Did not offer a referral, or to refill medications, and basically left me to suffer saying I needed more "serious" help despite me explaining why hospitals don't help me. Which is illegal to do by the way! I met a new psychiatrist and she got me on new meds that worked asap and she was far more helpful, knowledgeable, and caring than Tallman ever was. Not to mention, she promised me I would never see a hospital BECAUSE SHE DOES HER JOB. Tallman is lazy and picks and chooses who he wants to actually care for. He is not a good person, let alone a good doctor. Leaves all scheduling and communication between patients and doctor up to poor staff who are overwhelmed. Do not recommend whatsoever unless you are looking to be absolutely miserable. Tallman does not deserve to be a doctor, let alone should not be caring for people who need actual help. So many better options out there!

We both went on to do additional couples retreats, men's retreats, and a 6-month mentorship--our marriage and family challenges have healed through these additional weekends. As a woman I felt very safe and secure in Barry's wise and gentle holding of my emotional sensitivity. Normally, I would not go to a psychiatrist because they tend to dispense pharmaceutical drugs more than they do healing work or even psychotherapy. But Barry is not only skilled in psychotherapy but in our case was able to move us forward quickly through our learning the "Shared Heart" skills including active listening, reflecting back communications to our partner; understanding the deeper root causes of patterns in a positive way; vulnerability; appreciations; forgiveness; responsibility; practices of loving and merciful kindness and gratitude etc. Although there are no quick cures for relationship challenges, Barry did go straight to the heart of our issues and in that way was more effective than the three MFTs we consulted with. There are also a lot of therapists out there who are happy to take your money and continue to work long after the therapy is no longer getting results. At $150/ session Barry is more pricey than the going average, but with 40+ years of accrued wisdom and experience we found some of the deepest healing available for our marriage and family.
