It's nice to have such a long time business owner as a staple in downtown Bowling Green. After moving up from Maryland in 2003, I was skeptical of going into a barbershop here. I had my set style and my set ways. So I stumbled into Hal's shop for the first time after driving around BG trying to find a place. Told him what I wanted and he was right on task. Some days it can be busy so there could be a wait. But Hal and others in the shop have great conversations and time goes by fast. Hal knows the community and sports, which makes for great conversations and catching up. Bowling Green is lucky to have Hal. Although he had a few times in the last few years he had to close the shop for a month or two, he sure has loyal customers that beg for him to get back to work. Not because they get a good hair cut, but because Hal is a good friend as well!

I've been there a couple times now and here are my complaints…read more * they double book themselves and if you're the first one to the chair they will do everything in their power to get you off in 5 minutes * The website said my haircut would be $28, they charged me $40 because I needed "extra snips" * Today set me over the edge. The barber asked me what I wanted and as soon as I told him he walked away. Then he came back and started snipping away. And I walked out with a haircut I did not want. Additionally he did not stop me one to clarify what I wanted. * Lastly, the owner/ "pro", is way too full of himself.
