They do a lot of advertising so I guess that's where a lot of it goes. Also there's extra cost of having a person just for giving estimates. Downsides could be details not conveyed to the crew or having to explain it again. On the plus side, they were available fairly quickly. Or is that a bad thing? I guess if you have an emergency and need tree work done right away and money is not a priority, give them a call. But if you have time, always get multiple quotes and check their insurance and licenses, don't just trust their word.

I have to begin this review by saying that Stewart's Lawn Care once was a good business. I have been a customer for years. They would thoroughly spray your lawn and if they didn't do a good job, they would come back. That is the only thing that made their very high prices worth it. However, in the last year or so, they have become a genuinely awful and unreliable company. I have repeatedly had weeds pop up because they do not do a thorough job and then when I ask them to re-treat the flower beds, it is an enormous hassle getting them to agree to come back and they fail to properly spray the weeds again. Their 1.9 star average rating is very accurate. Today was the final straw. They arrived just before it started raining and left right when it was raining. When I texted them to make sure that would come back and complete the job, the office manager claimed that they had done the whole house. I informed them that I have cameras around my house and I had proof that the technician did not complete my yard. Regardless of my proffer to provide them the videos, she did not care at all. She said that she was certain that they did the complete yard. I also want to specify that the office manager in particular was particularly unhelpful. She could not care less about customers. It is amazing that a customer facing company would hire people who care so little about customers that have been with them for a while. I want to promise you that if you use Stewart's, you will regret it. Avoid them like the plague. They are very highly priced, they could not care less about their customers or doing a good job. I called Stewart after two other aeration companies made appointments and just didn't show up. My…read moremother has a decent sized property - about 25,000 square feet of lawn. She'd been trying to get it aerated, and had made reservations with two separate companies, both of which left her hanging. I was pretty frustrated with one of them because they made her get up at six in the morning to put little flags all over the yard by the sprinkler heads. And then the guy didn't even have the decency to call to let her know he wasn't coming. I wish I knew the name of that company so I could tell people not to use them, but my sister made the appointment - I think it was a one-man outfit. So I hit the pages of Yelp and started looking. Stewart got great reviews so I called them up. They were one of the few companies that would even do it; many aeration shops were shut down for the summer. I got a friendly voice on the line quickly that told me all about Stewart. He explained that they are a little more expensive than some companies, but highlighted the benefits. The main thing I needed was someone to actually do what they promised and show up. Stewart over-delivered. They said they were booked about a week out, I said that was fine. They came out in less than a week and did a great job. They didn't make my mom put the little flags out, and they didn't damage any sprinklers. I can't recommend these guys enough. Yes, you might pay a little more, but "you get what you pay for" really rings true with Stewart.

I need received a $157 bill by email three months later in June. When I responded back that I did not believe the service had ever been performed. After several emails back and forth I never heard from them again, so I assumed they had taken care of the issue. Then a month and half later I received a collections notice. They finally waived the service fee, but it was a hassle and took me speaking very strongly.

Then the lawn services moved over to your sister company Stewart. About two weeks ago, I got a call while in the Middle East telling me that that my seasonal series were being terminated immediately because Stewart was losing money on every trip to our home. I invoked my larger relationship with Sav-A-Tree and made a plea to at least finish the season due to the totally unexpected and unwarranted inconvenience. I made clear that I understood the business decision, but neither understood nor appreciated the abrupt inconvenience. I also understand that Stewart was within their contractual rights to terminate, but made clear that the question of whether it was an ethical business decision was a completely different matter. The answer from the representative of Stewart's was a firm no. I made clear that this was not how a decent business should be run. I was disappointed, to say the least. I have begun to make alternative arrangements already, but want to raise this issue up the corporate ladder. This is not the way to run a customer focused business. Period. End of Story. So, the company responded a second time...no apologies, nothing, which is completely unacceptable for a customer facing company. I will continue to raise this issue up the corporate ladder until there is a resolution that is satisfactory. They don't get what I'm saying....which confirms how tone-deaf Stewart's is. If I could give zero stars, I would.
