We have been dislocated from our home since November and have been in and out of hotels and our car all along I-80 from Lincoln, NE, to Denver, CO. We looked up the prior reviews on-line and they just don't do you justice. Yes, there are pot holes and the lot is bumpy...however, the employees have gone over, above and beyond to make us feel part of the TA Petro family in York. They have looked out for us, assisted us whenever necessary and made us feel safe and secure on those nights we have been in the car. The employees make all the rest just irrelevant. Bathrooms were disgusting and filthy. No toilet paper. When noted to the attendant, he simply turned away.

Avoid at all costs. I stopped there to buy gas. I payed for fuel. upon returning to the pump, i realized, I was chosen to buy premium fuel. I never selected premium fuel. I tried to get a return. They said it would show up in a FEW DAYS. I am a week out and still have no return. I wouldnt complain if I didnt get the return. But, they had the nerve to hang up on me when I called about the return, I realize its only 15$, but its the last 15$ i had, I STILL NEED THAT 15$. some of you may not. I do. read more

Should've gone to the Shell instead. This was a gross gas station and was without the common freebies of windshield wiper fluid or towels. The fluid container had something in it, due to its differing colors I didn't bother. When I grabbed the squeegee the fluid was dirty. Its possibly because of snow and splashes, though if no one has bothered checking it in a month of two that would explain that as well. Most truck stops would keep those items stocked because clarity in winter conditions! In wintery weather we all need to see and windshields take a beating from the weather. The station looks worn like a used, grimey, old sneaker that got much use but hardly any care. Dirty, grimey but with a game room, a fully stocked Pizza hut carry out and Baskin Robbins. Aside from the major details, there were too many "randos" walking around/ hanging around the restrooms. If having women folk or small children, take care and pay attention to your surroundings. For the bare essentials of road travel it was fine. The employees of the station are stellar, nice people. Though service at the eateries could use some customer service training. read more

Stopped for gas. The first pump did not work and was not marked, it showed an error code on the screen. Went in and notified the cashier. Went and the error code was cleared, but the pump still did not work. got the same error message. I went to a second pump which did work and used pay at the pump to save time. But I had to go in to get a receipt. When I came out another poor customer was at the first pump trying to get gas and was not able, because they had cleared the error code, but not fixed anything and had not tag/bagged the pump as out of order. What should have been a 10 min. gas stop was close to a half hour. read more

This truckstop is very nice and has a lot of parking for your truck. I was surprised to see that you can reserve the spot there for your truck. This place also haveThe store inside like every other truck stop. The outside is pretty clean and well maintenance. They inside the store has absolutely everything that you will need to keep on on your trip. The bathrooms was very clean and also were well maintenance. The coffee here is also good. I got here from this truck stop a cup that holds the temperature of your drink. Because every time I would get the coffee if would be cold in about half an hour. (I like to drive with an Air Condition on. Workers are also very nice and professional. read more

Patricia, the manager should be ashamed of herself. There's a missing elderly couple from right down the road in Aurora and she would not let the couples son put up a missing flyer at her station. I hope everybody from Aurora and everybody who reads this post keeps on going to the Aurora station which is actually much cleaner. read more

This is a little old run down truck stop BUT the customer service was great, the restrooms were very clean as well as the store and we were hungry when we went in and were happy to see they had a full spread for breakfast in the warmer case.. we got cheesy eggs and 2 sides which were bacon and sausage and all three tasted fabulous and for under 6 dollars a plate we def got what we paid for.. We will for sure stop there again on our way by in the future.. read more

5 stars!! Great little area for pets! Fully fenced and picnic bench, poopie bags and garbage can and very clean Oh and grass, not dirt or weeds! Couple of trees and enough room for my blue Heeler to run and play! Thanks Petro!! Will be looking for more Petros that offer this play area read more

Can't miss it bright red! waitress in the iron skillet was fantastic, but the one cashing out had major attitude problem. over priced for a extremely long wait shower ! Watch out for drive offs at their pumps. You will be ripped off. I found a pump that displayed a previous total ($47 about). I swiped my card, and nothing happened - it did not let me dispense any fuel. The place was packed, so rather than go into the building and complain, I just drove to the next pump and fuelled. At home, Surprise! I was billed for the first pump too. Petro York disputed my charge dispute report and I have no recourse other than YELPing. read more

Restroom clean, both sexes. Fuel island dirty, several types of fluids spilled. Glass around trash receptacles on fuel island. Trash full & overflowing. Key pads not working properly, antiquated. Have to enter data twice before it takes. Smell of urine overwhelming in parking lot, makes your eyes water. Not much offered in healthful selections for to go meals. read more

First, the reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of one is because the people who work there are extremely nice( the lady who cleans the showers was really great). However, the number of homeless people is very concerning especially considering the 3 that I encountered seemed to have mental issues. They hang around near the drivers shower area. I was taking a shower and someone tried to open the door. There needs to be security if they are going to allow them to sleep on the benches and in the message chairs which are next to the open rest rooms and shower area. And while in the restaurant, I saw a guy eating off the salad bar with his fingers. I reported it to the manager who said, she was sorry and that's why she doesn't eat at buffets. This place is the worst Petro I've ever been too. read more

We stopped to trade our propane tanks and get the kids some ice cream. The lady said she didn't know how to change out the tanks.

We're traveling with a large fifth wheel RV. In the auto pumping section there is a nice tall roof so we didn't have to worry about clearance. But there was only one filling pump on one end that had non-commercial diesel available. It would have been nice if they had diesel available on both of the end filling pumps. Nice dog area with grass & a fence. Big convenience store inside with buffet restaurant and a Baskin Robbins! Nice staff. Big truck stop facility with truck wash. We did not go over to the truck section for non-commercial diesel, so can't comment on that part. read more

Diesel pump on the auto side island pumps about as slow as it ever gets... and the station refuses to fix the problem! It's been this way for MONTHS!!! What poor business management practices. Pitiful. read more

This is a Family friendly stop they have every thing you want and it is Trucker based but Family also great showers,restaraunt,showers,movie room clean bathrooms,friendly cashiers ,porters upper Management. Clean and friendly with everything a traveler could need. The pizza at the Pizza Hut Express takes forever.

It's big. Has a little different stuff than the more predominant chains in the area. Different dining options like Pizza Hut or sit-down cafe. I just wanted to use the restroom & refill my coffee & couldn't get my stupid truck to go into either of a pair of those blind-side slant spots in the front row. Rather than waste more time, embarrass myself further, or take somebody's mirror off, I abandoned further attempts & parked by a no parking sign. I'll practice my backing sometime when I don't have to pee. read more

We often stop here for fuel. Yesterday, Christmas 2013, we were driving thru and called to see if the restaurant might be doing anything special for the Holiday. Sure enough. Stopped in the Petro in York and was surprisingly disappointed with the food preparation and presentation. I ordered 2 pancakes, bacon and 2 eggs over easy. The servers were prompt and really did a good job, but none the less the chef needed some help. When my order came out (30 mins later) the pancakes were doughy, wet and undone. I called it to the attention of the server and she took them back to be remade. She got back about 30 minutes later and again the pancakes were doughy, wet, and undone. And to top it off now the eggs were cold, and the bacon was tough and chewy as it wasn't cooked fresh and tasted like it was old and off off the buffet that had just been taken up a little earlier. I was very disappointed in the meal and had the server take the charge for it off of the ticket. When I mentioned it at the counter when asked " How was it?" They nonchalantly walked away without even an apology. I walked away and I don't think I'll return to the Iron Skillet Resturant in York Nebraska ever again as I don't believe my Rat Terrier would try to stomach that garbage they are serving. read more
