This Petro is a bit Retro, if you know what I mean. But I'm a bit Metro, so it makes sense. I'm a big fan of Petro stores in general and they usually have a truck stop with an Iron Skillet Restaurant and a lot of other cool stuff in them. This is no exception. One of the greatest things about this one is the decor. It's all Scandinavian and Vikings and awesome. They just did a brilliant job with it. Gas is usually cheap as it is on the other side of the highway but I prefer this truck stop just because it has more of a local flavour and a viking flavour and I'm a big fan. read more

This place is probably okay for gas, but that's about where it ends. After having breakfast in the Iron Skillet restaurant, we stopped at the fudge counter so Mom could get some to bring home. We waited for someone to help us. And then we waited some more. The employees at the Caribou Coffee stand nearby looked at us, and then looked away, worried that we would ask them for fudge. Another employee walked by and meticulously rearranged the clothing on the back wall but never once looked our direction or offered to help or fetch someone to help us. Perhaps I should have gone five stars since we left without buying the fudge that we definitely did not need? read more

Pretty cool Petro with a lot of cool trinkets inside to purchase for the family back home! Clean restrooms and there is usually never a wait at the fuel island. The only negative is the Iron Skillet inside is NOT 24 hours and closes pretty dang early. I think this is the only Petro outside of or near the Saint Paul/Minneapolis area so stop in if you're headed further north to Duluth or something. All major truck stop are pretty scarce in Minnesota period, not sure why. read more

For many years this has been my fav spot to stop along my travels through here. How disappointing to find this place has gone to complete crap. Restaurants closed, service was terrible, bathrooms never updated and disgusting. Just terrible. read more

We were just passing through but headed farther up north and decided to stop and as we had seen Highway signs it looked like it was going to be nice place to get coffee and use restrooms. Once we got inside I was so happy to see the huge selection of items from home decor to jewelry to travel items in addition to a restaurant and gas station snacks. And a Caribou coffee right in the middle!!!! Let me just say that the lady being the jewelry counter was not very friendly and as I wandered through the store I would look up and she was slowly passing by just looking... gave me the impression that she thought I was going to take something!!!!! Made me uncomfortable to say the least!!!!! I also had problems trying to open the caribou perks up on my phone and I got to the counter and the girl told me she would be right back to help me then after a few minutes of her helping shove some equipment around and laughing she came back and I told her I couldn't get in the perks and she let me know that the system was down and she couldn't sell me any coffee or scones!!!!! WTH????? She could have told me that before making me wait 5 minutes!!!! Can say that I will not stop ever again which is a shame because there is some really cute items there..... so if you don't mind being followed then go for it!!!! read more
