I usually schedule Betty-White with Kristen O, but I would have to call to Shedule for repeated groomer choice. Before appointment, Betty-White was good, no issues at All! Once my husband and I arrived to pick up Betty-White, the petsmart groomer reported that Betty-White had diarrhea twice in her kennel. We don't know why this happened. It NEVER happened with Kristen who Betty-White has had 3 past grooming visits. We drove home and as Betty-White got out the back of the truck camper, she cried out in pain, then she went to stretch back legs, cried out again, next, she attempted to have a bowel movement twice , NOTHING, followed by dragging her rearend across grass, She has never in her 3 years of life done that. We decided something is wrong, Betty-White is in great pain and took her the next day to a Vet clinic in Hattiesburg, MS. As I tried to get her up into back truck camper I then noticed she had did her business twice on the deck stack which I took a video of. I decided Betty-White was reluctant to get in the back of truck so I convinced her to get in the truck Cab with us for ride to Vet. She cried out as she attempted 3 times and I had to help her get in. After vet appointment, the vet stated blood in Betty-White's stool sample, But the Vet stated he wasn't sure what caused that. We went next to PetSmart spoke with (A) store manager who stated after she looked over grooming areas video feed, she stated nothing showed any Mistreatment by groomer. Hattiesburg, Mississippi PetSmart grooming/ store Refused to take any responsibility for the $579. Vet bill. We have been taking both our large dogs to petsmart for the last 3 years and no concerns prior to this.

They even saw me standing outside and didn't have the courtesy to say it would be a little longer. Very disappointing

The groomer did not come out to speak with me at drop off so I spoke with the employee who came out and got my pup. I told her she needed to be bathed & groomed. (for a long haired doxie this is clean up the paws, trim the wings, shave the belly & potty patch) I go to pick my dog up and they have SHAVED her, no beautiful long coat, no wings, she is scalped. 4 years of beautiful coat gone!!!!! The employee knew I was upset so she went back inside & got the groomer. The groomer stated that she asked the employee who brought her back for clarification on the cut. I asked the groomer why she did not call the pet owner for clarification before shaving a full coat off of a beautiful long haired dog! This groomer or clinic will NEVER touch another one of my animals. If they took such liberties with a cut I can't imagine what liberties they would take with medical decisions without consulting the pet owner. And yes, I had to pay for this hack job. The groomer stated, "It will grow back." How rude!

Now, two weeks later, we are gearing up to go back for our puppy's shots and checkup with Dr. Nate Mosley. I've had experience with him already and was super impressed with his knowledge, his handling with the animals, and his interaction with myself and my family. I can't say this was a cheap endeavor, but it's also in a different class of purchases. I mean he's a family member, not a toaster, you know? There are several good veterinarians in Petal, and these guys are a blessing to know!

I will start by saying we have used this clinic for many years now and never had any sort of…read moreissues. This year however we returned from our vacation to a bill that was more than double what it should have been due to her getting "sick" while there. She had vomiting and diarrhea for days and never has any sort of GI issues. We were never contacted to let us know there was anything out of the ordinary going on. I cook her food due to the fact that she is a heart patient and down a good many teeth so she can't eat hard food. We took everything individually labeled with date and time. Things couldn't have been any simpler had it been done correctly. It's pretty obvious that her food was mishandled, left out of the fridge or something to that extent. Her food was her happy time every day and now she shakes violently when offered the food. I made something with a different protein combo and she scarfed it down so it's not an appetite issue. As if that weren't enough her hind legs are extremely bruised. She can barely put any weight on her left one and cries if you pick her up and it has any pressure on it. It's very visible in pictures yet the doctor said he couldn't see anything without seeing her. I refuse to make her go back in the place as she is traumatized after the treatment she got the last week. If this is the best they have to offer for boarding, they should simply not offer that as a service. I say all of this simply to keep anyone else from going through the same thing we are dealing with. The last thing you expect to do is take a playful happy girl to the vet to board and getting back an injured traumatized girl. Also something caused by mishandling should never be the financial responsibility of the pet parent.
