Further investigation revealed that Mr. Panos' General Contracting License for jobs over $30,000 was suspended as of May 31, 2022 - the very day he signed a contract with us. Since July 2022, Mr. Panos has unpaid judgments in Onslow & Carteret Counties totaling $233,900.00. DO NOT HIRE HIM TO DO WORK FOR YOU REGARDLESS OF WHAT SOMEONE TELLS YOU ABOUT HIS WORK. This project was a major remodel of condo unit at Emerald Isle. Mr. Panos estimated project to take 30-45 days. Once installment payment(s) were made, Mr. Panos became more difficult and eventually impossible to contact. All the lies and excuses surfaced. After removing the gate and the wall to the right of it he had to take a break! He left the project multiple times. This was a regular occurrence for the day. He arrived at my property at 9:30am and left eventually left at about 7pm. HE HAD NOT COMPLETED ANYTHING! The back gate was the size of a panel that can be purchased from Lowes or Home Depot. He was going to leave both the front corner and the back TOTALLY OPEN! I have 2 small dogs and I expressed my concern about their safety. The portion at the back on required 11 pickets and he was unable to complete that small portion after being on the job for 9 HOURS! He had to bring someone else in because the small job that he claimed to be able to do alone turned out he could not! The gentleman he brought back with him help him close the corne of the gate and a portion of the back within 1HOUR! Apparently he did not have All the material necessary to do the job either. He said it would be complete, meaning everything done by Wednest. He had to come back out Thursday 6 Oct 2022 to put the third hinge and a handle on the gate as well as sawing off all the sharp edges from the screws so that my dogs or myself did not get injured. He also debated and made excuses for things that I pointed out that needed to be corrected or was wrong. He allso charged me extra because he claime he was short on materials... Basically he can't count/do math or he was milking me for more money to pay the gentleman who's help he needed. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
