Having been a long standing loyal customer of Peter Mark Wexford I have now decided I will not be using their services again. I have been a customer of this Salon for the last 21 years and have spent a lot of money on services and products plus I always tip generously.
6 months ago I had a sub-standard haircut and requested to have it redone which it was thankfully, so I continued to remain a loyal customer as they had remedied their mistakes.
However my daughter attended the salon in Wexford today as she had cut her own hair so she needed to get it evened out. She has bob length hair and as you can imagine after taking a scissors to it herself it was very uneven. She went in today to have it evened out. A conversation was had with the stylist and €50 handed over. Met my daughter afterwards with her hair tied up. The Hair was not even, the sides underlayer was longer than the outer layer and far from straight. I rang the hairdressers to query this and was advised that this was more or less what my daughter asked for??!! As a Professional Hairdresser it is part of their role in my understanding to advise customers regarding potential outcomes of decisions. The Hairdresser I spoke with argued her point that my daughter had asked for an inch off her hair (even though the hairdresser could see this was not going to sort the problem out??). My daughter is fuming with the outcome and so am I.
I work in the Service Industry myself and there seems to be a lack of realisation within Peter Mark that the customer is paying for a service and if they are not happy you don't argue back with an arrogant patronising tone.
I explained on the phone that I will not be back and there was no attempt to try and come to a solution.
Customer service skills severely lacking in Peter Mark Wexford.
