I am extremely disappointed with the grooming experience my Yorkie received yesterday. I have been bringing my dog to this groomer regularly for over two years and have always had positive experiences, which makes this situation even more upsetting. When I dropped her off, I requested her usual Yorkie puppy cut and specifically asked for a full haircut with her coat kept short for the summer. Instead, when I picked her up, she had been completely shaved. She looked nothing like the Yorkie puppy cut she has received for years. Unfortunately, the groomer was not present when I dropped her off or when I picked her up, so I never had the opportunity to discuss the haircut or understand what happened with the communication. I still don't know how my request was misunderstood. To make matters worse, I noticed when I got home that her tear stains had not even been cleaned, something I had to do myself. In the ten years I've owned my dog and had her groomed every couple of months, I have never had an experience this disappointing. I understand that hair grows back, but it is heartbreaking to see my dog completely shaved when that is not what I requested. I trusted this business based on our long history together, and I left feeling very sad and let down. My mom's dog Angel just suffered a major cut on his left paw from whatever instruments are used in the grooming process here. They had the in house petsmart vet Dr spend an extra 2 hours doing the patchwork and wrapping the dog's leg up. The entire "service" was free but this is the last time we will do business here. One star is too good for the fish department at the Greeley PetSmart. I have never seen such a rude and unmotivated staff as the lady working this department. She makes a hurried escape as soon as she sees you shopping for fish, ignored her call button repeatedly and then had the nerve to act perturbed when I had another employee page her. Would never recommend the PetSmart fish department to anyone. Go to Petco, the employees are courteous and friendly and not afraid to do their job. read more

Had to amend my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. The last 3 or 4 times I've shopped there items I wanted were out of stock and the wait to check out is LONG. The cat adoption area is usually locked and when I asked about that on two different occasions they shrugged their shoulders and said someone must have forgotten to unlock it which negates the purpose of having cats there for adoption if no one can visit them. I was overcharged on my last visit and didn't realize it until I got home so had to make a special trip back to get that fixed. I've been taking my dog to the PetSmart in Brighton for 5 years for a bath and nail trimming typically once a month and have never had a problem. This particular location in Greeley has been riddled with poor customer service, incomplete services and not giving all they promise in their packages everytime I've been here. 2 out of the 3 times I purchased the paw plus I didn't receive take home extras. They have you pay before you see your dog who should be wearing the bandana that is part of tue package, but then isn't given. The second appointment I asked if my dog could be ready in a hour and half so I could pick up my kiddo from school and was rudely yelled at that I needed to select that option online. That option does not exist on their booking site. The gal that was rude to me would not look me in the eye and the groomer apologized for her nasty tone and said it was no big deal to have her ready by that time. She typically takes about an hour but at this location whenever you ask about how long they always say 2-3 hours. Which is seriously ridiculous. Today was the last straw. I got a call a little under an hour that my dog was ready (after specifically being told after asking that it would be 2-3 hours) but they weren't able to finish clipping her nails because she peed and pooped and they said at her age they felt it was too stressful for her. I told them I've she's never done that before and to check and see as it was one foot that wasn't done if they could give it a go. She said it wasn't possible. I was frustrated and told her I wouldn't be paying for this service. She seemed surprised by that. I again was asked to pay first and repeated that I wasn't paying for a service that was incomplete so they took $15 off. I paid and was told I didn't need a receipt even though I get one every other time I've checked out. I purchased the Halloween plus and the only thing I received was a teeth cleaning for $35 dollars as she didn't receive her Halloween bandana or the other things in the package. I would list them here but they have blocked my online booking so I cannot detail them here. Blocked me for being an unsatisfied customer. Seems a little fishy to me. They are great at pet smart, and can get my pets in fairly quick. Always greet my pugs with a warm welcome.

Typically, we've never had an issue here. However, lately, the grooming is becoming a real problem. We usually bring our dog in for walk in nail grindings. We've been doing so for YEARS now. Lately, it seems that the grooming staff has been leaving an hour or two earlier than what their hours state they should. We've gone in several times well before closing and no one is there and no other store employees are aware of it. Tonight, we called first to make sure someone was there. Sure enough, all of the grooming staff was already gone by 5 when they are supposed to be open until 6pm. Super frustrating, especially when there is no option to book an appointment for a nail grinding online. Our dog doesn't enjoy going anyways and then to get there, and have to take him back to the car, and go back home for nothing is getting really frustrating and it is a waste of our time and gas. If the grooming hours stated are not being followed and the grooming staff is not going to adhere to them, it's not fair to walk in customers. At this point, we're ready to take our business elsewhere. read more

We have had good experiences almost every time we have brought our dog babies to this PetSmart. the groomers are good with our pets and friendly. we have not had any issues and will take them back at least once a month. we have short haired dogs and usually just get their nails clipped/ground but am thinking of taking them for baths the next time. read more

Nice store, friendly staff. I purchase many pet-related items there, and take my pets there for vaccinations and preventive care. So far, everything's gone well for - they're conscientious, informative and flexible with options. I've had the dogs' nails trimmed there because I can't handle doing it myself - they do a good job at a not-so-easy task. read more

Scheduled appointment and when I got there was told that person was apprentice and could only.bathe amd not the nail trim amd dematting etc. They didn't notice I scheduled that over a week ago? And why is it an option if for that person to be picked??? I was told someone else could do that part. Then I get a call that he won't settle and they can't do anything. Gaby was completely rude about it all when I questioned anything and told me to just leave. I ask for the manager and he said yea I don't know why our system allows that. I asked if.they gave him cheese or peanut butter amd Gaby told me we can only.do that if you bring it. So I said first time here. How would I know that and she again got rude and said "That's your problem" Seriously?? 0 customer service skills. Very disappointed in the Service today.....not one to complain but our pooch went in at 8AM this morn....didn't leave until after 11ish....and her cut & finish was POOR to say the least. Don't go to this PetSmart if you're looking to buy fish. I went to buy a few extra fish to join the one carnival fish my daughter won. First off, my 5-year-old daughter and I were looking at fish and deciding which ones to get. While we were doing this, a worker acted annoyed we were there (body language) and didn't ask to help us or anything. It wasn't busy either. Finally, I say "Hi!! Can we buy some fish??" She then drilled me in a rude tone about how big my tank was, why I wanted more fish and then refused to sell me any fish.... I asked to speak to her manager. He came out, DIDN'T APOLOGIZE for her rudeness, and sold me the fish. Oh, also... the whole time she was drilling me, there was a dead fish in the tank, so..... apparently she's not the best one to judge me about taking care of fish. Anyway, I won't be back. I made an appointment ahead of time to have both of my dogs groomed, their shot records were sent in before hand and they have been groomed here many times before. When I arrived the girl stated they had not received the records from my vet. I gave her my vets phone number so she could verify not only that they had sent it but also that the dogs vaccinations were up to date. She got her manager to speak to the vet to verify the records. The vet informed them that both dogs were up to date and vaccinated. However the manager did not like that my smaller dog has to be tiger tested because she is allergic to her vaccinations which go as extreme to close her throat. So she has to be put under and heavily dosed to get the proper vaccinations and gets them over a longer time span than the average dog. She gets tiger tested every year and is always up to date with vaccinations. I should stop here to let you know that she has been coming to this pet smart for 2 years for grooming and we have never had an issue until today. The manager refused to let her stay, stating "it was against the law to not vaccinate my dog." I informed him to call my vet that they would be happy to speak to him about how my dog is fully vaccinated. One of the other girls spoke to my vet in which they informed her of the condition and that she was fully up to date on all vaccinations. The manager continued to belittle me telling me it was against the law to not vaccinate my dog and against company policy and my vet clearly had no idea what they were talking about. Petsmart's own in house vet was telling them the records showed she was vaccinated and fully protected. However that did not matter to this manager. When I informed him that my dog goes there all of the time he informed me that he did not care and that it was clear their own company had been breaking "company policy" for years and that I was breaking the law. I let him know that this condition has never stopped her from being able to do anything I do with her including flying. For the managers to just disregard the medical opinions not only of my own vet but also their in house vet is completely absurd to me. I was not aware that the managers of Petsmart also had veterinary degrees. The other manager proceeded to let me know I could still leave my bigger dog their to be groomed however the little dog they would need additional paperwork beyond the vet letters, tiger testing records, and vaccination records. I'm not sure what else I could have possibly given them to prove my dog is fully vaccinated. I informed her after being treated so poorly and made out to be a law breaking citizen I would not be allowing my animals to stay in their care at all for grooming and that I would not be returning to the store to even shop. I just cannot believe that this type of behavior is ok let alone treating your customers like this, especially by both managers in the store. You could tell the girls at the front counter were embarrassed for their own establishment as they continuously apologized obviously recognizing my dogs and the fact I had been seeing these groomers for 2 years now. Whatever you do do not use the Vet inside. The Veterinarian is a scam artist and just looks to charge you as much as possible. Brought an 8 week old pup for wellness check and was told we should get several hundred dollars in tests to make sure she is ok. I'm sorry but a pup in perfect health does not need hundreds of dollars in tests. Furthermore, the shelter we got our dog from included a free wellness check that we were charged for anyways. Recently took my Standard poodle for a hair cut, bath and mouth care. All Lizz did was cut his hair evenly. She didn't brush out his ears, tail or feet. There are still knots on the back of his ears and tail which I gave her permission to SHAVE him if she Struggled with getting the knots out. When I went to pet him he was very dusty which tells me he wasn't washed, which I paid for. Plus a 50% tip, great. That's what I get for having a heart and trusting petsmart would do the right thing. This is why I didn't bring him to anyone in the first place because they think people won't check their dog thoroughly. CHECK YOUR DOG BEFORE YOU LEAVE. read more

I bought a 9 year old rescue dog from the Rocky Mountain Rescue, which was set up at Pet Smart. After having 3 surgeries on in which all of her teeth had to be removed,the poor dog needed a good grooming and a haircut. I took her to PerSmart today, and when I had returned to pick her up I was she was crying so bad, that the groomer could get done was a bath, her ears trimmed on the very bottoms, her butt trimmed and her feet trimmed. I was told I need to take her to the vet's and have her sedated in order to get her the proper haircut. I was charged $40.00 for this little bit that was done for Polly. I was looking over the "pawgress report" that I was given before I left, and it said Polly has clean teeth, are you kidding me? There is not one tooth in that poor dogs head! I will not go back to a place I paid for a groom/cut and they can't handle a whining old dog, with no teeth! Pathetic! read more

BEWARE worst grooming service ever!! I took my 1 year old dog there for a nail trim they took my dog in the back room 8 minutes later they came out and said that they could only do two nails number one they should have never taken him in the back his nails were horrible and cut so short they were bleeding when I brought him home I. Noticed a real bad red scafe on his neck so I brought him back right away so they could let there vet look at him and the manager tells me that it was from his collar BS and that she knows the girls who did the grooming and that they would never do this I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS STORE AGAIN read more

Do NOT buy any reptiles from PetSmart. I recently bought a ball python from there and I am experiencing issues. The ball python I bought was very docile but it was also infested with snake mites. I am currently struggling with getting rid of all of the mites in the enclosure, decor, and on the snake. I also noticed that the snake was very skinny and under weight. Fortunately, my ball python is now feeding well but you can still see his vertebrae. It is extremely sad how poorly these reptiles are being treated. I apologize in advance for the long review but if you currently take your dog to get groomed at this store or are considering it, please read this review. Before I start this review, let me just say that I used to love this store and the grooming team. Until about a week ago, this is the only place that I would take our dog to get groomed. The old grooming team was so kind, understanding, patient and loving towards our dog. I felt that they really cared about us and always went above and beyond to make sure our dog got the best treatment. I never felt worried when I dropped her off. I'm not sure what happened to make this store feel that they had make some drastic changes, including the grooming staff but unfortunately due to the changes they have made, especially with their staff, they have lost our business not only in the grooming salon but we will also never be shopping at this store again. Here is why: We took our dog in to get groomed last weekend and when showed up we didn't see our usual groomer again (she wasn't there when we took our dog in February either). We decided this time to ask where she was and they stated some rules had been changed and there was staff turnover. I know this is silly but if you are like us, our dog is like our child. It matters to us who our dog is in care of when we are not around. The new staff made me feel a little uncomfortable and I was a little nervous leaving her because for the first time ever she was refusing to go back with them. I just chalked it up to the changes and ignored my feelings, which was a huge mistake. When we came to pick her up the staff was not only rude to us but they told us our dog was very difficult and that they had a hard time with her. They basically made us feel like she was one of the worst dogs they have ever dealt with. I was blown away by this not only because our dog is the biggest sweetheart but we have also never heard about any issues from their staff in the past, in fact the old staff LOVED our dog and always had good things to say! I brushed off their comments and paid my bill. As I was about to leave, one of the staff members starts yelling at me. Turns out they gave me the wrong invoice and I needed to pay the balance, which I was completely happy to do but the staff member was extremely rude to me, making me feel even more uncomfortable than I already was. At my job, when I make a mistake, I make sure to apologize to the customer, admit my mistake and make sure the customer still knows that we appreciate their business. This is the exact opposite of how this staff member made me feel. I had already made my mind up at that point that we would not be bringing our dog back but what has pushed me over the edge to write this review is due to our dog's behavior since her appointment. When we got home, our dog bolted to hide under the bed. She hasn't done that since when we first rescued her. We couldn't get her to come out from under the bed or eat for a few days. I am not sure what happened during her appointment but something the staff did to her caused her to back track on some of the progress we have made with her. I'm very disappointment in this store. I have 4 dogs. I took all of them to this location. I have 2 golden retrievers, a German shepherd and a minature dachsund. The German and the mini just got baths. We specifically asked for JUST A TRIM on the goldens. Before we took them they both had wispy curls all over and had pretty long hair. When we arrived to pick them up, the 2 goldens hair WAS COMPLETELY SHAVED OFF. We only asked for a trim!! My goldens now look like labs. Overall an upsetting experience. For having 1.5 stars they should really focus on customer service. We were 5th in line with one register open. After about 4 or 5 minutes we were 4th in line. At this time there were about 10 people in line. I walked over to the grooming desk and asked if they could open another register. To which she replied we are not part of pet smart. So loudly i said, they should really open another register because there is a line to the back of the store. There were other employees wandering around the store but none seemed to notice the very slow moving line of customers. Finally the manager came out and asked the cashier if he was alright. I answered for him and said there is a long line of customers and only one register open. She didnt even go and open another register right away, she actually took her time doing it. If you dont like your job, then quit. There are thousands of people ready to take your job. Tighten up people. read more

This has been twice now with the same girl that I don't even know other than the fact she works at Petsmart. I've heard bad things about the groomers too. Never going here again. Even to shop. I wish PetSmart would recognize her experience, talent and superb customer service. That is what brings people back. The company seems too big and disinterested to reward merit! If I could give zero stars I would. My dog was adopted in October and has no issues having people touch her paws. She has black nails so I have to take her in because I don't want to trim them too short myself. The first time I went to Petsmart grooming a man clipped her nails and she did great and had zero issues and I videotaped how well she did since it was her first time with me. The second time it took four groomers to hold her because the lady clipped FOUR of her quicks. She was yelping and whining the entire time (a good reason for her to squirm away since she was in pain). After she clipped them she ground them, even the quicked nails. The lady at the desk probably realized I was upset watching because she told me it's completely normal for them to have four people clipping their nails. When they finally finished the groomer lied to my face saying she didn't cut any of her quicks. I thought I possibly was wrong about them cutting her quicks and went home. They had put quick stop on her nails to stop the bleeding at the store so I didn't notice till I got home. I had blood all over my carpet because she was bleeding from three paws. Her nails were broken off and half weren't trimmed at all. Because of Petsmart my dog is now petrified of getting her nails trimmed and refuses to even walk near Petsmart grooming and the vet has to sedate her anytime she gets her nails trimmed now. read more

First off, I apologize this might be a long review. However, it will be helpful for people to hear about my experience. To begin, I have a guinea pig named Panda that's a year old. He is in our family for about 4 months at the time in February. My fiance thought it be a good idea to get another friend for him however I wasn't so keen to that idea since he was our baby. I didn't know how he felt with other pigs. March comes and we went to the Greeley Petsmart to pick up guinea pig food. Fiance went to the guinea pigs and wanted to hold one. He decided on this big furry one but the associate couldn't grab him so she lifted a house he ran into. In there, I fell in LOVE with a small white guinea pig with pink ears. To cut the chase, we ended up getting the white one :) On ride home, he was sneezing. So we decided if he was still like that we would take him back to the store and maybe see if he could get medicine. Within a few days, he was: sneezing, wheezing and had crud around his nose. We took him back and Petsmart employee Hannah listened for a upper respiratory illness and sure enough he had it. Unfortunately I couldn't bring him home that day. They needed to keep him for a couple weeks. Make sure he took his medicine and have the vet check him to make sure he got the clearance to go home. I kept tabs on his recovery and all staff said "He's happy. Active. Eating his hay." But someone said he should go home that week. Possibly miscommunication on their end cause I had my mom go get him and they said he wasn't cleared by vet so she couldn't take him. Few weeks later I got the call that he was clear to go home! So right around 10 I go meet Hannah again and she went to get my baby. She brings him out and it took both of us a few seconds to see a small bump near his ear. It was unusual so she ran him back to the vet. HE had ringworm! Now I was shocked and upset. She explained that someone touched another animal that had the illness and went to touch him and that wasn't okay to do. How the heck was he cleared? Merely 12 hours ago and how did the vet NOT see? Rules of ringworm for Petsmart. It will take 3 more weeks for medicine to go through and again have the vet clear him. Again I kept tabs on his health and again. Happy and healthy and active. Panda did not have ringworm so obviously he got it while staying at the store. Every time I called, people kept apologizing. And this one girl said he got ringworm due to stress. So more mix information? I called the Petsmart complaints area who got me Reina from the Greeley store to contact me. I explained what happened and she was the most helpful person. She said I wouldn't have to pay for him again so when he was clear I can take him. About hitting the 3 weeks mark I called and asked how he was doing. "Oh he has a flake on his ear." What flake? Was it due to the ringworm? No one informed me!! I started to get upset over the phone, asking all these questions to this poor kid that I bombarded with. I got switched to another lady, again explaining it may be from ringworm. they didn't know but he's not cleared to leave. I called Reina who brought the pig to the vet and he ended up getting some medicine for his ear. She apologized again and said she will offer me a cage for him once I do take him home to separate the pigs. If he was still sick, we don't want him passing it to the other. Around a week later, I go get him. Reina brought him out in a plastic container. Kind of like a drawer. She explained to us that she'll run him again to the vet to see if it was okay for him to go. When she left, I seen she left his chart. I skimmed through the pages and see he was on medicine, he was good and happy and who initialed. The date was a few days after they told me about his flake. It went something like, "Flake isn't healing. Mark on shoulder still there." The previous dates were all was good. Looking better and healing. Right beside that entry was "whoops." What "whoops?" Although I didn't question it but I should have!! He got the clearance to go home with us and gave us his medicine to keep applying to his ear. She let us adopt him out but the bad thing is that if he gets sick, we can't bring him back. It's been a week since he's home. He hasn't been sick and soon he will join his brother. Although, the few days we had him before bringing him back to Petsmart, he wasn't a biter. NOW he is. He's bit so hard that now he's cut my skin. So we will have to gain his trust with our hands. He was probably mishandled. And the vet who prescribed his flake ear medicine is a Dr. Kitchen. I don't know if he/she seen him for the respiratory and ringworm but everyone, be cautious. I won't be buying from Petsmart again. But thank you to some of the workers there who got me clear answers. Update: Baby pig still bites hands but now has bit his brothers ear. I am really shocked to see the bad reviews. I take our dog there to be groomed and he loves it. When we get to PetSmart he is excited to go inside. He is not good with men, we adopted him and I don't know what happened but they scare him. The last time we went there was a young man at the counter and he did not want to go past him. The young man was kind and called Randi who helped Husker past his fear and to the back. He looked great when I picked him up and she was very nice. I can tell Husker really likes her and that is important since he can he fearful and shy. I will keep taking him back. We also recently adopted a cat from them and they were so nice. They let us bring Husker in to the training area to meet our new kitty and be sure they would like each other, they are best friends now. One lady saw we didn't use all the coupons we were given when we adopted her and redid the entire order so we could get the best possible savings. She made sure we were getting the food she had been eating and that we had all the kitty things we needed for her at the best price. I have gotten Fish at that PetSmart for my work fish tank and the girl in that area was really nice and took time to make sure I got fish that were right for size tank we had. So far I have not met anyone at the Greeley PetSmart that has not been kind and helpful. read more
