andover/Wichita Kansas and they are do amazing work. Our dog Kora, a miniature red poodle loves coming here (unlike most places). She constantly leaves very happy. The groomers here take very good care of her and she leaves smelling amazing and they follow the notes to make sure we get what we want out of her appointment. They are also very reasonably priced and so we will continue to come here because every time she gets cut here it's like getting a brand new puppy :-)

We're now facing hundreds of dollars in vet bills that would only prolong her life by 6 months for conditions that are fully avoidable by ethical breeding. The store keeps guinea pigs in filthy, overcrowded cages that are far too small. The conditions are unacceptable and inhumane. Petco needs to take responsibility for where their animals come from and how they're treated. I would never purchase an animal from here again.

One of the customer service ladies asked if we needed help, and we told her we were looking for a low-port bit. She immediately said she knew exactly who we needed to talk to and introduced us to Kayla! Kayla was an absolute delight. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us find the remaining items we needed. What impressed me most was how much she cared about the comfort of our horse without ever even meeting him. She took the time to explain the differences between the different options, what would work best, and what would be most comfortable for him. We never felt rushed or like we were asking silly questions. Kayla is definitely the go-to person at The Mercantile for horse questions! The other team member who helped us was wonderful as well. We would absolutely recommend The Mercantile if you're looking for knowledgeable people, personal attention, and genuinely caring customer service. My dog sleeps with me and I haven't seen any fleas but he is a dog after all. But I was so irritated by that I turned around and left then drove across town to the dog wash on Douglas & Hillside which was WAY cheaper & snob-free! It only cost $5 to wash and dry my large dog.

But there was a small signs on the lawn and the side door indicated that we were indeed there. you take the stairs down to the basement upon entering, and the girl there took down my info. From the reminder call the day before my appt, I knew to come early between 7-9a to drop off my dogs. She told me that they would be ready around noon. The service i paid for was a simple bath. She also trimmed their claws and cleaned out their ears. When I picked up my girls, they smelled lightly fragrant and were so soft. I really liked how she trimmed the fur around their paws when she did their claws. All this normally costs $25, so I felt I got a good deal. I don't normally take my girls to get professionally bathed, but if I were to do this again, i would def consider coming back. Only issue for me was that it's for from home for me.
