Tried to get my mom's dog in for an appointment and the lady over the phone was a bit rude, while I do understand that they need to see proof of vaccine it does make things a bit complicated when I was hoping to get my dog seen and I let her know that I would have to try to find it. We have been to other veterinarians in the past and never needed to show proof i was excited to come here due to the location being closer to home. Unfortunately not a great first experience over the phone. read more

let me tell you about my experience. the first one was great. i felt like my puppies were treated well even with a small hiccup of nicking my oldest dog. haircuts were great and my pups seemed to do well. bring us to the next visit... took 3 weeks for my 3 to get an appointment to get shaved down. they told me i had to get the kennel cough vaccine. our vet said pick it up at tractor supply and we did...So the appointment day came and they argued that the vaccine give had to be administered by a licensed vet by state law however that was untrue as I later found out... the pups had be shaved with this 100+heat... so i said this is ridiculous but just do what it's gonna take to get their haircut. it cost me an additional $150 on top of the grooming cost. I got three calls throughout the day one was they nicked one of the pups nipples... Within minutes it was sorry we actually nicked her arm pit... Then I third Cole stating I'm sorry she's going to have to have stitches and we're going to have to sedate her. This pup weighs 6.3 pounds and is nine years old , I can't understand that you were so rough with her that you didn't see that she was bleeding. She is white overall with black spots. after the sedation my husband went to pick them up at 4 o'clock. We were not only charged $150 for the vaccines but we were charged for all three dogs to be groomed. Then they made an appointment for a return so she can get her stitch it out , and I'm assuming that we were going to be paying for the sticker removal. sad part of the story is they were still very insistent that this vaccine had to be administered by a licensed vet. My husband had already found out that that was untrue statement. He made the analogy to the general manager. How would she feel if somebody cut her kids ear while they were cutting their hair. Would she still pay for it? Would she bring her kid back? Little did they do to make the situation right other than I'm sorry it's our policy. I spoke with the general manager today and they did refund the Grooming charge of $50. However it doesn't help the fact that $150 were into for shots that we didn't even need because they had already had the Bordetella vaccine two weeks before hand. I think it's a sad place that people think it's OK to rip you off and think nothing of it and then cut your dog and don't offer to discount anything at that point. While it took me calling, all I can say is they won't go back there the job that was done was not that great anyway. I'm very disappointed that money comes before other things. read more

took my 5 pound chihuahua for grooming he has the typical feathered tail, then I picked him up and the groomer took it upon herself to chop off his tail into a blunt tail, so after that I told them to never trim or cut his tail again, took him in for his next grooming and told them again not to touch his tail they insured me they wouldn't had notes not to trim his tail, well low and behold went to pick him up and his tail was trimmed again so I questioned it and Sarah tried to tell me his tail hadn't been trimmed which I said well some one trimmed his tail and she argued they had not, needless to say I will go back but Sarah will not be his groomer any longer. I wish I had raised cane the first time she chopped his tail off. From now on will take a picture of his tail the day of grooming in case this happens again. Giving a 2 star only because of this particular groomer. read more

I LOVE Pet Vet. Doctor Kim is the Best. She may be busy. However, your fur baby is her top priority when she is in the room with you. She never rushes in and rushes out. She makes you feel like she genuinely cares about your fur baby. I really appreciate that about her. The staff is very friendly and seems to love their job and your fur baby as well. I have taken my fur baby to the groomers and have never been disappointed. I do not believe you will be disappointed with the Doctors, Staff or the Groomers at Pet Vet. A Special note...Because the doctors give each fur baby that personal one on one care, sometimes you might have to wait just a little past your appt time. The Vet on dutY was very informative and I really was impressed with the staff! Super nice people! The location was very sketchy. As I was walking to my car with my two dogs, a Man and Woman started yelling at me from their car and cursing because I apparently wasn't watching where I was going. He turned at the light and made another trip around to the parking lot just to get out of his car and started walking towards me. I grabbed my phone and took his picture. I brought my dog in at 9am and requested her be done by 3 they said they would have her done by then. I arrived early because I was over in the area and they had just started on my dog at 2:30. Every time I have taken my dog to a groomer she is done within 2-3 hours max. They were rude to me when I asked if they would be done soon and one of the other groomers yelled at me because I said hello to my dog when they weren't doing anything to her. She is a very mellow dog and they had her in a cage. She has NEVER bit a person or been agressive and they are treating her horribly. The employees in the vet and the supply areas are nice but if I could report the groomers I would. The complaint inhave on the vet side is i was charged for the 3 year rabies but the tag said 1 and they got it corrected. Prices are good when you hit a sale. They do not honor military. As far as the grooming goes. I requested her to have a teddy bear face and short all over, leave the tail long and the ears long both trimmed up. read more

Ive been taking both my dogs here for grooming and vet care for about two years now. They do a great job! My girls love the groomers and they come home looking and smelling great. Now I buy their food and treats there too. If you catch a sale you can get flea meds for half price. The only complaint I have is that they close too early on week days. The store at least should stay open til at least seven but instead it closes at 5:30. So it's closer by the time I get off work. It makes it inconvenient to go get dog food sometimes. read more

So I made an appointment for my 17 year old cat for her yearly checkup, vaccines & bloodwork. Appointment was on Saturday, January 9th at 10:30 am, this was our first time there. We were there for 1 & 1/2 hours, they wouldn't let me in the room with my cat because of Covid (now an over used excuse for everything). Then today, got an email telling me that my cat's vaccines are due. What the hell??? We were there a few days ago for annual checkup & spent $260.00. Checked my invoice from them, shows all they did was bloodwork. No wellness checkup, no vaccines! Why would I make separate appointments? So I can make multiple trips, waste time & money ? WORST VET CLINIC EVER. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME, FIND A REAL VET CLINIC! read more

I took my dog to pet vet initially for annual vaccinations and I really liked Dr Kim. A year later I returned for more vaccines and also for a tooth cleaning. The lady I dropped my dog of with said that they will call when she is ready. So later that day I got a call at 445 pm and was told if I don't come pick my dog in the next 15 minutes that they would charge me for an over night stay. I explained the situation and the lady didn't seem to care at all. I made it just in time and wasn't charged for an over night stay. BUT my dog had a horrible bruise on her neck (see pictures). My dog is a little 4lb chihuahua, who isn't aggressive so where this bruise came from, I don't know. What I do know is that I do not trust vet and you shouldn't either. read more

Absolutely amazing place, right close to the base and staff is always friendly. Well except for one person but other than that I recommend this place 100%. Very knowledgeable about their products, one of few stores that carry the dog food that we use "taste of the wild" and their treat bar is absolutely amazing. Grooming department is extremely unprofessional and rude. There have been times where I was dropping off or picking up where no one acknowledge me. I waited 2 weeks for an appointment for them to give it away because I was not there by 9am. I have been going to this groomer for over 2 years with 4 dogs which is a lot of money. They have taken my dogs when it was a little past 9am in the past. If they were concerned about me not coming they could have called first which they didn't. I will not be back. I found a new groomer. I'm told not the first to come from pet vet due to crappy service from the groomers. read more

On Sunday I adopted a puppy from the local shelter, by that evening he was starting to develop a cough. As part of the adoption paperwork, I found a list of local vets offices that provide a free "well puppy" visit as a community service. Pet Vet was close to our home, and even though we already have a great veterinarian, (free is free), so we thought we would take a chance. First impression was good, the staff made a big fuss over how cute our puppy was, and the Doctor seemed friendly. We told the doctor about our pup and where he came from, and we explained his symptoms. She gave him a quick "once over" and said she thought his cough was "nothing to worry about", and recommended that we perhaps took him to the bathroom with us, so he could breath a little steam while we showered. "Nothing a all to worry about", she said. Three days later, since the cough had not improved, we went to our normal vet, the diagnosis, very serious viral pneumonia. I will never set foot in Pet Vet again. And I would discourage anyone else from doing so, no matter what the price... For the good of your pet. read more

I've used them for years and recommended them to multiple people, however I just adopted a dog from the shelter and took him here to get his check up. They told me he needed some random vaccine that has never been mentioned to me before, despite having brought multiple dogs in before, but I trusted the vet and agreed to this. I called back a few days later to ask what the shot was (because the dog is getting really sick so we are taking him to a real vet and I needed his shot records) and the receptionist did not know which shot was given to him she had told me he had the Bordetella shot however he got that at the pound so when I called back to verify that he had gotten yet another Bordetella shot she stuttered, pause for a minute, and then said the dates on his shot record must be incorrect and that she thinks he got the distemper shot however after looking for a few minutes she kind of didn't know and decided that he must have gotten a distemper shot. I trusted this vet with my animals, but they are so organized and don't even know which vaccine they gave him, it took my boyfriend calling and cussing them out for a manager to get on the phone and figure out which vaccine my pet was given. they then asked if we wanted to come back for a check up as if we would take a dog back to a vet that doesn't keep clear track of medicine. I do not recommend this vet at all. The new employees are untrained and uneducated. Stay away. read more

I truly love this place. The staff and the vet (we see Dr. Fruitt) are so great with my cat. I used them when I lived in Midwest City and now that I live near Edmond I still make the drive. They are kind, gentle, patient and always answer all my questions. They also have a reward program that helps me save money on other items or services. Everyone is super nice but they are extremely understaffed. When you call the veterinarian's office to make an appointment for a procedure, you are given a date weeks out, sometimes two to three months out. However, you can call one of the 5-star rated veterinarians in MWC and be seen within the same week. The last time I called the grooming department to makes an appointment, they had no available appointments for four weeks. I called one of the other local groomers and was able to get in that day. Not to mention, hey are one of the most expensive places to go in Midwest City. I have paid less at other veterinarians for the same procedure, less at other groomers and they do as good a job, and the dog food I was buying at Pet-Vet is exactly half the price at other animal supply stores. A+ for friendliness, C- for availability, F for prices. read more

I take all four of my dogs here for their vaccinations and medical care. They have all received great care, including my 7 year old Jack Russell who recently had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. The cost was very reasonable. I also have their grooming done here, and I buy the bags of dog food here as well. The cost is in line with or lower than the larger pet stores. I took an out of town trip and used their boarding services, which cost $14 per night, per dog. Great value! I highly recommend. read more

If I could leave fewer than one stars I would! We used to bring all of our animals here. Dogs, puppies, etc. The last time we boarded our Poodle, we left her for 12 days with the agreement that she would be groomed during this time. On our way home we got a message that she was scheduled for the day after our return. We took her back to be groomed and when we picked her up she was shaved to the skin in over 10 spots, my mom was griped at for her being "to energetic and not exercised enough prior to grooming"... she had been IN THEIR FACILITY so if she wasn't exercised enough that was their fault!! The next evening about 4:45 my (elderly) mom gets a phone call that they gave her the wrong leash and it needed to be returned immediately. My mom agreed to bring it up the next day since it was currently storming. She was told that would be un-acceptable, that it had to be returned before closing that day. Of course, my mom being non-confrontational, got out in the storm to take them the leash. She got there, they opened the door, jerked the leash from her hands and slammed the door in her face. No apology, no thank you, nothing. I would never willingly trust them to care for any of my pets or have any type of good customer service! DO NOT TRUST YOUR PETS TO THEIR CARE!!! read more
