Absolute RAVE to Emma & Parker in grooming! I called to schedule a puppy bath & they got me in within the hour. They took great care of my pug puppy & he wasn't even scared when we left, he was still so full of energy and happy. I highly recommend Emma and Parker. I had an interaction with Megan looking for help over the phone when I was sick with covid- condescending rude and I said to her you have made my experience awful- and I hung up. I don't cuss I don't get nasty - I did order online and went to the store trying to protect the public and called to say I was outside - Megan answers and asked if I was the one who hung up And I said I was I had ordered off line and needed someone to deliver to the car- she said good luck with that and hung up on me. Thankfully Rick was working when I called right back and he was so apologetic and so kind - I told him I would call corporate and write this review - I know it's hard to find people who want to work right now- but to find people In a place I've only experienced the sweetest kindest people that absolutely hates her job - that was tough. Went in for dog food (blue buffalo dog food) and crickets for my beardie. At checkout I noticed other patrons were using coupons for 30% off that were on the counter. I handed the cashier one and the cashier said "this is for pet SUPPLIES only" (see attachment) the coupon clearly states it's for dog food supplies etc...a coworker had told cashier that the cashiers students were there so I guess they were in a rush. I hate to give bad reviews but just had to comment on the poor service/management at Petco in Cheyenne. I scheduled a grooming appointment weeks ago. I have been getting texts from them almost daily confirming that my appointment is still on. I even got a text at 9:03 this morning, that said...PETCO: Looking forward to seeing you today at 11:45 MDT at Cheyenne! So,I got their a little before 11:45 and the grooming center was dark and an employee came over to tell me that they had lost all of their groomers a couple of weeks ago. Hmmm...they just send me a text at 9:03 AM, this morning. This is the second time that they have cancelled my appointment without telling me and let me take time off work again to bring my dog over, to just have to take her back home. How do you stay in business with this kind of lack of consideration for people's time? read more

I have had numerous dog groomed at the Dell Range Petco. They have all been Aussies or Border Collies. My dog always are returned to me happy, healthy, beautiful and smelling fantastic. I have read the other reviews on here, and I truly believe that they are unfair. It is a shame that our world is filled with so many unhappy people. read more

We called a few days earlier to see if we could schedule an appointment for our puppy's first nail trim and they said we could walk in anytime and it'd be free since it's our first time. Today we walked in and Thomas greeted us at the groomer's desk and he asked if we wanted him to take our puppy to the groomer's table or if we wanted to hold her while he clipped her nails. We held her and surprisingly our puppy wasn't freaking out and he was so nice to her and got the job done fast. The only con about this store is that there's usually only one register open (maybe 2 on weekends) so there's usually a line. read more

I thought I was getting a great deal with 5 black neon tetra for $5. Turns out they had ICK (I use "had" because they all died) and now my entire tank is infected. I've gone to many petco's over the years and this one is by far the worst. They have no clue what they are doing. I bought two beautiful parakeets from them and within the month both ended up dying from bacterial infection, when I called they had the audacity to say "sorry you got two birds from our sick batch" why couldn't they have told me that when I bought them?! I'm infuriated I had to pay for vet visits because I knew the signs and took them right away. This store is an absolute disaster! Management needs to be completely changed from the top down. The top manager can't seem to read - calls in people to interview for positions that they didn't apply for. Takes forever to refer you to correct manager. That interview is over the phone. They tell you that you are hired, but then take almost two months to communicate with you and do actual paperwork. If you try to call during that time, they hang up the phone and won't talk to you. So if you really need a job and are anxious to jump in, take a vacation first because you will have the time and you will need it for your nerves. All of the top managers are friends and they are friends with regular staff. If you are unlucky enough to make a mistake due to faulty training, don't count on anything you said to be confidential. It will be shared with the regular staff friends. If you ask for feedback about your performance so you can keep improving your work skills, you get a flat, "you're doing really well." However, you could be called in and fired the very next day for something. If you decide to defend yourself, but they have decided that they don't want you to stay, they will either try to bully you into quitting or nitpick you to death until you just say, "enough!" One of the newest managers is so busy trying to be liked that she can't do her job as a manager (probably because she was promoted from the regular staff group). She is not truthful and cannot seem to keep confidential employee information to herself. The top manager either doesn't realize this or is in with it because that's how they fire people when they don't have a real reason. They enforce store policy on whomever they don't want to stick around, but are completely lax on somebody they like. However, like I stated earlier - it doesn't matter what kind of job you do, if they don't want you - they will get rid of you. In closing, if you want a good job with good management - don't go to Petco here in Cheyenne. They can't pass muster!! read more

If you want a Green Tree Python with stuck shed and dry skin or a Redtail Boa close to death then this Petco is the place to go! Their ball pythons are over priced. Youll spend 299 on a normal or a pastel ball python that's only worth 45 dollars. They take advantage of people who don't know anything about reptiles. Oh also their reptile expert (at lest the one a couple moths ago could have changed) also doesn't know anything about snakes. He asked me if a ball python was a reticulated python . Had a grooming appt for Saturday April 2 at 11:30, they called at 9am & cancelled because the groomer didn't come in so they were short staffed. They rescheduled me for today Sunday April 3rd at the same time, I informed the man that I am just visiting for the wknd. Today (Sunday) at 9am, another gentlemen called me & again cancelled my appt due to staffing shortages. I get it, I really do, but 2 days in a row?! Unacceptable. He said he was trying to rectify the situation to which I told him that I explained yesterday that I am just visiting for the wknd so at this point after 2 cancellations 2 days in a row the best way to rectify this would be a coupon for a free groom to my email. He said he would talk to his general manager, I said I'm not waiting for that & he hung up on me. I called back 3x, he wouldn't answer. I called corporate to file my formal complaint, the gentleman at corporate called 3x & the store wouldn't answer for him, either. The absolute most unprofessional encounter EVER. read more

If I could give this less than one star I would! Two days ago we went in with our 2 bichons to get them groomed. Our appointment was set for 3:00 pm today. We are traveling through Cheyenne so waiting for 2 days already put us on a tight schedule. We had to make an appointment with a vet to update their rabies shots before today which cost us $80.00. At 2:35 today when we were on our way I get a phone call that they have to reschedule because of a family emergency...they already put us off 2 days! They wanted to reschedule on Saturday which doesn't work for us. We cancelled the appointment and after reading some of these reviews I'm glad we did! Not sure I would trust them with my pups! The worst part is we will be traveling again and really needed to get them done, but i'm not sure there is any place in Cheyenne I would trust! I used to be a loyal member, after last night I will never return. I went for dog food and when I went back one aisle was blocked by 2 workers giggling and a cart. I went down one aisle and tried to turn right ( I had a cart) that area at the end had a cart with food that was not passable, backed up, and the aisle to the right was blocked by a cart the next aisle was the one by the fish had a cart right in the middle with a worker and people around it so I could not get down that aisle. went back to go back up the aisle I had come down and one of the giggling girls was coming down that aisle with a cart loaded with boxes. Granted my 60-100 dollars a month in dog food is not what keeps the store open, but the only time I was offered help was when I complained to the manager. I was using Pet Co to keep business here in Cheyenne, but after my experience last night Chewy.com will now receive my business. read more

I only go to this Petco because we don't have another pet shop here in our growing city. You can never find anybody if you need help, like for some crickets, (their plastic boxed ones are always dead). Most of the time they only have one register going like today, 3 people in front of me, 2 behind me, and then the girl at the register doesn't call for help or show any urgency to speed up. She was moving like she was bored or didn't want to be there. I really hate going in there for anything. We desperately need a Petsmart to come to town, or another pet supply chain. read more

Worst dog grooming ever - we asked for a bath and brushing for our Yorkie Poodle. They didn't even bath him .... This is the second time we've taken him and both times this was the case. I'll never take him back. What a waste of money. read more
