We were told Paula had extensive experience grooming the breed. When we arrived and dropped off our dogs, plans suddenly changed, and instead an apprentice groomer handled both dogs. Both dogs were completely botched so badly that we had to take them to another groomer. One of our dogs had to be shaved down to a zero to fix the damage from a completely different groomer. His coat was completely ruined by this purported "grooming". We paid $383 and were promised a refund by the owner, Lua, but she later refused to honor it. We had to dispute the charge with our credit card company. Very disappointing experience, poor workmanship, and unprofessional handling of the situation. Be Cautious!

Upon entering the store, we were greeted by Leonie and her staff who were all very friendly. They have a variety of products from pet food to leashes. There are so many things that you will have to come check out the store yourself! They offer Grooming or you can Self Wash your dog. If you Self Wash, all you'll need to bring is your dog since they have all the supplies you will need including a dryer to dry them when you're done. Their Grand Opening is scheduled for next weekend, starting on Friday, 2/27 through Sunday, 3/1. There are a lot of events scheduled... check out the flyer I posted. They are located in the Countryside Shops off of Flamingo Road and Stirling Road in Cooper City. I'm glad we have a local pet store in the neighborhood. It's going to be very convenient to pick up a bag of dog food when we need it which will be pretty often with 3 dogs!

When I got home, my dog's face was still dirty around his eyes. I had to use my own tear stain wipes to finish cleaning his face myself. If I had noticed how dirty his face still was before leaving, I would have brought him right back. While cleaning his face, I discovered a patch missing near his eye that was bleeding. My dog has never had a cut on his face before. I immediately called the groomer and was told his face wasn't dirty, even though I had just cleaned visible tear staining and debris from around his eyes myself. Instead of addressing my concern, I was given multiple explanations for what might have happened. I was told maybe my dog scratched himself, maybe it happened after I picked him up, and maybe I somehow caused it while cleaning his eyes. Everything was suggested except the possibility that it happened during grooming. His tail was also not properly finished. It appeared to be washed and blown out, but it was still tangled and nappy. I had to comb it myself and trim the ends when I got home. The owner asked me to bring my dog back so he could look at the area, but after spending several minutes arguing about how he didn't do it and how something else must have happened, I had no confidence that my concerns were being taken seriously. I don't know exactly how the patch near my dog's eye happened. What I do know is that I picked up a dog with a dirty face, had to clean him myself, discovered a bleeding patch near his eye, and was met with excuses instead of accountability. For $85 plus tip, this experience was completely unacceptable.

I am beyond outraged by the inhumane and negligent treatment of these animals at Forever Love Puppies in Pembroke Park. We purchased two puppies: a 3-month-old Chihuahua and a 2-month-old Pomeranian. They came home sick. No family should ever experience the fear and financial burden of bringing home a puppy only to find out it is already ill. The so-called "complimentary" veterinary visit that this store "gifts" buyers to use is completely misleading. Our puppies were never examined by a veterinarian, yet we were assured by a staff assistant that they were "perfect" without any tests or physical examination. Side note on this fraud of a clinic: When I walked out of the examination room, there was a dead dog on the bench next to a lady in the waiting room. Such a level of unprofessionalism or disrespect is unbelievable. The attendant called someone to "come get the body". Didn't offer a room for the lady to grieve and choose the urn made her pay and choose in front of everyone with her dead dog on the bench behind her. Days later, our Chihuahua puppy ended up in the emergency room severely dehydrated with signs of Ataxia, a neurological symptom. The result? Over $1,200 in emergency veterinary bills and weeks of emotional distress, all of which could have been avoided with proper care and honest medical screening. We were told that a simple fecal test would have immediately detected Giardia. That basic test was never performed, even though the paperwork states otherwise. We took our boys to our private veterinarian, and both were diagnosed with Giardia. Even more disturbing is the breeder listed on our paperwork. A quick search reveals serious public concerns tied to this breeder. When we looked up the address ourselves using publicly available satellite imagery, the location appears to be a barn-like structure with no visible evidence of adequate shelter or proper housing facilities. At the time, temperatures were around 32 degrees. The thought of vulnerable puppies being housed and possibly transported in those conditions is horrifying. The fact that this store continues to source from breeders surrounded by red flags demonstrates either a shocking lack of due diligence or a complete disregard for animal welfare and consumer protection. There is also a publicly available news report involving the owner's son, Larry Master, which every potential buyer should watch before considering a purchase. Reports and documentation show that puppies are transported in freezing temperatures, with hundreds crammed into trucks and distributed to pet stores across the country. These are living, breathing animals, not merchandise, not inventory, not commodities. This entire experience was irresponsible, unethical, and deeply disturbing. I love that they follow requests too! I always ask them to let me know 10-15mins before she's done so that I can be there right when she's done. My Lotty girl does not like to be crated. I suppose she had a bad experience before I rescued her. Therefore, I try to make sure that she never has to be! They also have some really good food toppers that my Lotty girl loves. The pumpkin is her favorite!

On the morning of May 3rd, I took my 1-year-old puppy to the vet for his routine annual checkup. The vet said everything looked great and recommended I take him to a groomer soon to have the hair in his ears trimmed. That same day, I decided to take him--along with my two other dogs a place I had used twice before and previously liked. But this visit went completely wrong. Later that day, I received a call simply letting me know the dogs were ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was shocked to learn that my 11-year-old dog had suffered a deep cut on her leg. The staff told me at pickup and said they had already arranged everything with an emergency vet, She was bleeding on the way, and the wound required three stitches. However, they only told me about the deep cut. We later discovered she also had a second, smaller cut near her elbow, which was never mentioned and only noticed the following day at home.(No follow up call to check on the dog was made from their end) As for my 1-year-old puppy--not a single injury was reported to me. After getting home, I discovered he had two superficial cuts on his skin, a cut on his ear, and the most serious injury--a razor burn on his testicles. None of this was brought to my attention at pickup the staff didn't even notice the injuries, which is extremely concerning. I had to take him to my vet for treatment and pay all costs out of pocket. Despite all of this, we were charged in full for the grooming, prompted to leave a tip, and even billed a "convenience fee"--with no explanation as to what that fee was for. Accidents can happen, but transparency, accountability, and attention to detail are non-negotiable when caring for pets. This experience showed a complete lack of awareness and communication. I will not be returning, and I urge other pet owners to be extremely cautious before bringing their pets here All the photos are attached.
