A time was set for Doris to visit our house and provide an estimate to tile the bathrooms and master tub. Doris arrived late - her excuse should have been different. Apparently, her shrimp man was late and she needed to get some shrimp for dinner. I would prefer to think that our business was more important than this, or that at least you avoid the topic altogether. "Sorry, we are running behind today." Oh, try calling ahead to notify the customer. Nevertheless, her estimate was very detailed and she provided many useful suggestions along the way, as opposed to several other vendors who only provided exactly what was asked for. I was struck in that Artistic seemed interested in the entire project, to include the transitions between rooms and you knew, that while 40% more than other vendors in price, you wouldn't have to call other folks, plumbers, carpenters (1/4inch round), and the like to finish the job. In the end, the project was started on time, and finished on time. The result looks great. There was only one part, re-attaching the tub spout, which now with the extra tile no longer attach to the pipe. However, they are not plumbers. Still, a bit disappointed in that despite their interest in the project, they owners never did manage to inspect the results. I recommend Artistic as you will get a quality project that views their work in the whole, as a part of your home, and you will not have too many other odds and ends that need to be cleaned up by other services.

Due to my stupidity I failed to notice that you were locked into the contract if you did not cancel within 3 days. The work took a total of about 6 hours which translated into an hourly rate of $500. Mr Freeman states that this is his standard hourly rate. If you have money to burn then by all means contract with Sir Grout. On the other hand if you wish to be more frugal, I suggest that you hire 2 handymen who are experienced in tile cleaning and grout repair and pay them $100 an hour and you would have accomplished the job at half the price. Not worth the value.
