Just wanted to try someone new to see if we can get a more consistent grooming experience. Also, our dogs have been at their grooming place for as much as 6 hours, even though we drop them off at 10 or 10:30, depending. They can't go that long without a bathroom stop. They don't go there but as soon as they're out the door, they go and go and go. Then, they are out of it for the rest of the day. Love Jill but we can't do this to our dogs until there's some consistency with the groomers. Just in response to Jill, we have never had fewer than 2 dogs and usually have had three, and they never took so long before the last few times. At times, each was done by a different groomer but since there have only been two there the last few times, at least that we saw, obviously that was a problem. Also, even though they are Cavaliers, two of them have scant coats so we don't consider them long-haired as they rarely need cutting every time except around paws. The dogs peed and peed when they left the grooming, more than they usually do and drank tons of water when they got home so I can't see how they were walked while there or got enough water as I can only go with their behavior when we picked them up.

We found the facility to be very clean and well appointed. The dogs are allowed to play all day in an outdoor common area, and then have individual kennels for sleeping. Our 2 dogs were able to share a kennel. After inspecting the premises, the owner suggested we leave our 2 dogs for a complimentary "play date", so that everyone, dogs and attendees could become comfortable. All of the people we met here were obviously dog and other animal lovers. We picked our dogs up from the play date, and a few days later went to drop them off for a week. As soon as we pulled in the parking area, the dogs began to whine with excitement. They remembered their play date, and were glad to be back! We rarely leave our dogs behind when traveling, so they were not accustomed to being kenneled in a new environment. We were so pleased when we picked them up, to squeals of happiness. Over the next several days it was obvious that our dogs had received excellent care, and lots of attention during their stay. Our big Golden Retriever has a new habit of rolling over for you to scratch his stomach, the moment you give him any attention. Obviously he got a lot of attention and affection during his stay. She gets a terrific workout and naptime so when I pick her up she is all played out and just cannot wait to go back. She is a high energy puppy, so this helps her burn off some of that energy. She comes home and sleeps good at night. I receive a report card and photos of her from Enrichment Day Care, which I just love. The team there knew Athena the moment we walked through the door after her first stay. While dropping her off, we witnessed many other dogs being dropped off, all just as happy and excited to be there as Athena. That says a lot about the place when the dogs are happy to be there. It's the best thing we could ever do to help Athena socialize and gain the confidence she needs to grow into a well rounded dog.
