I have been a customer of this Salon for the last 21 years and have spent a lot of money on services and products plus I always tip generously. 6 months ago I had a sub-standard haircut and requested to have it redone which it was thankfully, so I continued to remain a loyal customer as they had remedied their mistakes. However my daughter attended the salon in Wexford today as she had cut her own hair so she needed to get it evened out. She has bob length hair and as you can imagine after taking a scissors to it herself it was very uneven. She went in today to have it evened out. A conversation was had with the stylist and €50 handed over. Met my daughter afterwards with her hair tied up. The Hair was not even, the sides underlayer was longer than the outer layer and far from straight. I rang the hairdressers to query this and was advised that this was more or less what my daughter asked for??!! As a Professional Hairdresser it is part of their role in my understanding to advise customers regarding potential outcomes of decisions. The Hairdresser I spoke with argued her point that my daughter had asked for an inch off her hair (even though the hairdresser could see this was not going to sort the problem out??). My daughter is fuming with the outcome and so am I. I work in the Service Industry myself and there seems to be a lack of realisation within Peter Mark that the customer is paying for a service and if they are not happy you don't argue back with an arrogant patronising tone. I explained on the phone that I will not be back and there was no attempt to try and come to a solution. Customer service skills severely lacking in Peter Mark Wexford. I had an appointment to have my hair cut and dyed and after a…read moreconsultation with the stylist we decided to apply a semi-permanent colour in a honey brown colour over my own ash brown hair. I was happy with this as it was a warmer version of my own hair colour. So I sat back and let the colourist apply the colour. After washing it out I noticed that my hair looked a lot darker in the mirror but thought nothing of it as it was wet. As the stylist started blow drying my hair it became apparent that my hair was almost a black brown and not the colour at all I wanted. I think the stylist must have noticed that I wasn't happy and commented that "I probably thought the colour looked darker but it looks warmer and I'd see that once I was out in natural light". I told her that it was darker and hoped that she was right. She wasn't. My hair is now a black brown and I hate it. I've washed it God knows how many times in the last 24 hours in an attempt to lighten it but nothing has worked. I'll never go here again, and to top it all off the hair cut I received was also terrible as one side is longer than the other. I wouldn't recommend anyone visit this salon. Ever.
