We stopped at the service shop to see if they could do a PM and a small repair on our truck. It's located past the main building and diesel fuel pumps at the end or back of the parking lot. Once we were checked in, they had us pull our truck around to wait for a tech to have us pull our truck in the bay. There is a small waiting area inside where we waited while the work was done. We were there a couple of hours. It's a bit of a walk on a hot day if you want to go up to the main building, so we stayed put. It took a couple of hours and we were on our way. Good service. Good price compared to going to a dealer. read more

I like using the CAT scales to weigh my load of the merchandise I'm carrying. The government allows you to carry only 80,000 lbs and this CAT scale can allow you to check that your not overweight on any axle or total weight. They do charge $13.00 every time on a new load. You can adjust your truck tandem axle to balance and do a re-weigh for $3.00. The weigh stations will measure your total weight of your truck every time. read more

Gone down hill over the years, used to be THE place to stop. Crome shop and large parking area are the main reasons to stop, employees are friendly and help. The only food left is convenience store and Wendy's. Bathrooms are old and very poorly ventilated. Just has a run down feeling to it. read more

This truck stop is located very close to the road, so when you will need to pull over to reload to continue on your journey thy is is the place. This property has plenty of parking spots and its pretty clean. The interior of this place looks clean too. the convenience store has everything you need to continue driving. Their showers are clean too. Its an But 12 dollars. They have their own towels and soap. Its pretty cool. They have gifts hop it will suck you i. And you will be walking around and checking out stuff. They have sports for any trucks either you regular dry van or an oversize. I like stopping here because it is interesting to look at the stuff this truck stop has to offer. They also have Wendy's here. Just in case you get really hungry. read more

Wish I could give negative stars, this was at one time the best truck stop in the KC metro area. Looks like the corporate ass hats have finally got their way. All the truck chrome and accessories are GONE just like the restaurant. Saddens me to think that the other three this family owns maybe headed down the toilet like this one. Having a good stop & an interesting one! Haha Stopped last nite to park and found a good spot next to a day cab up front.. no one there. It was quiet. Saw they had a tent up and thought they would be selling fireworks. Nope! Truckers Jamboree today. So guess we will hang out. Came in this morning for breakfast. I had oatmeal with a side of chopped steak (4.99) ala carte. Bf had chopped steak n eggs today surprise!! Hehe. I was shaking my steak sauce then took the cap off and noticed it was new ! So I gave it a one two with the seal on... and it came off... u guessed it!!! O-M-G what a spill lmao!!!! All over my shirt my pants the chair next to me and thru the ladder back into the floor splash !!!!! I was in shock that it went as far as it did!! I was literally soaked and smelled like steak sauce lol!! As we were eating I notice I had gotten Bf too! So guess it was shower and laundry time... uh ya...!! We are up in the laundry room and the washers are grey! Must be a new color. I oxicleaned the hell outta my shirt and light colored blue jeans. So let's hope it will be all good when done. The showers were great ( and I got all the sticky off me hehe) and big too. Good attendance on those too. An older guy training a young gal. The upstairs is nice with a sitting area, fitness room too and small TV room. So after laundry we will check out the Jamboree. We heard there will be fireworks tonite too!! Woo hoo! read more

This place has become a dump. Used to be a great truck stop but now they've closed the restaurant, raised prices to ridiculous amounts, and decided they don't have to be friendly to make money. No one here cares. This is why truck drivers don't respect these places. Want respect you have to earn respect. What a shame. read more

Nice large clean parking lot, and store to match. As stated before there is a Wendy's, Dairy Queen, and the standard Iron Skillet for food options. They do have several rows of grocery store items, I didn't go look at the pricing on them. Hope you like chrome, there is so much to choose from if you desire, or lights, of every color and shape. Stacks, steering wheels and stickers too. A whole section of load securement as well. If you decide to venture upstairs, you'll bee greeted by a barbershop, small laundry faculty, gym, showers and a free movie theatre where you can choose the movie. There are two secrets that I'll reveal, there is a large lower parking lot that a lot of truckers won't use, guessing it to far for them to waddle with their 200 ounce bladder buster and bakers dozen of pastries. The other is the KC BBQ at the edge of the lot, you'll have to read my review on them, it's worth the walk for me or waddle for some. read more

I would not waist my time stopping here. the took out the restaurant and put in unhealthy fast-food, their shop doesn't hire experienced mechanics, that can change out a fuel transfer pump, 2 hoses and 2 bolts off and the same on. they refused. i had a plugged fuel line as well and they wouldn't touch anything to do with fuel. lack of experience? who knows! they hire oil change jockeys and teach them to change tires and brakes! I did the work myself in the rain in the middle of the night. when i was done i them had hoses that are plugged with gunk and asked can they remove them blow air through to clear them up. No! is all i got. my truck when i got it running, would only send fuelbfrom both tanks to the driver side tank and overfilled onto the ground, hense need air to blow out the gunk at the T. asked to transfer fuel from full tank to empty tank! NO! again! next is to call EPA amd report a fuel spill that they could have prevented had their answer not always been NO! sad part is i fuel a specifically TA/Petro everywhere and its their fuel that caused the issues. service is getting non-existent with TA/Petro nation-wide. it is just not a good idea to do business that way.the trucks are keeping you in business. without they wouldn't even be able to sell their high priced Chinese made chrome. done ranting read more

What a disappointment the "Oak Grove70" Petro was. I had an 18 hour layover in Kansas City so I took it at the Petro. Which was once a fantastic truck stop. THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING REST STOP STORE EVER!!!!!! On a road trip and realize you need a samurai sword? Souvenirs? Beanie baby? Fishing rod? Iceless cooler? Fuel measuring stick? Keychain? Post card? Medieval shield? Dairy Queen? This place has got it. All the usual convenience store stuff plus aisles and aisles of things I didn't even know existed. Has an Amazing gift - food shop. Very clean inside and out. Also has an Iron Skillet, Dairy Queen and a Wendy's. Has free indoor wifi. Large parking lot for any rig. Can stay overnight. Gas is .04 cheaper across the road but still within the going rate. This city has the friendliest people I have ever met. read more

Typical Iron Skillet, some servers during the day are lazy. Average food, I only will eat the breakfast buffet early because so many truck drivers don't wash their hands after using the restrooms. Texas Steerburger is huge, Philly ,and fries is good.Laurie overnight is great. read more
