I wanted to update my review. After I had posted my original review, I'm guessing the staff saw it and gave us a call. They realized they gave us the incorrect urn and said they were ordering the correct one for us and would call us when it came in. If I remember correctly, it was only a few days to less than a week for the new one to come in. They called us and let us know it was there. We went the next day to pick it up and they transferred our baby boys remains into the new one. And let us keep the first urn we were given. I really do appreciate all of this. The acknowledgement of my review, ordering the correct urn and transferring my boy. I honestly was not expecting any of this. I did mention the incorrect urn in my original review but I was totally fine with just keeping it and getting the matching one to my other 2 at a later date. I know things happen and was not mad or blaming the business at all. But them handling this situation showed me that they are a caring veterinarian office and pay attention to feedback. Some places wouldn't respond or blame the customer for any kind of issues. I feel that this vets office is honest and cares about their patients and their families. It was nothing major but they treated us well. Just like my first review said, I would definitely come back for future care of my 3 remaining dogs at home. I still stand by this and have also already recommend them to a few people looking for a vet in the area.

I've been coming to PetCare for a few years now, and they have been good for all of our pets! We have 2 cats and 2 bunnies and this was the only place I can find that sees all different kinds of animals. Our first experience was with our cat that end up having a UTI and he had surgery. He was in so much pain and he stayed over for 2 nights. Dr. Igoe and staff took great care of him. My cat and both bunnies got neutered at PetCare and I was impressed how much they cared. They called to check in and made sure they were good. Dr. McRoberts saw all for of my pets and has taken good care of them all these years. She is the Vet for for rabbits. All the staff there have been friendly and helpful. I would recommend this clinic especially if you have exotic pets. One Stop shop for me!

    Our beautiful fur babies

Our fur babies have been going to PetCare on Douglas for over 4 years. It used to be great, but over the past 18 mos - 2 years, customer service has been steadily declining. Several weeks ago, I called multiple times, but no one answered. I left 2 voicemails that week. No one returned my calls or voicemails. Even sent an email. I was upset because one of our three cats needs to be seen (non-emergency). Also our oldest cat, 15, is on Gabapentin for pain and is out of her med. I called last Thursday or Friday again, several times. Someone finally answered but put me on hold for 12 minutes!! I hung up, called back - she said may I put you on hold? I said No! I started to explain that I've been on hold for over 10 minutes!! She cut me off immediately and put me on hold again. The 3rd call - a woman (Phyllis?), who said she's the office manager, answered. All she did was talk over me too!! I tried to say I need my cats med - she was extremely rude. When I said they were being rude, she hung up on me!!! Dr LeAnne and the techs are great. Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! Looking for new vet!!!

    Waiting for the doctor.

He is compassionate, thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients. I've also had good experiences with one or two staff members, but unfortunately my interactions with much of the rest of the staff have been disappointing. My dog, Bodhi, had surgery at RAMC in July 2025 to remove several lumps. During surgery, Dr. Singh found another lump within the same incision site, removed it, and didn't charge me for the additional removal. I truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and care. At Bodhi's bandage removal appointment, a younger male technician handled the visit. I asked to stay with my dog, and he agreed. The bandage was adhered tightly, and although he initially used adhesive remover, he quickly became impatient and began ripping the bandage off. Bodhi was clearly uncomfortable, and I left wondering how he would have been treated if I hadn't been present. I returned in September 2025 for another FNA, and once again Dr. Singh was excellent. In early June, Bodhi needed another FNA. Because of my previous experience, I requested that the same technician not handle my dog. Dr. Singh understood my concerns and was very reassuring. A week later, Bodhi was diagnosed with lymphoma. After discussing my options, I initially considered less invasive treatment before deciding on palliative care. Dr. Singh had advised me to stop Apoquel because lymphoma was suspected, so Bodhi spent nearly two weeks suffering from severe itching while I weighed my options. I contacted the office to ask about Laverdia, an oral chemotherapy medication. I was told they had spoken with Dr. Singh, ordered the medication, and would contact me when it arrived. They also recommended seeing an oncologist, which was difficult because appointments and callbacks took several days. I never received a follow-up. After six days, I reached back out because I had no choice but to start Bodhi on prednisone due to his worsening itching and enlarging lymph nodes. In that same email, I also requested refills for his prednisone and gabapentin since I was only given a 22 day supply. Again, I received no response. Maybe they eventually would have answered if I had continued calling or emailing, but by then I had lost confidence in the staff. I was left wondering whether I would have made different treatment decisions had someone simply followed through with the communication they promised. Aside from one longtime veterinary technician, I also found the front desk staff to be cold during one of the hardest moments of my life. I wasn't expecting sympathy, but a few kind words would have meant a great deal. Dr. Singh is the reason this review is three stars instead of one. He treated Bodhi with compassion and treated me with empathy throughout this difficult process. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through from the rest of the staff overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this one was important. When a family is facing the loss of a beloved pet, timely communication matters. I hope this feedback encourages RAMC to improve so other families don't experience the same frustration during such a difficult time.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS VET…read more On April 12th we took our dog in to an emergency appointment and it was the worst mistake we could have made. Our dog was experiencing pain on one of her hind legs. After $1200, she was misdiagnosed with a partial ligament tear, was given anti-inflammatory meds and we went off with a plan to return on April 17th for follow up blood work as her CBC (WBC) were dangerously low. On Wednesday, April 15 my dog began vomiting and having bloody diarrhea, I contacted Dry Creek the next day to give them an update and was told to monitor and keep the planned appointment for April 17th. On April 17th we went back and my dog was experiencing a very high fever, I told them I didn't want to continue to give her the carprofen because I think that's what caused the upset stomach, I had last administered it on Thursday April 16th. Dr Lehil agreed and changed her anti-inflammatory meds, and prescribed other meds (antibiotics). Kept our dog for the day and released her that evening after she was showing no signs of a fever. During the weekend my dog stopped eating and drinking water and we were to return on Monday, April 20th for yet another follow-up. At that time my dog had a fever again, and we were told we could keep her there or take her to another vet - that's when I should have ran but because they knew what was going on with my dog, had administered bloodwork, etc we kept her there for the day. At 5 pm when we picked her up my dog still had a fever and we were told it was because she was excited while she was kenneled. The Dr (a different vet) told me to take her off of the anti-inflammatory and put her on a strict bland diet. They also prescribed more meds that I never gave my dog because I was petrified of how my dog would react to yet more medication. We took her home and by 7 pm I was rushing her to VCA Loomis for an emergency. My dog became unstable and began breathing rapidly and her fever had increased, in addition I noticed her paw was injured while at Dry Creek earlier that day. VCA Loomis did an ultrasound and when I shared with the vet that they changed out her anti-inflammatory pills from one day to the next she became concerned that my dog may have developed an ulcer as it is recommended that at least 5 days pass before a new anti-inflammatory is administered. In fact, the ultrasound determined my dog had quite a bit of inflammation to her GI system. In addition, the vet at VCA Loomis told me my dog had a complete tear of the ligament and not partial as we had previously been told by Dr. Lehil. I called Dry Creek asking to talk to the owner or office manager and they never called, I went in 2 weeks later and was told the owner would call me. She called the next day and basically said they did what was recommended, didn't take responsibility for any of it and put it on me saying I had the option of taking her to VCA Loomis. All in all, we spent close to $3500 at Dry Creek and my dog's health only deteriorated. If it weren't for VCA Loomis we may have lost her.

Which is I know is different if one place is hectic. Employees will be irritated but if you choose this high stress job. You will have to deal with drama that comes with it. This place was not the same in every single details to the previous ER vet we were at. Air in the reception area flow well throughout. No claustrophobic atmosphere. Very courteously warm in etiquette and proper addressing to their clients. Very pleasant in all. We got called to go to a room which wasn't too long before we see anyone. The vet tech came in took our girl to assess and the vet came in not too long after to let us know that she have a small puncture wound but nothing else more. Due to it being in such an awful area. Doing anything more will only make it worse. So she cleaned the wounds and will prescribe an antibiotics to help so it doesn't get infected and also a pain meds clavamox to help to keep her comfortable. The quickest easiest vet visit EVER HAVE! As an experienced Great Dane owner I was worried about possible bloat which is life threatening. Bloat is diagnosed with a X-ray to see if thier stomach has flipped. A tech came into the lobby, took one quick look at him, and said, "He looks fine," then told me I'd have to wait because the other tech wouldn't arrive until 9:00. When you're dealing with a giant breed puppy showing symptoms that can be life threatening, that kind of dismissal is extremely unsettling. After waiting, we did see the veterinarian. She was kind, professional, and explained the next steps clearly. Later in the day I was called to pick him up and was told he just had a very upset stomach and needed to start prescription dog food. However, no one not the tech or the front desk provided any information about how to obtain the prescription food. No written prescription, no instructions, nothing. I had to call my personal vet, who explained that I needed a written prescription and that the food had to be purchased at PetSmart. This is basic discharge information that should have been provided. Overall, the veterinarian was great, but the tech staff's communication and the discharge process were frustrating and disappointing.

The reviews here seem to be glowingly positive and I wanted to support a local business. Sadly, I was greatly disappointed. My concerns and reason for visit were consistently not taken seriously. For example, when I brought my pet in with upper respiratory issues, I was told "it's not that bad." Well, if ignored, it is actually /is/ that bad. Repeatedly, I sensed a hesitancy to treat my pets' issues proactively, and found the bedside manner here to be sorely lacking. I brought in my pet with symptoms consistent with an upper respiratory infection. Instead of any antibiotics, I was prescribed steroids and an inhaler, which were consistently ineffective. Unfortunately, I allowed this to go on for far too long at this vet and should have listened to my instincts. Three months into this treatment (still without antibiotics), I was told that since my pet didn't respond to steroids, "it's probably cancer" and told to get in with a specialist asap (and that it would be many thousands of dollars). I'll admit I do not have a PhD, but this doesn't seem like very scientific diagnostic criteria to leap to cancer. I fully acknowledge that the realm of veterinary medicine is vast and we still don't know that much about the body in the grand scheme of things, but being consistently ignored and then leaping directly to cancer seems like a stretch. I sought a second opinion at my previous vet, who agreed that leaping to cancer without diagnostics was kind of cruel to my mental health. They promptly issued antibiotics. I also scheduled an appointment with internal medicine elsewhere out of fear from hearing the "cancer" word thrown around. Sure enough, there was a bacterial infection that should have been treated with antibiotics. Due to the delays and not prescribing an antibiotic, the bacterial infection was allowed to go on far too long, resulting in bony destruction. Despite the vet claiming I needed to urgently get my pet in with internal medicine, we still experienced lengthy delays getting copies of my pet's medical records--unfortunately, many internal medicine specialists will not schedule an appointment with you until they've received the records from the prior vet, which just led to further delays. The poor communication, poor attitude, and poor bedside manner further tanked my opinion of my experiences here. Dropping the "cancer" bomb on me with no diagnostics--rude and poorly handled, honestly. I also felt like there was a consistent attitude against me wanting to see the pricing before agreeing to treatment. It should be noted that I agreed to the treatments, however, we all know that in the veterinary and medical world, sometimes there's sticker shock when you see the price. I'd prefer transparency. Asking to see the pricing before committing to expensive treatment seemed to earn quite a few huffs and puffs from staff and the doctor. Overall, my biggest lesson learned here is to get a second opinion, particularly when the symptoms are downplayed for far too long and then the diagnosis suddenly leaps from "asthma" to "cancer." Trust your gut. This is just one example (definitely the most expensive) of my experiences here, but they were consistent enough for me to feel that this was a pattern.

When I arrived at the vet, I was greeted by a receptionist who seemed overwhelmed as she was dealing with an angry customer over the phone and a full waiting room. As I sit there waiting patiently, I noticed a few ticks crawling around the waiting area after which I picked my dog up off the ground. VERY unsanitary. When it finally came down to checking in, I was told that I "called in to cancel" my appointment which I clearly did not do as evidenced by my presence and my taking time off to make it to my dogs appointment. They were unwilling to fill my appointment in a timely manner and had given me an option to reschedule. This place is obviously overbooked, understaffed, and impersonal, all of which screams production line $$$$. Based on the sanitation, unprofessionalism, and inability to make up for their staff errors, I would not recommend this place. You are better off going to a place with more personal, courteous care.

In December, my sweet 7-year-old Golden, Addie, was diagnosed with severe pulmonary edema by her primary vet. This hit us out of nowhere because, despite being so sick, she, being the sweet girl that she was, was still doing everything she could to please us and love on us. Even though it was Christmas time and they were very busy, we were able to schedule an appointment with Marqueen for the next day (Christmas Eve) to see if we could pull some of the fluid off and make things easier for her. We were hoping to have some time. During her initial exam, she was all loves and tail wags for the tech and the vet. She didn't act like she was super ill. Typical Addie. She only wanted to love on her new friends. Dr. McDonald pulled her back for a scan and a more thorough check. When she brought her back in, by the look on her face, I just knew. She had to give me the news that Addie was decompensating and was in the process of dying. We likely had hours. Despite her tail wags and eager disposition, her body was giving out on her. We discussed our options, and we decided together to let her go peacefully before she really started to struggle. Dr. McDonald and the Marqueen team allowed me to go home quickly to get our other dog, my husband, and our daughter so everyone could say goodbye. They watched over her while I was gone. Upon our return, they allowed us all the time we needed to love on her just as she had loved on us for seven years. When it was time, I laid down on the floor, big-spooned my sweet girl, and told her how much we loved her. I thanked her for being the amazing girl that she was. Dr. McDonald walked us through the entire process. She had a calm voice and was so soothing to us, and to Addie. We were allowed to spend as much time as we needed with her after she passed. Not once did we feel rushed. We were even able to bring our other dog in to say goodbye. While it was an absolutely devastating time, I can't say enough about the compassion that the Marqueen staff provided to us that day. I was able to leave knowing we made the best decision for our Addie girl, and that her passing was as smooth and peaceful as we could provide. Thank you, Dr. McDonald. I hope you see this, because I have thought of you so much since that day and truly appreciate how warm and kind you were. Thank you for being so... human. Addie was an amazing girl, and she deserved to have a vet just as amazing to help her through her final steps toward the rainbow bridge.

Yesterday, MarQueen pet hospital gave me one of the most amazing veterinary experiences I've ever…read morehad in my entire life. My wonderful companion of 14 years (Charlie my standard poodle) had to be put down as his health was failing every day and I have waited too long in the past to have my animals puts to sleep. Waiting too long and trying extending their life can be a terrible, tragic, and unnerving mistake.... a mistake that I have made twice in the past. Trying to hang on past their due date was not good for me or my amazing animals. The front desk was managed by Tyler... I could feel his compassion as soon as I had finished the first sentence that I spoke to him. I had a very short wait time after I called . Tyler said "that I could come in anytime" and to "give them a 30 minute notice so that they could prepare a room for me." Tyler knew who I was the moment I walked in and immediately escorted me to a large, comfortable, private room where I loved my "puppy" goodbye. (If you must do this, I suggest staying with your beloved pet through the entire process. The hurt you feel at that time will not be as great as the guilt that you will feel if you hand your baby off and just walk away.) The empathy expressed by the entire McQueen staff was above and beyond anything I had expected. I walked in with my dog on a leash and walked out with a collar and a leash. The respect and mannerisms of the MarQueen staff made that much more tolerable. If you're looking for a veterinarian- please look no further. I promise you, I've done the research for you. Sincerely, Bob@SurfandSkate.com

It was during 2020 (Covid) I was looking for a new veterinary. I was in the second row, in my car,…read morewaiting for the Veterinary doctor to come to my car. I had my two Persian kitties Sassette (my little girl ) and Dante, my little guy (brother and sister which I've had them since they were three months old... they were nine years old then! He, was talking to the car in front of me that had a dog in the car and I was listening to him. He was so compassionate, caring, and thoughtful...That I thought WOW...I found my kitties new doctor so I made an appointment... Turns out his name was Dr. Foster and I have been going there for the past six years. He is probably the best Veterinarian doctor I have ever met. I also see Doctor Mulliken, who my kitty's also saw she is great too!!! The front office Mary, Laura, Stevie, and Rachel (I believe the office manager) are all wonderful. Ben, T.K they are the doctors assistance are kind and wonderful... Everyone there is professional, kind, and so supportive and wonderful! December 2025, my little guy Dante (14 then) had kidney problems and we had to be put him to sleep. It was so very painful beyond words for me, and my son and yet when we got there, they had an office set up in the back room with the lights, dimmed and soft music and they treated HIM so kind! We had Dante cremated, and Dr. Foster recommended a place which were wonderful. I keep his picture and the lovely box he's in, in front of me and think of him every day with wonderful memories! In May of this year 2026, my little girl Sassette got sick and it was thought that she had a cold or the flu. For a week and a half she did not eat all she did just drink water and it had to be out of the sink because she couldn't put her head down to get to the water in the water bowl. She was given an antibiotic and after a few days, Dr. Foster saw her and determined that whatever she was given, it was not working, and he changed her to a different antibiotic and then still for another week and a half she didn't eat, but every day we took her to see them as he wanted her to have water and liquids in her. The last week it was kind of determined if she didn't make it and start eating, she wouldn't make it and she would die... But then on Thursday (about a week and a half later) she started eating I was beyond grief, beyond worrying, watching her lay in her comfy bed and watching her what I thought that she was dying ...so scared and so sad to watch my little girl laying there dying in front of me... she had gone from 6 pounds to 4.2 pounds! She was skin and bones! But then, a miracle...she started eating (after not eating for again almost a week and a half) so whatever Dr. Foster did he SAVED her LIFE!!!Beyond words!!! Thank God!!! I am so indebted to him and to his staff all of them for helping her and me through this PAINFUL process!!! Their kindness and caring helped me through again this difficult time for me and for my SASSETTE! So I am recommending to anyone that is reading this. What a wonderful doctor, "Dr. Foster" is and everyone else there....a wonderful and caring staff. I remain so indebted to all of them, but again, especially to Dr. Foster... God bless! To all the amazing people at Douglas Vet, Abby and I want to…read morethank each of you for the love and kindness you showed our beloved Kit Kat. Making this decision was one of the hardest moments of our lives. We had always planned to have someone come to our home, but because of the bond Kit Kat had with Dr. Foster, we knew she would feel at peace with him -- and so did we. Your entire staff has always been so kind. Before finding Dr. Foster, we visited several veterinarians (including UC Davis) and never felt truly cared for until we met him. Our hearts were broken, but Dr Foster's compassion made this experience easier. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love, Lauren and Abby
