The director is very active and engaged with our children and they even yell her name each day we walk into the building just to say hi! Now that says a lot and she is not my children's teacher. The teachers have taken the time out to hear my concerns that I have had a pervious child care centers and have listened and I see a big difference. Yes there has been turnover at the school but to me I feel it has been for the better. Everyone seems so happy, they speak to me and my children each day and I can truly say my children are thriving in this program. I definitely recommended Childtime of Columbia if you want structure for your little ones :) This is our families happy place!

There were several times when I picked my son up and his diaper was soiled. Unfortunately, he wasn't getting the proper attention and care he needed. The quality of services/curriculum wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The best thing I could've done is take him out of Childtime. Since placing my son in a new daycare, he has been flourishing and not once have I heard from his teachers and dean that he's aggressive.

Come to find out, The Young School keeps your info on file indefinitely even if you never tour or enroll your child. I inquired years ago when my middle child who is now 9 was one. They had no openings then. This means that they have had my info lying dormant for 8 years which I signed nothing agreeing to. I've gotten married, changed my name and had another baby since. None of this would have been an issue if the rep didn't respond in a suspicious tone when I provided my name. Instead of saying, "hey, I see you may have inquired about our center in the past, have you had a name change or gotten married?' It was more of a tone that conveyed suspicion. Just a weird interaction altogether. When I brought it to the attention of the rep she began to raise her voice and ask for even MORE personally identifying information. Lady I just want to know if you have any openings to start! May be a nice center maybe not, I would never know thanks to this initial interaction.

Be that as it may, I still think it's reasonable as a prospective patron to expect follow-through and timely responsiveness (meaning no more than two business days). We chose Goddard after trying others and found that it, and owner Sheeba Mathew have no equal. Ms. Sheeba knows the name of every child, every parent, every sibling, and in some cases even the grandparents of every child who is currently or has ever been a member of the Goddard family. Beyond keeping our children safe and comfortable, Ms. Sheeba and her incredible staff of administrators and teachers provide a wonderful foundation for kids to learn and grow. There is very little teacher turnover, which is great because it gives stability at an age where kids tend to really need it. When you see your kids eyes light up as they run into the classroom and hug their teachers, you just know you've made the right call. The education provided at Goddard is also outstanding. My 5 year old son has learned not just reading and numbers but science and history. He's learned about the world that surrounds him goes well beyond his Maryland zip code. I've watched him thrive in this beautiful, amazing environment. It's been incredible. This week we say goodbye to the school we love. Next week he will start kindergarten. His years at Goddard have prepared him for this, and I am beyond grateful. He is ready to achieve great things. Though both his heart and mine break at the thought of leaving, we know that we will remain part of that special community Ms. Sheeba has created and we remain eternally thankful for it. Teachers and families are thoroughly involved in running the school and are responsive to families' needs. Toys and learning tools are constantly rotated and updated in the classroom and the attached, enclosed playground. Tuition at this non-profit cooperative preschool is affordable and kept at a reasonable rate. We're looking forward to more years at WLCN!

Sure, I may be able to get a little cheaper if I have my kids go to a home daycare, but the care that they get here is why I love it. They have cameras in the class so I can always check in on my little ones whenever I want and they give multiple updates a day via the daycare's app so I never feel like I'm missing much. The teachers treat my kids like their own and I truly feel like they love them. If I voice any discomfort or worry, they work with me immediately. You can tell the Director truly has a passion for this job and the kids, and she schedules fun times each season and most holidays to really make you feel like this is more than just a daycare. If you're thinking about bringing your kid/baby here, stop thinking and just do it. I truly love them.

I watched the live stream in his classroom (toddler) ~2hrs a day and had seen 2 times a teacher caught my son's arms and forced him to sit still no matter how hard he was fighting. After got home on these 2 days, the scratches on his arms were obvious... He was only 1.5 years old and not able to tell us what's happened. We had reported to school the next day and the teacher didn't tell the truth until we told we were watching. We had reported to their district manager and child service in government. But the teacher who hurt him was still working there before we changed school. Actually not only my son, his little friends had suffered similar experiences that I saw. That teacher disciplined kids almost everyday! I doubt her profession, because kids were reading books alone just before discipline. My son was very quite at this school and he became verbal 1 month after he got into a new place. We're so grateful to our decision!

Ms. Melissa and Ms. Hanna are amazing leaders who listen and pivot when needed. They really listen; the moral compass of the school is the child. We researched and toured four local daycares and ultimately chose the young school. We are glad we did. Ms Susan and Ms Kimi have been great and the administration staff is super attentive and friendly. The school is clean and well run. Their communication has been excellent and they take great care of our son. We particularly like the SproutAbout app which provides regular activity updates on everything from bottle feeding to activities which makes us feel like we are involved even while away and provides a sense of security in understanding what transpires during the day.
