My sister was out of town and her poodle needed a sanitary trim ASAP because she was clearly uncomfortable. I tried to handle it myself but quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing. LOL! So I called Petco around 9:30 AM. They took my number and let me know they'd call me back since they had dogs on the table. Honestly, I wasn't expecting such a quick response, but they returned my call within 15 minutes, which I really appreciated. The person I spoke with was very friendly, and I was able to secure a same day appointment for 12 PM. The only requirement was proof of rabies vaccination. When I arrived, I checked in at the desk and the groomer came out within two minutes. She was warm, welcoming, and super friendly. I immediately felt comfortable leaving the puppy in her care. She clearly explained what the sanitary trim would include and completed the service in about 5-7 minutes. Such a quick turnaround! The cost was only $10.99, which honestly surprised me because I expected to pay more. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and had no complaints. While waiting, I walked around the store. It's big, clean, and well organized. They share a plaza with Kohl's (with Sephora inside) and Ashley Furniture, and there's plenty of parking available. I just have to give a huge shout out to the Pet Groomer Alex C. at Petco. My Husky, Ghost, was shedding his undercoat and refused to sit still long enough for me to brush him. He was an absolute mess when I brought him in and Alex didn't blink an eye. She had him for about 2 1/2 hours and I can tell you that when she was finished, I was shocked, he looked absolutely AMAZING! So, if you're looking for an Awesome Pet Groomer, look no further than Alex. She is very skilled, goes above and beyond, takes pride in her work and will definitely make your fur baby beautiful. She is especially resourceful In working with high energy puppies. I am so thankful for her and all she taught me in the past six weeks. I'm also very fortunate to have the sweetest groomer, Phillip. The longer version: They mangled our dogs coat so we questioned the technician at pickup but she was clueless. We called the toll free number from home and they told us the store would call us back within 48 hours, that never happened. BUT we know that the message was relayed to the store because we did receive a cancellation email for what was supposed to be our pet's next appointment, so now that's the store saying to us, "buzz off!" We called the 800 number to follow up again and this time we sent pictures so they could see why we were upset. This time the store manager Mike called us back but showed no empathy. He did offer a full refund but somehow we only received a partial one; don't waste your money or your time. read more

Groomer Philip did an outstanding job on my fussy 15y.o. 14# chihuahua. Walked in w/out an apt. he washed her and actually did her anal glands (most groomers just say they do says my sister a licensed vet) and was actually able to get ALL her nails! She was done in less than an hour , smelled amazing and she had a cute scarf bandanna on. Very pleased. Will def request Philip in the future! read more

Every time I come here to get my dog groomed I say it's going to be the last time yet I keep coming back. I've picked my dog up from getting her nails trimmed and got into the car, only to realize they cut her nails too short and she was bleeding! The groomers here are also EXCEPTIONALLY rude, I have dealt with 2 different groomers on separate occasions, and both have been short and almost demeaning when I've inquired about walk in services, as if I'm supposed to know by heart what services they provide. They are just not nice when speaking to customers. Take your money elsewhere to a groomer you know is going to shower your baby with love and care when grooming them. By the way they treated me, I can only imagine how they treated my dog and other dogs. Don't spend your money here!! read more

Every fish I have bought from this store was diseased and died within a few weeks. All tanks have ick. Brought in my water to get tested every time fish died water quality was perfect. Got a few platys from here that ended up having anchor worm which is something fish can only get from the supplier. I was told that they may have gotten the worms from another fish from a different store & that they didn't have the anchor worms in their tanks. I explained that I didn't have any fish from a different store & the tank had just been set up & cycled, again,since I had bought other fish from here that died. I've taken my dogs here for service, for which Petco did a good job. However, customer service is lacking. For one, they do not answer the phone, and simply take messages to reserve an appointment. If you don't know this, you will end up wasting your time trying to get an appointment, if one is made. And you will not know if they are going to see your dog. Since the phone was not answered, I went to the store first thing in the morning to get my dog seen. The person behind the counter did not even acknowledge I was there, with only one other person ahead of myself. I waited 20 minutes patiently, while the person addressed the other customer, and took care of her dog, and then asked me what I needed. Come to find out there was no appointments available, and that they do not answer the phone, just take reservations by voicemail. They wasted 30 minutes of my time without addressing me for a split second, and did not understand that answering a phone is important. They are clueless to basic service. I choose to give my money to another business. read more

They get a 1 because I couldn't go any lower.It started with a phone call.I was looking for a specific product . After waiting for 25 minutes I decided to drive 30 minutes to the store.They didn't have what I wanted but I bought a similar,generic product that wasn't as good.On my way to the register I noticed a lady with a small pooch that was dragging him by the collar down the aisle!!I stopped and stared.The employees seemed to find it amusing!! This tiny pooch had large lumps over his bottom side,some certain scabs and was being dragged!! By his neck!! I watched.until the little Pomeranian popped his head up and I knew he was ok.I got in line to pay for my chemical's and here comes this woman dragging her dog behind me!! I couldn't stand it,I had to say something.Of course she told me it was none of my business and her father's dog had to be taught!!I was insulted repeatedly by this lady for questioning her nasty tactics on this poor old dog.When I Finally got to the front of the line and confronted the cashier on their guidelines I was yelled at. Told to take my things and go and he didn't want to hear anything of what was going on!!!??? How?? We're here for the animals and I thought someone should be on their side!! This is the was/is the worst I've ever seen in a pet facility.This guy should be reprimanded and the whole facility be retrained.I will never patron saint his place and will forever slander this name read more
