They cut my dog's nails and her paw bleed. I wasn't told. They put something on it to stop the bleeding but it didn't hold. She bleeding all over the house. She won't go back. When I spoke with the manager she agreed I should have been notified, returned my payment and to my face invited me to find another groomer. I suggested a written notification and a sample tube of ointment might be a good idea and was told not going to happen. Your entire team needs to do better. read more

We had taken our rescued dog in for grooming and asked for a teddy bear cut and she said yes. We got a poodle cut and was very disappointed. We paid to much for the grooming for it to be wrong. If she couldn't do the cut we wanted she should have said. Called the manager and they offered a refund which I thought was wonderful. Now to yesterday 3/8/2025. We called before 11am to get an appointment and was told to bring him in (10 pounds) 9:15 the next day. She looked at the notes and we said poodle cut was fine. I got a message at 10:05pm that night stating our appointment was cancelled because he was a referred out? And didn't like his feet or face messed with? When we called she read the notes and those were not there. A friend told us that once you complain about their grooming they cancel your appointments? We order online and come into the store weekly to buy his food and new toys. We will not come back. I deleted our account and cancelled all online orders. Sad because we wanted to give them a second chance. I'm putting the message that was sent to me below. read more

Was looking to buy a few goldfish and had to find a person to help. After the Petco employee came back to the fish section she asked me about my tank. After I told her I had a 25 gallon tank with a few fish in it she said one goldfish for a 25 gallon tank. I asked her to repeat what she told me to make sure I heard her correctly. She refused to sell me any fish staying it was policy. I contacted corporate and all they said was just political speech with no answers. I will shop elsewhere. read more

This is where all the cool pets go. I have no issues whatsoever with this location. You can find what you need, and they have staff on the floor checking to see if you need assistance. I went here today on a Saturday. It was busy, but I was still checked on. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Registers were open and no wait to get checked out with items. Very disappointed with this Pet Co. Grooming - First, I was told about 3 hours - it ended up being 4 1/2 hours. The faces of both dogs are lop-sided, the Maltese's ears are a nightmare - one side is long in front with a choppy wedge in the back, the other is choppy wedges across the front - I don't know how I can fix it. read more

We got a bearded dragon in aug. She was a challenge to feed. We went back and told the store. They sold us repta-boost to force feed her. She passed away a few days ago. They told us because she is a few days passed the 30 they wont help us. We got the repta-boost when it was in the 30 days. I feel like they did this on purpose. I called corp and they sent us to the store to get a refund or a new dragon. When we get there the manager was cold and told us no not without an email. So I called back and a different lady answered. She then told me she is sorry nothing more they can do. So im told yes we can help and no we cant. I feel so upset. read more

After making prior arrangements with the store location for a standard poodle to have a continental cut, The employee named Zelda indicated that they do not do this cut, cannot do this cut and seemed concerned that it would take all day. Normally I would never take a pet to Petco however, I was in a pinch. As a UKC breeder, I condemn this lack of communication between the appointment setter and their employees. It should've been clearly communicated that the store is incapable of doing this. At the very least they should have been able to wash him yet again, they would not wash him without cutting a majority of the fur off. (Takes too long.) If you are taking a poodle to this place after this review you're a douche like me. PetCo has just guaranteed the loss of one entire breed from the Texoma area. read more

Can't give less than one star so that is what they get. All I do at this place is grooming and it has become a JOKE. your appointment may or may not exist because it could magically cancel. Lastly you get a pre call that there are noted from more than a year ago that your dog is tough to cut so they have instantly made up their minds that he is not serviceable. There is not a deal here, just typically availability. Now I know why. They are lazy, incompetent, and generally BAD at their job. Take your hard earned money elsewhere Texoma. read more

I took my Cairn Terrier to the grooming area in Sherman location today. She came home like a princess. Thanks, Theresa! Although my breed is very specific about grooming (without an option of having her type of services called stripping) they did a great full service. Cairns have a hard outer coat and a soft under coat. They cannot be shaved like other Terriers. The staff took their time listening to our special needs. The only suggestion I have is not to bring you dog in at noon, and not be ready until 5pm. I don't like my rescue to have to wait in a kennel. That's when I found out (at drop off) that there are 3 dogs in front of her. Just like our spa day, we want noon to mean noon. Thanks again read more

This store is always a mess! Boxes of products in every aisle makes it hard to walk through. It's not the cleanest and some serious zoning could really help the customer find what they are looking for. I do like the treat bar. I will NOT return here.\ I rescued a dog wanted to do training classes. I paid $300 for 3 classes ahead of time on June 18, The trainer was not in and even though the next month was only a week away they didn't have July's schedule yet; They said she would call me. NOT. Finally after several calls I set a class with her. She told me I was the only student. 2 days before the first class I call the cancel and reschedule. I am a single mom and something came up with my kids. They said she would call to set it back up. NOPE. She did finally call after I called to say I would be coming in to get a refund. When I went to get the refund I was told the refund period had expired buy the GM. I asked for the corporate number then sine I had never went to a class. After going back out into my car I remembered I had my reciept. It was July 16th so within my 30 daysl I go back in and was able to get my refund. I am angry though that the GM tried to scam me. Either she was to lazy to actually check my date or just didnt want to refund it, I now happily take classes at Pet Smart! read more

Cookie Cutter Petco location. Stopped here for a small bag of cat food because I was in the area for something else and it saved me a trip to my regular store. Only odd part of the visit was that I had to ask the cashier for a bag. Unless the item will not fit in a bag, one should be offered in my opinion. read more

the only thing I didn't like was the price. cut was $46, clip nails was $16,plus tax was $67. way too high! I normally take my other dogs to a dog salon and they charge $40 for cut & nails. then I leave them a tip.i did not leave Petco a tip because they charged too much. Look, I'm no expert on frog care, but I'm pretty sure bumblebee dart frogs the size of your pinky fingernail can't eat crickets twice their size. I brought it up to the only employee I could find and he seemed to know and care very little. His response was that sometimes big crickets get mixed in with the small crickets, but I'm pretty sure these tiny frogs are too small to eat ANY size crickets. Their leopard geckos are stuffed 10 in one cage with only one hide for all of them and their bettas all look half-dead, some floating limply on their sides with obvious fin rot and no dividers to keep them from flaring up at each other and stressing themselves out. Unfortunately, this is kind of the norm for PetCo and I don't see anything changing. read more

Great place. A little more expensive than Petsmart in my opinion. I usually only come here for crickets usually it's a pain to wait around for someone in that area but they're always quick about it! read more
