I have been looking for a dog groomer for my elderly dog. I…read morerecently relocated from Arizona and haven't been able to get a response from the few groomers I reached out to. I left a message which stated they would get back to me. Since I hadn't heard from them so I decided to call. The owner was very nice when I spoke to her. We set an appointment and I brought my dog in. I arrived a little early and was let in. Again - the greeting was very warm and friendly. They explained other add-ons. I agreed. The cost would be OVER $100.00. I have never paid that for any grooming in any state I have lived in but, I wanted to make this special for my dog. They mentioned that the grooming I wanted would take 4 hours. When I heard that I thought, "Okay, since it's going to take 4 hours - it's going to be great!" When I returned to pick up dog, he looked fine. He smelled great! But, as often is the case - haircuts need to settle. It was not what I had expected. It is pretty uneven in a many places. There was still some matting around his lips. His belly and privates weren't shaved as they should've been. The hair between his pads was mostly still there. I am a little bummed because I don't see where the $110.00 went. I am not sure if the young lady that groomed him had any professional training - but, that's on me for not asking. I'm guessing she started doing this and showed promise and so is continuing to pursue this as a career. She was truly lovely - but that's great customer service not actually hands-on grooming. My advice to you is simply list what you expect and take the time to check it before you leave. My advice to the owner is just be careful and double check what is done and make sure that there is a standard when it comes to the add-ons. I am leaving the 4-Stars because they truly were friendly and I hope they make the necessary adjustments. Would I recommend them? Of course because I felt safe leaving my dog in their hands, but, I am hoping they address the issues so they can thrive. I wish them success. Have a great day.

I boarded my dog here in June and was absolutely disgusted. When I picked him up he had a deep scratch down his nose. I assumed it was from a run-in with another dog and no big deal so I ignore and take him out to the car. When I go to lift him in he smelled so strongly like cleaning product and was covered with poop on his rear (this has never happened at home, he is a large dog). I go inside to ask for a paper towel or something to clean him up and no one comes out so after standing there for a few minutes I just leave and go put him in my car. He had mass amounts of hair coming off him so I give him a bath as soon as we get home and notice he has an ear infection (hasn't had one since he left the pound) and his paw paws are peeling off and cracking I can't even imagine what would cause this. He used to go into his crate no problem and it took 3 days for him to willingly go into his crate again. When I initially left for vacation and contacted them for an update it took 48+ hours to respond. This isn't just unacceptable it's boarder line animal abuse. I would never, under any circumstances take my dog there again.

They took 25 mins to even get her back there. So they tell us 3 hours to groom our dog. Okay kind of reasonable she told us it would take the full 3 hours because she is a retriever. We then we say our goodbyes. In the meantime we go and look at new collars and go to walk out as soon as we walk out we get a call. PetSmart. So I'm thinking maybe they needed another proof of vaccination for the dog or something stupid. They tell us we need to pick her up right away because she refused to get into there kennel. EXCUSE ME. KENNEL? If it's supposed to take you the "FULL 3 HOURS" why are we putting her in a kennel. Not only were the workers getting upset she wouldn't want a choking collar on her YOU TRY TO PUT HER IN A KENNEL. I'm in complete disbelief. She is an animal it is completely natural for her not to be in a cage. I'm very disappointed how they treated her and I would not recommend this to anyone else. Do Not Bring Your Pet Here…read more I strongly recommend that pet owners think twice before bringing their pets to this groomer. A few months ago, I showed up early to pick up my dog from his appointment and heard a dog crying out. A short while later, the groomer came out with my dog and told me that she had been removing hair from inside his ears. In my opinion, ripping hair out of a dog's ears without appropriate pain management is 100% unacceptable. The only reason I discovered this was happening was because I happened to arrive early. After that experience, I never brought my dog back. I also spoke with another customer who told me that the groomer injured her dog while shaving him. According to her, her dog became so frightened by the experience that he was subsequently afraid to go to grooming appointments. She eventually switched to a different groomer, and she told me that her dog is no longer afraid of being groomed. Based on my own experience and what this other customer described, I would not recommend this groomer. Our pets depend on us to protect them, and I believe they deserve to be handled with patience, care, and compassion.
