I told Alli the ultimate goal would be to take Bailey to work with me each day so she could be enjoyed by the people I work with and work for. But, I'd be happy w just being able to go for a pleasant walk. Alli assured me the best thing for Bailey would be her group class. I was very hesitant (because I didn't want Bailey to bite another dog) but, wanted to give Bailey more freedom and have a more relaxed life w her, so I decided to trust Alli's recommendation and give the class a shot. Bailey was so scared during the first 20 mins of our first class, by the end of that very first class, she was so engaged and excited to please me. She has loved every minute of Alli's class. About 20 other dog owners go to the class I attend w my dog, and I know Alli has 3 other group classes she teaches during the week. It's been fun and AMAZING to see the progress in all of the dogs that come to class week over week. The owners seem happier w their pets, the dogs are calmer and you can see all the personalities emerging as the stress of bad behavior is gone. We have done 6 weeks of classes and have 3 more to go. I felt like I got my money's worth out of the instruction after week 2. I have no doubt that Bailey will be showing up to work with me very soon. Alli really knows her stuff. It's obvious she loves animals and is on a mission to make dog and human lives better. 10/10 recommend Alli for your dog training needs.

PLEASE READ ! if I could give a zero I would!…read more My husband and I trusted this place when we kenneled out dog for about a full 5 days. She was healthy and happy when we dropped her off. When we picked her up, that was not the case. she was lethargic when we picked her up but we thought maybe she was just tired and was decompressing from the stay, but she did have a little bit of weez to her breathing. The following day she had a full on cough (still does) and a confirmed case of kennel cough. I called the kennel and spoke to someone named Kelsey and told her what was going on and she said that the owners were out of town but they would call me the following day. I had to call back three times to finally get a callback from the owners. The only concern from the owner was that I did not leave a bad review for them because I would be putting his business and his employee's jobs in jeopardy. He did not offer to compensate her stay, he did not offer to help with the vet bill, and was not even apologetic about our dog being so sick. They had to have known she was sick and when I spoke to Kelsey, she said that she could not confirm or deny if any other dog had came down with kennel cough during the same time that she was staying there so they aren't even telling other pet parents that kennel cough is going around at their kennel!!!!. To top it off, not only did they not tell us she was showing signs of kennel cough, we brought her home where she was reunited with her 13-year-old "sister" If we would've known she was sick we could have kept them separate and prevented the spread of kennel cough in our own home. After this experience, I did some digging and not too long ago they lost a dog, and it has never been found! Please think twice before you use this facility! NEVER AGAIN!

We honestly weren't sure if we were equipped to keep him since we didn't have any experience training a dog with fearful/aggressive behaviors, but we decided to meet with a trainer. Vanessa was really clear and straightforward with us from the start about what we could expect from training. She's been an amazing teacher-- we've learned a ton about what causes his reactivity, how to read his body language, how to keep him and others safe, and of course how to train better behaviors into him. Our dog has made a TON of progress, and we were recently able to step down from weekly to monthly sessions. We can take him on hikes and walks comfortably, and he's getting more and more comfortable seeing other dogs around. He's a totally different dog than the jumpy and unpredictable lil boy we brought home from the shelter last year. I highly recommend working with Vanessa if you're looking for a trainer.

I was told my reservation was pending and I needed a screening to take place. No problem! My dog is an amazing guy I knew he'd pass. The owner also asked me to please enter my credit card info. So I took time off work to take him there. He passed no issue. I asked the woman at the screening if it meant my dog was accepted and she said the reservation should go through and to be in touch. I wait a day after not hearing and go on their web portal to see my reservation was cancelled. At this point 5+ days have passed since I began the process because nobody there answers a phone and you can only contact them via their portal and wait for a response. After finally hearing from them the owner proceeds to tell me my dog will be on a waitlist. There never was any room for him to begin. She could've easily told me that BEFORE the screening, BEFORE she takes my credit card. She has the audacity to tell me it's a good lesson for me (which had me so angry I started to get emotional because I've lost five days of searching for a place for my beloved pet!). I tell her she could've been honest and she said "I get hundreds of calls per day." It's as easy as knowing your availability and looking at my dates. The end of the conversation told me everything I needed to hear to understand her real motivation--she said "Well the next time you go on vacation and you plan better you're all set up here to bring him here." She only ever cared about future $ and manipulatively making it "easy" the next time I need a place. Gross way to operate. She has no idea of my situation. She has no idea the place my pet was scheduled far in advance had to close for a time that happens to fall when my dog was scheduled because of a COVID sickness. I don't expect her to accommodate my dog when she has no room. I do expect honesty and professionalism which seems greatly lacking. I'd not trust her with my best friend and beloved dog.

I was charged $60 for a no show. However, I was informed that I had no more visits on my pass. But since I had not cancelled my future reservations, they were happy to charge me. In the past I had also overlooked a few things. One if which is when they used to take calls, I asked if I could stop by to feed my dogs. (I thought they were fed by my partner). I was told that it was not possible because all doors are locked after 9 am! Strange that I was refused access to my fur babies. As a result, I've never seen what it's like once they are dropped off. You receive a photo or two of them and a report card. No webcam. The portal to make reservations and buy passes is also confusing and cumbersome. They also don't take calls now and all communication is via email to a generic email. Sometimes it's just good to be able to talk to someone. They will also not hesitate to use a bark collar on your fur baby if they think it's necessary. If you're looking for a warm and fuzzy customer facing experience, this isn't it. There isn't a reception. You pass your dog to someone at the gate. They hand over you dog through the gate when you pickup. Location is off an extremely busy road. When you leave the facility, you'd better step on the gas as the traffic coming down the hill is usually is at least 70 miles an hour. I hope this helps others make an informed decision about this establishment.

At the end of January my boyfriend and I decided to adopt a 9 month old golden retriever mix from our local shelter. After bringing him home, we decided we wanted to find a trainer to help us teach him much more then just sit and stay because we want him to be able to come with us all over. We looked around Loveland and Fort Collins for trainers, and eventually decided that having an in-home trainer would be the best route for us, and that's what led us to Carol. From the very first lesson our dog has shown amazing improvement, and she is always helpful and eager to provide any tips or information she can. We went from having a crazy hyper puppy, who barked and jumped up constantly, to a calm, well mannered, sweet boy who listens to us and respects us. I look forward to every lesson because I know my dog and I are going to learn so much. If you are looking for a trainer I would HIGHLY recommend her and the Bark Busters method, it's worth every penny and more.

And, after a very bad reaction to a dog on our walk, where she redirected on me, I would get scared any time we saw a dog when we were out walking and did my best to just avoid dogs altogether. We finally decided we couldn't fix Stella on our own and we decided to take her to Black Paw Dog Training. The training we ALL received has changed our lives! Since her graduation, we have enjoyed Saturday pack walks with other graduates and Stella has done great, walking side by side with other dogs, passing dogs out on the trail and staying in a perfect heel. I never thought it could be possible. She plays ball in a neighborhood park and has perfect recall. And our walks and ball playing in the neighborhood are totally different. She can pass dogs on the trail and just walk on by without losing her mind. And taking her with us to stores is now a fun outing. No more whining. No more pulling. Just a well-behaved pup. DO NOT TAKE YOUR AGGRESSIVE DOG TO THIS PROGRAM, THIS BUSINES IS NOT EQUIPPED TO WORK WITH WORKING BREED DOGS OR AGGRESSIVE DOGS. I truly feel I need to warn any potential consumer with an aggressive or working breed, that Sit Means Sit should never train their dog. I took my aggressive dog to this training program for a board and train and I explained that my dog has reactivity issues and had recently bit someone. Sarah ensured me that they had work with these types of dogs before and that this program would help us to walk him on a leash. The program mentality is that the e-collar was a tap on the shoulder and that the dog had to make the decision to do the command. After talking with several dog behavioral experts, with a working dog with aggressive tendencies, they need to be trained with the mentality that the owner is in charge and making the decisions, for the dog to follow lead. Additionally, when I started taking him to group classes, Canyon would lunge at all the participants. I asked Sarah multiple times to have 1:1 sessions and she continued to make me go to highly stressful group sessions. For the amount of money I paid, that shouldn't have been the response. I have since realized that they no longer do group trainings as they found them ineffective. As such the training program did not work for Canyon, and I am extremely disappointed because I invested a lot of money. I am going to have to pay for new training, and have asked for a refund to help pay for the training to get my dog the help he deserves, otherwise he would need to be put down. The owner refused my request, even though the program didn't work. Which goes to show you that they are driven by money and not the well being of the dog.
